Cracker Barrel

Gave it five stars because overall the food is always exceptional. With the curbside at the Decatur location it is very confusing to keep moving the location of the signs. That was step one to me getting my food over 20 minutes after it was done. I did not receive a text, they said my parking space notification did not come through, and the purpose of a person's telephone number when ordering food sometimes is to pick it up and say it's ready. Outside of my last visit this is a place for great food.

Went here for dinner with family and when we got there, we were told there would be a 25 minute wait... When I counted there were 6 empty tables and it was 3 adult and a child. When asked if my grandma could have a seat until the table come open the young lady at the front hesitated and acted like it was a problem. As we sat there we saw 3 families get seated before us. We asked an they kept saying your table will be ready in a minute. We almost left and that's when we were seated. Yes the food was good but the service was very selective.

Of course we go to restaurants to eat. But these days where service seems to not be a focus, I tend to be extra focused to give praise where it does not fall short. Renska the kind young lady who took care of me was fantastic. A smile was on her face, she was friendly, attentive and seemed like she loved her job and her customers. The food was fine but the service from Renska is what I enjoyed most about my visit!

My husband and I always eat breakfast here every Sunday morning when we are in town. However I seen something that said that they are introducing squash casserole. I don't know if this is going to be a permanent thing or if it's just a trial. I must know how it tastes so we will be back one evening for dinner.
