First time here today and can't say it's the best Indonesian I've tasted in Darwin or elsewhere. It's just as okay as its sister eatery (Sumatra Cafe), with a few small twists. I've been hearing people hype this place so much but unfortunately my heart is with another Indonesian eatery in the Darwin CBD 💔

If you are looking for an unpretentious, cheap, solidly tasty and filling meal, you have found it! Feels like a real warung in Indonesia - 3 choices with rice or noodles is $12 (small) or $13 (large). That's cheaper than a fancy sandwich in Darwin. The aunties who run this place are great!

Curry ayam was on the mark but the rendang lacked a pungent flavour, though still nice, while the egg plant lacked an infusion of flavour. Not up to the standard in other cities but better than the other local offerings.

Cheap but tasty Bain Marie food. A plate piled high with rice, curried chicken, vegetables and chili prawns for $12. Unbeatable value and service comes with a warm smile

Went looking for this restaurant (on foot) & walked past the position on Cavanagh St as highlighted by map on urban spoon. Nada. No lights, no restaurants. Only thing open nearby was the Coles Liquorland. Jan 4 2012 Wed night 9pm.
