Tried this takeaway for the first time last week. Good service and polite staff upon arrival to collect order. Food all correct as per telephone order. It was nice to have a chicken madras that actually had a bit of a kick to it, unlike the bland taste that many other takeaways serve up. 5*

Visited here tonight for the 1st time with my mate after having it recommended. Lovely place even if it wasn't very busy at all. The food was fresh and prompt. The curry was totally delicious, had a lamb Madras which was beautiful, nice and thick sauce with a very good kick without being over powering, staff polite and friendly and very reasonable price, will definitely be returning

Loved the indian from here, I'm not a big fan of spicy spicy food so tend to stick to the dry tikka and tandoori and the rice and na'ans and everything from here was perfect. Plus Maz in front of house was so lovely and made me so comfortable whilst I waited!

Such a Great Visit
Staying in Darlington a few days we ventured out to Spice 4U in Cockerton, a 40 minute walk from our hotel, the idea being that the walk to and fro would 'wear off' some of the calories ingested. And we are so happy we did. The food cooked by Shelim couldn't be faulted. Everything was so well blended and tasty we ate far more than we should have in one sitting. Shelim even very kindly rejigged ingredients to serve us our very favourite dish, Keema Pathia, which was not on the menu. Other main dishes we tried were Chicken Pathia (far better than we've had elsewhere) and Chicken Tikka Shashlick ( with chicken tikka pieces so well marinated they were incredibly soft and tasty). Naans were equally impressive and difficult to stop eating. Overall a meal far beyond expection. Our waiters Salah and Abdul also could not have been more helpful and we had a great time chatting to them between courses.
In terms of venue, Spice 4U is the first restaurant also handling takeaways that we've visited at which a door separates the restaurant from the takeaway counter. So much better an arrangement than having bags of food wafting past you on a regular basis while you're eating. And finally, we just have to mention the toilets... Wow! A lot of money has clearly been spent in provided such high quality and clean services, we just had to mention them here.
We'll definitely be back next time we're in the vicinity. It's such a shame we don't live closer by.

We have been wondering how good the food was at Spice 4U and finally ordered a take away yesterday. It was fantastic and we will defiantly paying another visit. The service was excellent and the staff very polite. It took 30 minutes from ordering to picking the meal up. We were advised that this was the best option saving us a long wait. ( Thursday evening ) The portions were also very large and the price very reasonable.
