Kitani Sushi

I gave them a 3/5 here is the reason why. Pros: 1) amazing family owned business and I understand why they weren't very attentive especially when this place has alot of regular customers coming in. This I understand. However, I believe they are a lovely family running the business 2) Seems they know the regulars by name. So if you need to find a place to relax and enjoy the night this is definitely your place. Cons: 1) Service was extremely slow with low attentiveness. Again, I understand that they get busy which is the reason for the 3/5 not anything lower. However, taking 45 minutes to make 2 maki rolls I ordered to go is a bit extreme? 2) Quality of fish and food - I grew up in the sushi business (my father is a sushi chef). The quality of the fish isn't the best and I thought it was overpriced. Now "quality" is relative which is why a 3/5 nothing lower. Overall, if you don't mind having sushi without thinking too much of top top quality this is the place for you. i.e. - if you don't mind driving a honda, instead of a lexus at the lexus price

My parents first took me there when i was two years old at their old location in Buford. Fast forward 21 years, and we come here for EVERY birthday in the family or anniversary. My boyfriend and I come at least once a week. Make sure to try the Yami- Yami Roll! Everything is fresh and the owners make the experience even better!
