Booked for Sunday lunch and arrived an hour early expecting to have to wait however, they managed to fit us in early. The service was excellent and the Sunday roast cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend.

First time coming here. WOW!! Staff are great.! Very good service. Food was to die for and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing, relaxed, great vibe.. I will be coming here time and time again. It shows the quality when on a Sunday at 19.15 it’s heaving with bookings and customers.! Nice one guys thanks for a great meal and a good time 👌I will be back soon

Really cool and atmospheric pub in Croyde with a surfer vibe. Six of us had dinner here, and the food was fantastic with huge servings - especially the tribute battered fish, mussels and the camembert. Definitely worth a visit in the area!

Unable to comment on rooms, as only visited for food after work. Both times have been excellent and the homemade brownie was outstanding🤩🤩few weeks left yet, so will definitely return to sample something else. Definitely recommend a visit here.

Love the Thatch, a Croyde classic and hasn't changed in years which is a good thing! Food is still decent pub grub, had the Balinese fish curry recently which is a bit pricey but super tasty so would recommend. Only thing slightly lacking is a great beer selection, just has the standard offerings from St Austell and the usual lager options, nothing overly exciting.

Portions were MASSIVE! Food was delicious, so flavourful and wholesome. Pulled pork nachos were very nice, a whole meal in themselves. Hake was cooked to perfection and tasted lovely, also massive. Fish and chips, scampi and burger were all delicious and massive. Moroccan lamb was so flavourful and delicious, also massive. Banoffi pie was gigantic and delicious!
Come hungry!!!

I visited the Thatch while on holiday to eat out for the night. One word to describe it and that is amazing ! The building itself is beautiful and the location is fab. The staff are super friendly and helpful and made you feel very welcome. The food is incredible and the serving sizes are incredibly generous definitely worth the money. I had a beef burrito bowl and my partner had scampi and chips with a side of cheesy garlic bread. The meal had no faults and was incredibly tasty! I highly recommend visiting the thatch if you are in Croyde for their amazing food and wonderful staff!

We came here just for food not for the hotel (didn’t have any space when we booked) and found the food to be mixed. The burgers were very tasty as was the vegetarian curry however the lasagne lacked flavour. Staff were very attentive though and the atmosphere was lovely.

We had the most incredible experience at The Thatch. I have Crohn’s disease and have dietary requirements, and was let down at the last minute by another restaurant on a Friday evening. We called The Thatch not thinking they’d have any tables but Lily (who is absolutely incredible) was so helpful and sorted us out straight away.
It’s a beautiful spot for a meal, and the food was delicious and really reasonable for the quality. Again, Lily was so helpful with our numerous dietary requirements and they have a really detailed allergen guide which lists full ingredients (very rare to find).
The service was amazing throughout and I would honestly make the 2 hour trip from where I live just to go back! Huge thanks again to Lily for being so lovely and making me feel like a normal person with all my requirements!

We went to The Thatch on recommendation. The atmosphere is okay. It is an old pub with and extension so we ended up in the newer part which felt very typical hotelly.
The food was good. We had ribs and ribeye steak. For the price I have had better food. The brownie however was divine.
We could only get a table at 1615 as they are very popular, so could not order everything on the menu and missed out on the evening blackboard. So I think we missed the real atmosphere.
Service was a bit slow, but we were in between a shift change.
Will give them another go.
