My first time here. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. We had the mapo tofu, spicy with a little tingle but not overwhelming. The garlic wings were crispy and the accompaniment of veggies was nice. The steam pork buns were amazing and doughy balls of goodness. And the garlic chicken lunch special was sweet and tasty. Specials are 7.99 and come with rice(fried or white) and either an egg roll or soda. We will totally be back

Authentic and great. We lived in Beijing for 3 years and have looked for an authentic Chinese restaurant. A Chinese colleague recommend Ocean Flame. It is fantastic. We had hot pot and some Sichuan dishes. The service is also great. We will make the trek from CT again.

BEST SPICY wings in RI! If you like the more moist spicy wings with tons of red peppers and sauce, this is the place..I get these often and it is always VERY good. I also ordered beef with broccoli before and you was very good too. Awesome place

The last 2times I went I was very disappointed. When I first found this restaurant I was so excited, the food was fresh and delicious. Went about 1 week ago ordered pork dumplings and they were so undercooked the meat looked raw! Ordered takeout last night and the fried cumin fillet fish tasted old and I swear it was left over from the previous day and re-cooked. Not at all tender when I bit into it , hard and dried out like it was left over!! Won’t go again

Having lived in China, this is some of the best Chinese food I’ve found since I’ve lived there. The menu is primarily designed around authentic cuisine and not Americanized Chinese food. They do have a few of the staples most people are looking for, but they are not fully evident on the menu. Almost everything on the menu has photos of what it looks like, as that is a fairly common practice throughout Asia. The chef here seems to have a love of all things lamb, so a lot of dishes here are served with lamb meat. They have the normal pork, beef, and chicken that you are used to seeing in Chinese food, but when you serve it as lamb, it’s delicious. My favorite lamb thing here is the steamed lamb buns. One of the tastiest things on the menu here, is the Chong Qing Diced Chicken. It’s insanely spicy, but worth the pain you’re going to feel after the fact. The fried rice is also done in the authentic style, where it is cooked in a wok, and not deep fried. I cannot really eat Americanized fried rice, due to how much oil is used, but here, since it’s authentic, is a staple of my meals. They also serve hot pot, which is huge in Asia. It’s a very social food, as you have to cook everything yourself. The offerings for the hot pot are extensive, and you’ll end up probably ordering more than you can finish. I’m not a huge fan of hot pot, normally, but the soup base they use here, is very tasty and I like it. All in all, it’s authentic food, not the stuff you’re used to eating from the $7 combo plate place. It’s more expensive, but worth the extra money. I’ve never had take away from here, but every time I’ve eaten in, the food is hot and delicious. People who don’t like it, just probably don’t like authentic Chinese food. My mother, for example, does not like authentic Chinese food, so for her, this place would be 1 star, due to the lack of the food she likes. But I think this place is catering to those who want to experience real food, without traveling half way around the world.

Edit: I just took a star away because I placed an online order which never came. Turns out they were closed today and didn't update their hours on GrubHub. Now I missed my lunch. First off, if you tried this place back when it was called Hibi Shabu Shabu... TRY IT AGAIN!!! Its under new ownership and it is much better now than before. Both the house and the spicy broth are delicious. I honestly can't decide which is better. The portion sizes of the meats and veggies are good for the price. The meat was very fresh, could definitely tell that it was good quality lamb in my pot. Great selection of ingredients too. If you like spice, this place actually delivers. I'm used to eating a lot of hot Thai and Indian food so I can take a lot of heat. The spicy broth actually made me start caughing on my first bite. Very satisfying for us heat lovers. Most refreshing was the friendly and attentive owner/staff. Our pot never got dried out, it was topped off multiple times. Waters were regularly refilled before empty. They even let us bring home all the un-eaten broth and food. My wife and I got two full meals out of our $32 spent here. Haven't had the chance to try the other non hot pot meals yet, but they looked and smelled amazing at the table next to us. We'll definitely be back here regularly. Oh, and it's a great place for low carb food if your trying to stick to a Ketoic or Atkins diet like me.

Went there to try this newly opened Chinese restaurant last Wednesday. I only ordered one dish, however, they billed me with a 18% tip included! and if I didn't notice the included tip, I would put additional tip on the top!! this double tipping trick is cheating your customer!! And again, after I post this experience on my social media, they went to me without apologize, but saying i am emotionally against them. I totally didn't get what this place want to do! will never go there again!
