Abbay's Cordova

For the first time, I visited Abbay's about a month ago and had the fried catfish. It was great, and I looked forward to returning again for more. Today, I went for the second time (at 4:00 p.m.) and got the fried catfish again, along with vegetables (Order 14405). I can give a 2 star rating ONLY because the vegetables were good. The fish, however, was probably cooked many hours earlier before my visit and a 2 and kept under a heat lamp for those several hours. IF there was supposed to be any fish beneath the layers of crust, someone forgot to add the fish. I am sorely disappointed in having made the 15 minute drive there, plus spending the money for the fish plate when it was of such poor quality. Based upon the first visit there, I have recommended Abbays. Now, however, I must retract my recommendation.

I just left and I’m not happy. Fried fish should be cooked to order, you can tell it had been cooked and microwaved , the mash potatoes weren’t mashed, nothing but clumps throughout the bowl, the macaroni had no taste. It was either watered down but it definitely had no taste.My peach cobbler top wasn’t on right and wasted some in the bottom of the bag. I haven’t been to this location in years and very disappointed.

The customer service and food is very dissimilar from what we have received in the past. My family and I used to go a lot but after yesterday we want be back. The cups with our sides in them weren't even half way filled. The pinto beans tasted more like chili than pinto beans and the mac and cheese was very runny more like soup. The drive thru worker asked if we wanted cornbread or rolls so we chose cornbread, she proceeds to tell us that they are out of corn bread. We asked how long would be before they had more and the manager yelled thirty minutes. We were completely unsatisfied!

HIT OR MISS. Usually the food is fine but today I'm just going to take this loss & just have a pb&j for dinner. Veggie plate was mostly juice as if I ordered vegetables soup. Steak & gravy was very undercooked, macaroni & chz was completely missing the cheese, & for some reason the peach cobbler was a strange tint of gray. I don't have time for food poisoning. Whole order went into the trash. Save your money, go somewhere else. I hope the manager or owner sees this review & responds.
