Waffle House

Hubby had the Country Feast w/country fried steak and home fries. The steak was thick, juicy and blanketed in sawmill gravy. His only regret was not adding mushrooms and onions. I had the Conductor Omelet w/ steak and cheddar. This dish just missed the mark for me because the spinach was not sauteed. The grits were flavorful, but they needed to cook a tad bit longer. All in all a good country breakfast!!

Very easy to find, ample parking, very loud when busy, understaffed when I was there, did not bring check to the table, had to go to the register to pay, unfriendly staff, most likely from the customer/wait staff ratio. Did not ask if we wanted dessert, had to ask for napkins/knife and fork, ordered the hamburger with everything, came with French fries and Cole slaw, very good 👍 all in all I do not believe that table service should suffer just because the restaurant was busy. Friendly staff is all part of the eating experience!

If you happen to be in the area, definitely make Steamer's a stop. Great service, good variety of menu options, good prices, large portions, good small-town/ home-cooked food, cute little town. We parked right in front of the restaurant, but the streets are a little wonky, so if you have a longer vehicle, you may want to park across the street. Loved our lunch experience and would recommend it.

Steamer's was absolutely the best breakfast my wife and I have had a long time! Not only were our meal cooked perfectly, the prices are far below what we've been paying. Cheap and good is hard to find. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly. I wish Steamer's was near our home in Raleigh. Please click "Like" if you found this review helpful.

Can't comment on the food as we didn't get the opportunity to try it. It was lunchtime. Place was really busy and we expected that, no problem as we were not in a rush. Wife and I went in with our small service dog. Sign said "Wait to be seated" so we waited. 3 employees looked at us several times but never came to greet us. The available seating was one booth for 4 and a table for 6, and maybe one booth for 2 or 4, could not see it very well. A rude lady that came in after us pushed past us, went to one of the employees and demanded to have the table and booth to seat 10. The employee gave her the seating, ignoring us. The place was very noisy as there is no sound control. Having enough, we walked out. Won't be back.

We needed a break from driving but not too long of a break. So we stopped for lunch here and i was so surprised. With the confederate statue out front i was nervous my husband might have issues or at the least some odd stares but it was fine! The staff was so friendly! And the food! I really want expecting much but pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality. Loved the shrimp and burger. Skip hush puppies though. No bueno.
