Panera Bread

This was my second time eating here, and i was kind of not expecting it to be very good. I was surprised though the food was actually really good, they recommended the soup and sandwich because i wanted to try both and i was not disappointed. The soup was delicious and a perfect serving along with the half sandwich. I ordered the broccoli and cheddar along with the chicken avocado sandwich and i couldn't put it down it was done in minutes. The bread was perfectly crunchy on the sandwich and the soup was nice and hot when i got it. The ladies working that day were very nice and explained the menu to me because i honestly had no clue about what i was going to order. The atmosphere is very quiet and dark and just overall nice to eat in. They have a cute little fireplace inside and a cool setup for ordering at machines.

So over priced! My other half ordered us salads for lunch, knowing how huge a typical restaurant salad is I asked for a half size one. At over 7$ I received a tiny side salad that was one handful of lettuce, a sprinkle of parmesean cheese and a few croutons with a tiny cup of dressing and an apple on the side. No meat, not a salad that takes more than 10 seconds to throw together. The ingredients were fresh. I know prices are rising but next time I'll just pay the same price and get a seafood Louie salad that's literally 3 times the size from Raleys.

It was my first time at Panera. The staff was helpful and efficient. I had the Fuji Apple chicken salad, and a charged Lemonade. The salad had dried apples instead of fresh, which disappointed me. Maybe that's how they're supposed to be served. I'm not sure, but I would have liked the apples fresh. The charged lemonade was sour. I'd still go back tho. Try something different.

Not Great.. On my last and only visit, the person who took my order seemed annoyed and not at all welcoming. I had the macaroni and cheese and the new chicken sandwich. They were out of lettuce so it was just the sauce.. some cheese crouton things and the very dry chicken. Additionally, we ordered 2 cups of Mac and cheese, 2 drinks and a croissant.. it came up to over $30. Seems very expensive and overall not great for the quality (tastes very processed and like it just came out of the microwave after being in a freezer for months) the only positive was the croissant which I loved, hence, two stars.

The absolute WORST service that I have ever had at a Panera bread. First the attitude of the person at the register was absolutely atrocious and somehow it we were imposing upon them by coming in almost 40 minutes before they closed and we’re ordering food. We were told that they were out of just about everything. But I think the actual reason was is that they were trying to clean up and leave by 9 o’clock not shut down the store by 9 o’clock. Then someone else told us that they didn’t want to make us feel rushed but that they were closing in 20 minutes so they packed our stuff in a bag because they wanted to leave again at 9 o’clock rather than stop serving food at 9 o’clock.
