If you love chocolate this is the place to stop by! The drinking chocolate is delicious šŸ˜‹ and creamy. They have handcrafted ice cream sandwiches and lots of yummy chocolate as well. Try the hazelnut chocolate bar, the smores chocolate, or pick up some of the fancy imported bars they have around the shop. Staff are super friendly.

The best cafe in this area with authentic atmosphere. Here you can find great choice of coffee/tea/chocolate drinks, incredible delicious pastries and of course they have any kind of chocolate. Service friendly and fast, always clean inside.

Amazing food and amazing service. We visited on a cold Friday in December. We got hot chocolate, cookies, pastries, and chocolates to take home. Everything was delicious and will hopefully visit again soon.

Great service, even better products. I pop in occasionally for a drink and will buy some chocolate for family. Recommendations are great and the bars are always a hit.

Wonderfully cute little shop and a wonderland if you love chocolate like me because this place is about chocolate and chocolate only! They have dozens of single origin artisanal chocolate bars to try, an entire drinking chocolate menu, handmade chocolate shells, at home drinking chocolate bags, coffee and some baked goods as well. We tried a classic dark hot chocolate and a Parisian hot chocolate. To my surprise the classic was darker and chocolatier where the Parisienne was more sweet and milky. I honestly love the classic for the deep bitter chocolate profile for it. The design and simplicity in the store is very calming, there is a very clean energy in there. I wish the staff were a tad more energetic and welcoming because I honestly felt like I was interrupting their conversation by ordering something. I wouldn’t travel for this hot chocolate but if I find myself in the area again I would get a cup.

They were out of oat milk so I went with just a plain iced americano. Simply delicious. Such great espresso! And I finally got my chocolate croissant! Honestly, one of the best croissants I've ever had in my life...and I've been to France.

This place was wonderful. Got my wife cappuccino and a veggie quiche. She raved about both. Can’t wait to come back. And did I mention they have some really good chocolate items. I got a dark chocolate bar. I missed the fudge brownie. Next time.

Always a delicious experience here especially if you are a chocoholic. You can come in to enjoy a hot drinking chocolate and dessert or a latte drink and pastry. There are gourmet chocolate bars, mini chocolates and huge peanut butter cups so you can nibble on a few with your hot chocolate or buy some for a gift. The staff here are very knowledgeable so if you're not sure which drinking chocolate or dessert to try they can give you their solid suggestions. My favorite dessert here is the German chocolate šŸ« and it's extremely filling and rich so skip lunch if that's your poison. After a cold 🄶 walk in the Gold coast it's relaxing to just enjoy a got chocolate and in the summer the frozen chocolate drinks are just as good and you can sit outside when the weather allows!

Great coffee, but the empanada is the real star! I think it’s the best thing I’ve had since I got to Chicago a few days ago.

We did paid street parking close-by. Not a five star review only because they don’t have enough seats. The tables close to the window were so close to each other, it was hard to have a conversation with my gf. I had the butterscotch Chai latte, it was so delicious. The pastry was also yum.

Best gourmand hot chocolate ever, melting, creamy and delicious! Although we are difficult to please and have been searching for years for a true cup of hot chocolate, this shop and their handcrafted hot chocolates were worth the search. Cannot be compared to any store-bought hot "chocolate" mixes or the terrible syrups from Starbucks, which are way too sweet and have nothing to do with genuine cocoas and tasty cups of high-quality hot chocolate. Plus, the owner and her staff are also very friendly. So, if you love chocolate and know your classics, we highly recommend this store!

Recommend: different hot chocolates are great, had many times- last few months though the consistency has varied from being richer taste to a bit more watered down, and any food item that got here so far has been great as well.

For any and all chocolate lovers, this store is a nested shrine to cocoa. In this area, I don’t think another place could compare. I went in to try a coffee and pastry, as I was curious about the chocolate selection but wasn’t in the mood to drink chocolate. Since the store’s a bit small, the layout and flow is a little awkward with distancing in place. Nevertheless, had a slightly higher priced latte than I was used to (typical of La Colombe imo) and a very very good, unique pastry! As much as the pastry was delicious, I didn’t have a great experience. The first employee, though I was the only customer, was quite unhelpful and felt disinterested in answering any of my questions. It was hard to read or discern the menu for all the food and drink options. Thank goodness a second employee appeared to help me and recommend something to eat. As a chocolate store, I am excited by all the drinkable chocolate items! However, if I’m to visit again, it would be for those items specifically. Did not feel like I was welcome to explore the options available, even though I was a lone customer in the store.

Incredible, beautiful pastries by Chef Meg Galus: cakes, cookies, danish, croissants!!! Full coffee menu with hot chocolate, and a vast selection of chocolate treats and bars, cocoa, and so much more. Great gift ideas for chocolate lovers.

A slightly different take on a coffee shop. They feature fresh made chocolate versus a bigger assortment of food and pastries. Also has those there is also a glass enclosed meeting room for guest s
