It is a very cool open space but the food needed slightly more seasoning. My wife and I were very impressed with the space and the service. Even though there was space the tables were kind of tight and the noise in the restaurant didn't shield us from the other conversations. I had the venison medallions, my wife had the wagyu sirloin and they were both cooked perfectly. The only drawback is that they seemed to lack salt to bring out all the flavor. The parmesan fries smelled fantastic but also had the same seasoning problem. Our dessert, Coconut Chocolate Crunch, was unreal. It had candied hazelnuts, caramel and coconut cardamom sorbet. It had so many flavors and you could taste all of them individually. I would consider going here again.

Love the staff and food! The roof top is very pretty and cozy almost. The tuna tartar is my favoriate, and they do really do happy hour specials. Haven't tried the burgers yet but heard really good things, so can't wait to try it next time!

Went today and used the groupon! Our server and bartender, patrick was awesome!!! Great service and great food..will be coming back for some more . The bread pudding is a must and the strawberry basil ice cream is to die for. The portobello burger and flat bread for lunch was delicious! :)

Went here for a wedding 2 years ago and it was a very nice venue for it. The food is good and the roof top was nice. They have a happy hour menu before 7pm which makes it worth it to go before hand. Not as trendy as it was a few years ago which is good and makes it easier to get a seat and not wait in any ridiculous lines.

Starting with the beginning I might say I was very impressed. The lovely lady walked me to my table and made sure everything is fine. The food is excellent although a little bit over priced, but judging the location it is understandable. The rooftop terrace is amazing with a cosy atmosphere and an amazing view

Even though this restaurant has been around for a few years, they are very consistent with their food and service. I was there with a large group of 16 for a reunion dinner. We were sitting at the table after dinner chatting. Instead of asking us to move on because they needed the table, they set us up in the VIP lounge for after dinner drinks. Very smart. Very classy.

Came to Epic for my birthday and couldn't have made a better choice. Accessible, but well-rounded wine list, eclectic and beautifully prepared and presented dishes (loved my duck 3 ways), and friendly, professional service. This is a great Friday night out spot for a dinner with friends or a special occasion.

I was at this place for a holiday party. It's got three storeys, with the bar on the first and second floors. Their seafood was very nice, fresh lobster, snow crabs and oyster just to name a few. Service seems to be a little lacking especially when the crowd gets big, but I guess that's what you expect out of most bars/restaurants in downtown Chicago.

Went to Epic in the Fall and returned in January with the same group. Had great meals each time and the service can't be beat. Jason, one of the managers, knows how to take care of his customers. Loved the ahi tuna appetizer and the bar apps (lobster fries, sliders) are incredible. The ahi tuna entree as well as the scallops were great. Must get the smore's for dessert.

NOT recommended for groups. We had several last minute cancellations - people from England were jet-lagged, several people were catching colds, etc. The restaurant held us responsible for the no-shows - said that they had incurred extra costs for dinner. I fail to see how much extra costs can be incurred with gnocchi, polenta, caesar salad, etc. Food was ok but nothing to write home about.
