Kirts

We were driving through Charlottesville and were craving ice cream. we found Kirts by chance..... best decision we’ve made all day!! The store was very nice and clean. Kirt was an extremely cool guy, very down to earth and kind. Just a guy that you want to buy ice cream from. The ice cream was so soft, yet also had qualities of thickness and creamyness. Just a mix of soft and creamy. I had chocolate and espresso (highly recommend) and my gf had sweat cream and strawberry. There’s also a very large selection to chose from. 5/5 would recommend. U will not regret it. Thanks kirt

Ice cream in its purest form (REAL homemade ice cream), made by one of the nicest families in town. I had a banana split, with three standard flavors (Vanilla, chocolate and strawberry). Strawberry is out of this world! This ice cream is one of, if not the best, tasting ice cream I've ever had. Thanks to the family at Kirts... it was a very enjoyable experience!

My favorite place to get ice cream! I never get fast food ice cream anymore. So many flavors and great price for what you get. Also great Ice cream cakes! My favorite flavors are marshmellow, pumpkin pie, sweet potato, and sweet cream with espresso. But they are all soooo good! So go here and get you some!

Unfortunately Kirt’s Homemade Ice Cream is CLOSED PERMANENTLY. We used to order their ice cream cakes, which were always really good. I was unaware of the closure and tried calling, a prickly old man picked up the phone and was very sour and angry about the closure of his store. It’s unfortunate to see a locally owned ice cream shop close.

The store is clean and pleasant. The employee behind the counter was friendly, quick, and competent. The selection of ice cream flavors was fairly varied, and the ice cream itself is rather delicious. I think it may have been kept at too high a temperature because it was somewhat melty, but it was definitely worth the money.
