We had a great night here! We ordered the cauliflower, oyster mushroom, pork with noodle, and two buns. They all went beyond my expectations with an interesting combination of ingredients. I gave it 4 out of 5 because the service was a bit slow - we were left there waiting for a long time to pay check, though understandably it was a busy night for them. Make sure to go before 7pm to get a table without wait!

Bang! Is a real find. They serve small Asian fusion plates. My wife snd I had 6 or so and all were wonderful. Lindsy, our bartender is just awesome in every way. We can't wait to return.

This place was really cute. They had enough vegan options to have a full course meal and even gave us the option to have a vegan dessert with their dairy and egg free “sorbet”. Very nice option for our anniversary date night, loved the small plates and it had a good atmosphere and strong drinks! Would return.

Excellent food & tapas. Cauliflower in garlic sauce was super. Shrimp in yum yum sauce was awesome. Great Asian fusion food. Sitting outside in pleasant weather was a plus. Ambiance & service was great.

Had a great time. Food was done really well. I think they could get a Michelin star for the kale tortellini for sure. Yall really brown sugared the brown butter for that? Close your eyes when you try that please. Obviously great cocktails. Charlottesville has a gem

Such a wonderful restaurant experience! So many delicious vegetarian dishes and great alcoholic beverages!! We have been to Bang several times over the last few years and the service has always been top notch! Bang has a full bar as well as a special drinks menu. This place is often busy on Friday and Saturday nights which might require waiting a short while for a table but they have expanded their outdoor seating which has made getting a table easier.

Based on many recommendations we went to Bang! for a sister date. When I go to a restaurant where I have a distinctly different experience than the one perpetuated by friends and google reviews, it is particularly disappointing. Bang! seems like a place that rose in popularity 12 years ago, when the idea of tapas fusion restaurants was a hit concept. I mean, the exclamation point in the name? Throwback to 2006. And I feel the same way about the menu. A lot of the dishes sound interesting on paper, but once you’re looking at those rhinestone jeans, you are reminded that they were always uncomfortable and you never liked the way they tasted anyways. Service was a C-, ordered a cocktail that was left untouched after the first sip, our server comped the drink, the most interesting dish was the mango carrot salad. The menu is vegetarian/vegan friendly which is why we wanted to try it. Gnocchi with thai sauce was under spiced. General Tso cauliflower was good but basic, I get a similar dish from my local Chinese joint. The firecracker shrimp was $16 (I’m a vegetarian but that felt like a lot for any single tapas dish). Sister liked the pork belly roll. Bill was $77 before the drink was removed. All in all, if 2006 is a time and place you want to travel back to, Bang! is an okay spot for a date night, otherwise move on the next option. Check out @marleyrecs for local Charlottesville recommendations she only shares positive reviews.
