Been here literally 100's of times for the past 5+ years. It's a Monday tradition. Excellent Thai food made from scratch while you wait. Far too cheap for the quality and effort that's put in.

First time ate here won't be the last. I had Thai spring rolls for starter followed by a delicious red Thai curry with rice. The curry cost £6 with rice, I've paid treble this in posh restaurants for a inferior dish, it really was lover and nicely presented. Don't be put off by this little gem being in a market it's definitely restaurant quality food at less than takeaway prices.

There are times you can wait yes, but where else do you get a fresh made flavoursome and nourishing meal for five pound? If you want instant tat go to the golden arch place around the corner and pay more for less.

If you have a day off and want to try a very good Thai food the Coconut Tree is the place to go. In the market place in the centre of town you can find this charming little stand with excellent food. Waiting time around 30/40 minutes so go over when you have time, food is excellent even better than a proper restaurant and we only spent £25 for four people with drinks included. Green Thai curry creamy and delicious, spicy just on point. I recommend this place 100%, will be back to have another bite here for sure!

We were really impressed, in market hall this looks like the kind of place you would walk past but we did not want the traditional bacon, egg sandwiches so we tried The Coconut tree
Simply food but really well done, even the chicken in fried rice was amazing and some of the best spring rolls I have had for a long time
Free water but that's about it for drinks but if you don't want just another sandwich then give this place a go

Just had some really nice food here when visiting with my family. Curries are less spicy then some Thai restaurants, but you can ask for them to be more spicy when you order.
