Clear Creek Cantina

Taste was a little more American Southwest than Mexican, but the food was OK. Portions were large, and the service was great. They were a little slow as I was in between regular meal times, and the chef came over to chat. Really friendly staff. Very casual. I really liked that they had a classic car auction on the TV rather than the ubiquitous "sports" which are made so people don't have to be social. I was by myself, so I joined some regulars in appreciating a few classic muscle cars. It was fun.

We stopped in for the daily special, which was a bacon cheeseburger on a pretzel bun, french fries, and a fountain drink. It wasn't too busy, and we were able to get a window seat overlooking Clear Creek. Chase came right over and took our order. The food was served promptly, and it was good. The portion sizes were large, and we needed take -out boxes for the leftovers. I would eat here again.

The food was very good, the margaritas were yummy!! The spinach and avocado with grilled chicken enchiladas were amazing. (I can't remember the name of the entree) yummy chips and salsa! The owner Mark was amazing. I left my FAVORITE sweater there and got all the way back to Amarillo Texas before we were able to reach someone at the restaurant- Mark is mailing me my sweater! Please don't only go for the food and drink but also go to support good people with small businesses! Everyone in Buffalo Wyoming was so kind and friendly.

Not impressed at all. Environment was nice, however, staff was not impressive. Waitress was very condescending. Food was not good. Got wings, felt they were like anytizers. A friend got chimichonga, meat very dry. Got chili with it instead of beans, tasted canned, then some pasta salad that tasted like vinegar. Only thing good was the salsa. Don't recommend at all.
