I really do love coming to this family run deli. An older Polish 1st generation immigrant friend of mine brought me here a few years ago for a surprise lunch. He had an idea that I'd appreciate eating a REAL meal prepared with REAL ingredients by REAL "old world" style Russian, or Ukranian woman. Please forgive me if I have their nationality wrong! I had an amazing simple lunch of what I will call (Guwumpki) which I know is not how it's spelled, but from what I can tell it is how it's pronounced. I've heard dozens of people attest to different ways of saying "golubtsi". Most people just call it stuffed cabbage or cabbage rolls. Anyway you want to say it, these people make them taste soooo good! This place sells so many different European snacks, spices, drinks, pierogies, breads, frozen foods, and so much more. I just appreciate getting some exposure to foods that we won't see in our grocery stores. It's a cool experience. Small in size but I can get stuck in there for a half an hour just trying to guess what the labels translate into lol. P S.- I'm gonna tell you right now, whatever you choose to buy to bring home and heat up to eat, buy 3!! Because not only are you going to want to have another one because it was so good, you're gonna want to share one with someone else to share the delicious experience. Honestly. Make the trip. It's worth it! And!!! Their prices are anywhere from cheap to very reasonable.

I love buying the frozen pelmeni and borscht here. I have traveled throughout Eastern Europe and Russia, and its a nice place in Buffalo to find a few reminders of those trips. It's always tasty!
