I’m obsessed with this place. I often come to pick up something for lunch. Everything I have eaten from here has been delicious, and very reasonably priced. The lentil soup is blowing my mind. Can’t wait to try more sandwiches.

Out walking on a rainy Friday night while in town for a wedding and happened upon this lovely little restaurant for a bite to eat. Natasha recommended a fabulous wine after allowing me a taste (a vermentino - new to me) and then suggested the ricotta and tomato salad to start. Fantastic! Then I ordered the Hudson Valley Steelhead Trout. Delicious. All the while, Natasha made me feel like a regular and a friend. I highly recommend a visit. Say hello to Natasha for me!

This place is amazing. Not just for pastries and breads / lunch , but a secret spot for dinner with the best food. The fried chicken is better then Buttermilk Chanel , pastas , fish , appetizers are all just splendid. Natasha who works there is the best !!

Finally stopped by this bakery, their blueberry buckwheat sourdough was soooo good. The exact crust and mild sweetness I was looking for.

Runner and Stone was our go-to brunch spot pre-pandemic, and then we moved away. We returned last night for dinner and cannot recommend this place enough! The staff are incredibly warm and helpful, and the food was outstanding. We had the hummus, vegan caesar, and crab-stuffed jalapeño apps. Then we shared a pasta, the steak, and fried chicken. All were so delicious. They have great beer and wine options and are experimenting with some delicious cocktails. You should really head here for dinner, not just brunch.

Incredible good blueberry and barley (buckwheat? I can't remember) bread last week. Firm crust but inside was slightly chewy and blue berries were wonderful.

Absolute best sandwiches in this hidden gem! The duck Reuben was insanely good and the onion rings were perfectly cooked.

Wow the food and service are incredible. The bread is artisanal. Such a gem in Brooklyn. Highly highly recommend. Incredible wine list too! And they have a garden where they grow their own vegetables and flowers!

Sometimes it’s nice to find a beautiful eating/cafe experience in an industrial- chic- artisan - and down to earth - location such as Gowanus in Brooklyn … and Runner and Stone is such an experience. The food and ambience is pure art and simply DELICIOUS. My friend and I meandered over on a sunny late morning and stepped into a gourmet heaven. There’s a sandwich menu on the wall with lovely choices, a bar with pastries and various food items. There’s bread, coffee, coolers with salads and drinks … wine for sale … tables here and there. (Yes it is humane and there is a restroom). We were there for a quick lunch and chat and it was lovely seeing a steady stream of people getting items to go and shopping for gourmet grocery items. It seems like it has dinner too and would definitely like to try that real soon! Thank you Runner and Stone.

Had a fantastic impromptu dinner for 6 on a rainy Friday night. All the staff were super friendly. Loved every dish we had! Chicken liver pate was bomb. We loved all three pastas- special spicy shrimp spaghetti and Mac and cheese with smoked trout, and the orecchiette from regular menu. Broccoli chickpea fritters we’re very nice. Winners all around! Need to come back for their house made potato chips.
