This place is an absolute GEM. Incredible service today, the food is low key spectacular ( the chicken and arugula sandwich and the Caesar were both off the charts) and the view of Manhattan is amazing. We had such a lovely lunch here. Will be back many times.

Very good food and service. Would have given five stars if not one of our party member receiving her order way late (the others were almost finished eating)! I believe this is a one shot non-recurring issue. Would definitely come back.

Great indoor/outdoor cafe (outdoor with patio umbrellas available or indoor cafe and bar seating). We’ve been a few times and the food gets better each time. I recommend the pancakes and the breakfast burrito. Ask for hot sauce on the side with the burrito because it otherwise doesnt have a ton of flavor on its own. Drink prices very reasonable here you can get a Guinness for $7 for example. They have good cocktails too. The food can come out a little slower than compared with other spots I have noticed but if you go in expecting to just sit and have a chill meal and you’re not in a rush then its a great choice to eat at.

Great place for family. The reason this place is great isn’t just the food, but the staff is very sweet, friendly and welcoming. The cafe is cozy. Not expensive.

Iris Cafe has fantastic food, excellent service, and a prime location by Pier 6. While it doesn't look too special on the outside, it's a cozy cafe by day, bar at night on one side and a bodega market on the other. They somehow manage to do it all well. I stopped by for a weekday brunch in advance of catching the ferry to Governors Island. With really generous hours, it almost guaranteed that they will be open when you want them. At 10am, my table was one of three, but the hostess was warm and prompt. We did have to catch a ferry within the hour and I was reassured that my order would be quick. The pancakes are adorable and tasty. The BLT was fantastic (I asked for baguette instead of sourdough and they happily made the switch). The fries were perfect, and the hot chocolate and latte hit the spot. Highly recommend Iris if you're by Brooklyn Bridge Park's south side. While I didn't shop the market, I would plug that with limited options at Gov Island, this is an ideal place near the ferry to pack a picnic to bring with you!

Great place for outdoor breakfast with quick coffee, service and WiFi. The quality of food is average with Manhattan prices, but the view is worth it

I came here for their pancake, and it turned out fabulous!✨🥞 I was able to talk to the owner and she told me this is a Japanese style. Texture was the big point. It smelled really good, and it was crispy at the edge, soft and chewy inside. It came with syrup, fruits, and butter. Simple but tasty. Compared, chocolate lava cake was not that special. But still, if that’s what u like, nothing wrong to get it. I did see some reviews talking about bad services, and I hope those staff could be trained more. I’m lucky cause people treated me well that night.
