Here is the deal with the KFC in Brookings SD. It's the best I have eaten at.
The reason why is because Brookings is home to South Dakota State University and the competition for 12,000 farm kids appetite is fierce. You won't make it in Brookings if your fast food isn't fresh and good.
I eat here quite frequently when I am in Brookings and have never been disappointed.
Also, Brookings is a great town. It has more positive energy from those students than any place I have been. I have a home there but I don't get to stay there often because most of my business is in the Black Hills on the western side of SD. And I always look forward to when I get to go there and experience the positive vibes!

Sure and plositive change from a year ago. Went today 11/22/2021, 5pm. best, freshest tastiest i've had since living here. The service from the order taker was lovely, kept me smiling the whole time. Great service from the person giving me my order. Also love the people cooking today!

Got everything I ordered which seems to be hard for some other joints to do. Everything seemed fresh for it being 2:30 in the afternoon. Only complaint..the fresh hot fries were put in a bag on top of the coleslaw.
