We went there last weekend for two takeaway coffees.... after 25 minutes the lady who served me came out and I asked how much longer the coffees would be and she said they were coming out now. Realising I and many others had been standing there a while the owner then came out and asked if I had places to be???? When I said yes I need to go, instead of offering me a refund she just said ok well it should only be another 5-7 minutes.<br/>Fifteen minutes later we received the coffees (which tasted bitter and burnt) . When I suggested to the owner to consider informing people of any lengthy waits when ordering she got defensive and asked me how the wait was her problem........

Overcooked, presentation was poor, the toppings weren’t even half of what they were the first time and they missed toppings. Description did not match what we got the second time. First visit in Sunday. Staff were friendly but lacked attention to detail. A friends toasted sandwich (ham and relish not ham cheese and tomato as ordered) was slapped down without even being cut in half. I had the chicken wrap that was tasty but again just chucked onto a too small plate and plonked in front of me. A small garnish and a bit of presentation would go a long way.

Decided to check out this busy little cafe with some friends for a Sunday brunch after driving past it a couple of times! Sooo busy (and loud) when we came in, but luckily found a table pretty quickly. I ordered their Breakfast Bagel which was really good! Generous amount of avocado and bacon which was nice. My friends ordered the Pancake, the Potato Fritters and the Eggs Benny - all of which I’m told we’re really good as well!<br/><br/>Overall was a really nice place to catch up with friends despite it being pretty noisy - but I actually think it adds to the charm of this little neighbourhood cafe :)

Their homemade vanilla brownie cheese cake is sensational. It was just perfect. Haven’t had good cheesecake like this for years! Would go and have a slice every time when I visit Brisbane. Too good to miss it. Very friendly staff and great service.

The coffee here is absolutely terrible! They use a great brand - Campos - but somehow, the way they make it, it is the most bitter, awful sour coffee. The staff are okay - they're mostly unhelpful and don't really care that much. Friendly, but the care factor/training is not there. I personally won't be going back again.

Very popular on Sat morning, nice open plan, some seats next to busy Kitchener Rd, some flies outside. The flies were annoying though...

My family and I came here for a mid-week breakfast and had a great time. The menu has a good selection and prices are very reasonable. The best part is that many items are available as half serves, for a good price, meaning you can taste multiple menu items if you can’t decide, or just love food as I do!<br/><br/>We had booked to ensure we had a big enough table plus two highchairs and the team were very accommodating. It was busy, but not so busy that walk-ins couldn’t get a table, but this was mid-week. I chose a half serve of the sweet potato and zucchini fritters with avocado, labneh and tomato salsa; and a half serve of the mushrooms on toast – garlic and thyme mushrooms on goats cheese, sourdough and pepitas. I felt the fritter lacked a bit of seasoning so I enjoyed it, but not as much as I’d hoped. The labneh was delicious though, a really good addition to the meal. The mushrooms were the standout – I really loved the flavours and everything worked really well together. Presentation was lovely, colours and ingredients were bright and fresh.<br/><br/>All our meals were served quickly and all at the same time. Everyone on our table enjoyed what they ordered and were pleasantly surprised at the prices. It’s a nice venue with room for little people to race around (and ours certainly did that!) with pleasant staff – a real little neighbourhood gem. We will definitely be back as I enjoyed it so much, and forgot to the use the Entertainment Card which is another added bonus of this spot.

Had brekkie at this cafe on last Monday. When I arrived, I was surprised to see they had a large venue which is extending at the moment. That gave me the confidence for the trip. Love that they offer half serve of meal so ordered the half serve of mushroom with sourdough with additional side of smoked salmon. Coffee came to the table first and the barista fully demonstrated my favourite brand of coffee with nice and firm latte art and right strength. Next came the brekkie, which surprised me again with fine-dining grade of plating. Additional garnish of seeds enhanced the crunchy element effect. Taste was also well balanced. Taking in consideration of its vibe, service and production, I could not find any fault at all. It means that it deserves the full mark.

Love that they open so early in the mornings. Service is at the counter (and you pay before your meal which I don't have an issue with). Pretty average menu (nothing too out of the ordinary but still good) but good was great (had the mushrooms), hubby was pleased with the homemade hollandaise sauce, coffee ok, and good friendly service :)

Pretty disappointed looked great when reviewimg on here and Instagram/Facebook. Ordered and paid for a chai latte in a mug when it came out it was in a glass I queried the girl she said it was the largest they had yet the people next to us had a large mug and I seen them on top of the coffee machine.... Hollandaise sauce was average tasted like vinegar the lemon wedge was defiantly not needed. Ordered a side of hashcakes thinking they sounds like a nice home-made style has brown - nope just your typical triangle frozen hashbrown x2 for $4.50 well over priced! Was meant to go back next weekend to meet another group of friends but unfortunatly I think we will go elsewhere.

Came for Sunday brekky. We had the sweet potato fritters and eggs benny. Benny was fine - nothing stand out but nothing bad either. Fritters were a little raw/crunchy. Did enjoy the salsa, labne & arvo with them. Milkshake was overly sweet - too much syrup perhaps?!?<br/>Drinks came out quickly but the meals were delivered a fair time apart which was frustrating. Service was polite but nothing to rave about.

Close to where we live but aside from that pretty terrible. Customer service really poor, certainly not friendly. Don't really like campos coffe, but these were particularly bad. Dry sourdough with poached eggs, with a sprinkle of greens, needed to ask for butter. Really plain. Kids meals expensive. Will not be going back again. Nothing notable about what we ordered, some of the other meals going out looked more interesting, but not a particularly welcoming cafe, so will go elsewhere.

I really wanted to like this place as I love a small local cafe. There is limited indoor dining spaces so if you don't like the cold, I recommend you visit it when it is warm and sunny. My partner and I came when it was raining and cold but I did not mind it. <br/><br/>Usually when I try a new place, I tend to order classics such as a big breakfast or eggs benny to compare to other cafes, but today I thought I would try the lunch special and ordered the rump steak, medium rare. It came with grilled witlof, potato bake and some dijon mustard. I was not impressed. The steak was unseasoned and it was so so tough. I could barely cut through it with my knife and my hands became tired soon after starting my meal. I usually am one to clean my plate but I couldn't even manage to finish half my steak. I will probably come back to try another dish in the future but will avoid the steak at all costs. However, we enjoyed the caramel milkshake.

Coffee also great- I search long and hard to find good coffee and this is up there. Uses Campos coffee. Would definitely go back

My experience at Fuzzy Duck was completely marred by the treatment me and my friends got from one of the waitresses. Glasses, dark hair (and I think piercings?). She was rude, surly, and completely unsuited to the job. I doubt she had much, if any training. She greeted us without a smile or a shred of warmth and rudely barged past us while we were looking at the cake cabinet. She asked for our order while eating, with her mouth full of food. Just charming, right?<br/><br/>She was impatient, and reacted to a simple question we asked in a sharp, short way like we'd asked her something really difficult and troublesome. My friend suggested that it was because it was close to closing time and she was stressed out. But, really, that's no excuse. There was almost an hour until closing time, and I've seen busier cafes with much more competent staff.<br/><br/>She shoved our food onto our table without a word, and the same friend said to me, amused, "service with a smile..." miming the way she'd thrown our food at us. She treated some of the other customers with the same brusque, almost angry disposition, while showing almost inappropriate familiarity to two customers there with a baby, sitting at their table while taking their order. I have no idea if she knew them or not.<br/><br/>If Donald Trump is temperamentally unsuited to be president, then some people are just temperamentally unsuited to be waitstaff. I almost feel sorry for her, because she clearly does not want to be working in a cafe, in fact probably hates it, and it's written all over her face and body language. It's a shame, because two of the other staff seemed quite friendly. The food and coffee was decent. But decent is not enough to put up with being treated, bluntly, like crap. I remember seeing cheerful messages written on the chalkboards hanging on the walls and thinking how absurdly they contrasted with her dismal attitude.

Saturday morning breaky and boy was it busy ! Seeing as it was so busy we were excited to try the food. I ordered the scrambled eggs because nothing else on the menu was taking my fancy. The menu items were all very basic and had no shazzam or magic I felt. The coffee was cold and burnt, so not to impressed. Overall it was average and I didn't think it lived up to the hype we were expecting.

Everything seemed a bit hard for the lady serving us behind the counter- despite this they accommodated no icecream in my banana flour hot cake and replaced it with some Greek yogurt. The outcome was good - giant fluffy hot cake with cinnamon, toasted coconut, strawbs and grilled lime. Passionfruit purée was a bit disappointing as it was obviously pre made and frozen and a blob of icymess sat atop the hot cake. Good skills in the kitchen that are being let down by front of house.

Went for our usual Sunday brunch.<br/>It's a nice, quaint little place. Definitely not the best place to eat at during winter due to the limited indoor seating.<br/>We ordered two big breakfasts, a mocha, and a chai latte. <br/>The "coffees" were good - thankfully my chai wasn't too sweet, and tasted pretty creamy. Hubby was happy with his mocha too. My only problem is we waited for such a long time for our food to arrive, and to be honest, the restaurant wasn't that busy. Tried to sip our coffees slow, but ended up having to finish them as they were getting cold.<br/>When the food finally arrived, I was not entirely impressed. I had asked for a well cooked egg (as I am currently pregnant), instead I got an egg that was pretty much burnt to a crisp - the worst kind of egg in my opinion (see picture for details). The rest of the meal was nothing to rave about, pretty mediocre. Nothing stood out, really. Just you're average tasting brekkie.<br/>Service itself was good and friendly, but not really as 'homey' or inviting as all the other cafes we've been to thus far.<br/>Don't think I'll be back again.

Continuing our quest for the best breakfast in Brisbane we called in to the Fuzzy Duck Cafe and were greeted by a couple of cute ducks who were in for a Saturday morning visit.<br/><br/>We ordered the Big Fuzzy Breakfast with avo added and the Sweet Potato and Zucchini Fritters with poached eggs added. Had a really good experience today at this cool cafe. Great menu and lots of seating options with most under good cover, even with quite steady rainfall. Our coffees were excellent and the iced coffee is delicious with high quality icecream that makes such a difference. The menu is quite good with lots of hralthy and not so hralthy options depending on your preferences. I had the try the banana flour pancake as I had read other reviews that said it was a must. I totally agree! Amazing! The avocado smash with sundried tomato feta was excellent and tasty, as was the eggs Benedict. I highly recommend a visit.

Well I reviewed the fuzzy duck back in 2016. I’m sure this place has had its ups and downs. <br/>I recently have returned to the the cafe after a recommendation from another foodie. <br/>It seems this place has found its feet and started running at full speed. It has grown from strength to strength. <br/>I was very hard on the lack of service and the over 1 hour wait for food. This has been worked on, and is now remarkably improved. <br/>I originally think the new owners didn’t know what they had got themselves into. I must say now, kudos to them, as they grabbed this place by the ears and have rectified the cafe into a lovely dining experience. <br/>I’m taking my hat off to the team now for what they have managed to create. I will be back.

A very quaint little cafe with a very modest and simple layout. A group of 4 of us rocked up for a Friday morning brunch. The food was was simple but done perfectly. Cooked well and seasoned well. I'm not one to write reviews but i am so disappointed the fuzzy duck is not living up to it's potential. I recently moved to the area and noticed the lovely looking cafe in the perfect location for myself to become quite the regular, as i'd imagine for a lot of other people who use Kitchener Road. So I decided to treat myself, my girlfriend & a mate to a lunch.. Within seconds of reading the menu i witnessed "price" catapulting "convenience" off the feasibility scale. Nevertheless after a few quick funds transfers we ordered. The food & service was OK.. After i slept off the shock i awoke a much wiser man & now strategically alone i decided to try my luck at trying the commute coffee.. I pull up @ 6:00am to notice the cafe is closed. A passing dog walker had a laugh at my misfortune (as i am assuming they see this regularly) and informed me the fuzzy duck does not open till 6:30!! By 6:30am the sun has been up for 1hr, not to mention hundreds of cars has passed. AANNYWAY the next day i time my commute to pass the fuzzy duck cafe (alone of course) & at 6:30am this time.. Sure enough they are open, 1 person is in que before me ordering a coffee.. I order mine straight after. The young girl taking my order is doing an awful job at masking her resent towards the day but she manages to accurately take my order without as much as a smile or any charisma whatsoever.... 5+mins pass and oldmate gets called up for his coffee so i approach with him assuming my coffee will be in quick succession.... NOPE!! another 5+mins for mine & i was late to work!! Turns out it was actually a really good coffee but unfortunately the fuzzy duck cafe does not have the time for me & my busy schedule so i guess i will be a weekend visitor only <br/>

Don't be fooled by the adorable name, as the cafe formally known as Little Paw Paw has not lost flavour or momentum since changing owners. I was so relieved to find the coffee hadn't altered in quality, and the food was still vibrant and fantastically fresh with a good variety to suit every kind of fussy eater. They're one of our 'locals', but the kind you would happily drive across town to visit!

Fuzzy Duck cafe , formerly Little Paw Paw, is now quacking its way through Kedron. Small but sweet, with outdoor dining at the front, Fuzzy Duck offers the usual cafe fare. (I would love local cafes to offer more than breakfast dishes, and wish they were a teensy bit more imaginative). Lately you could be excused for not knowing which cafe you were in, as the menus all seem pretty much the same, and hipster disdain is becoming more of a "thing" among wait staff. (Dare I tell you folks, that our niece works at a food supply company and tells us that they provide a lot of meals to a lot of cafes?!). But I think you knew that already. We turned up one Wednesday recently just before noon to have a quick lunch. Mr P. went to place our order and unfortunately mentioned that I was a food blogger. Oh dear, this led to hipster rejection, I fear. They promised to bring out a business card for me, but it didn't turn up. They served another table before us, and slapped down our food with nary a smile, nor a kind word (sob). my coffee was a decent brew. Mr P. said his thickshake was good and very cold, which is an important quality in a milky drink (thus spake Mr P.) I chose Fuzzy Duck Benny with smoked salmon, while Mr P. had corn fritters with a side of fries. My eggs Benny were as expected, and tasted fine apart from the bread. It was dried-out and stale, and had only seen the side of the grill for a nano second. The hollandaise on the other hand had a delicious taste and texture; I am tempted to say it may not have come from the factory. Mr P. found the fritters tasty with a good amount of corn. I asked him if they were really fritters or just corny pancakes but he assured me that there was a fair amount of corn.

Good food, great coffee, phenomenal service!. I'd been here many times when it was The Little Paw Paw but I was hesitant to visit when I heard it had changed hands. But boy am I glad I did! The service was MANY MANY times better than I had ever had under the old management, and the standard of food and drink were still just as good. A definite improvement on an already good cafe in my opinion. Will definitely be coming back. Also, love that it's open that little bit later (3pm), even on a Sunday! Keep up the good work guys.

Two weeks ago we visited this Fuzzy Duck place. <br/>We wanted to have lunch there and ordered coffees. <br/>On asking for water, we were told that we had to buy bottled water and that no tap water would be served. <br/>Apart from probably being illegal not to serve tap water, we were disgusted at this money-raking scheme.<br/>They told us it was because of corona virus.<br/>I have never heard so much garbage in all my life.<br/>Every other cafe, coffee shop, restaurant in Brisbane provides tap water straight-up without asking.<br/>The poor waitress could only say "It is the owner's decision".<br/>We packed up and left - didn't order lunch and won't be going back.<br/>Don't go there - these scammers are ripping people off and using the virus as an excuse. <br/>Truly disgraceful.<br/>
