Molly says...it is somehow refreshing to find a place to eat that gets the basics right. Jonno has been working around the Portslade area and I managed to join him for lunch. The food was hot, well cooked and tasty, no surprises, no frills. However, this Wimpy (and this is only my second experience of this type of establishment) scores for customer service. It is small but spotlessly clean. Our waitress was a revelation, polite, helpful and with the ability to make the customer feel valued. It is a great pity that in this country, we still don’t seem to recognise the impact that good service has on a meal, whatever the establishment.
Jonno says...Molly in a Wimpy is a rare event and she was fascinated by a first glimpse of a ‘bendy sausage’. We needed a quick lunch and this delivered.

I wanted a trip back down memory lane and found a clean, modern restaurant, which sadly didn't do the egg burger that I used to love. Having mentioned it to the guy who served me, he said they don't do it anymore, but would be happy to add an egg for me! Really tasty burger and crispy chips and a well made coffee. Really good value for £12. Friendly, but non - obtrusive. I've rediscovered the joy of wimpy!

The service was lovely, with a never ending smile, the manager behind the counter could have learnt something about customer service from his staff in fact, but nothing was going to ruin this first visit to a Wimpy in 25 years, loved it, lots of booths to sit in which:is good, but the food! So much better than it was back in the day, I honestly think it was the best fast food chain burger I've ever had, very tasty and fresh, lots of salad in it and looked even better than the photo. The fries are amazing and the chilli sauce is actually spicy. About the sauces, they are served in bottles and little sauce bowls and not in those awful nasty little plastic sachets, that are so wasteful and ecologically unsound, nice one Wimpy. I will be coming here to the Portslade one again for sure but will be trying others too when the mood for a burger takes me. Next thing I wanna try is the spicy chicken wings. ❤️💙💚💛

My sister treated me to a trip down memory lane of my favourite burger of the 80's, the quarter pounder with cheese and it didn't disappoint. It was absolutely delicious and was so pleased to see it tasted just as good now. Really lovely staff and great value for money. Wimpy, we welcome you back 👍
