Had a really lovely evening in The Flint House. The food is top notch and the service is friendly and professional. Everything we ate was delicious. The chef’s menu is a well balanced set of dishes that left us feeling full, but not stuffed and very happy. It’s complemented perfectly by the wine pairing.

We stumbled upon the Flint House and we did not have reservations. They set us up at the counter which provides a full view of the kitchen. We decided on the tasting menu with wine pairing as it's a small plate menu. The menu was outstanding. Each dish presented a new set of wonderful flavours. My favorite was the lamb over smashed minty peas. We tried to take pictures of each course before starting but got ahead of ourselves on a few of them. We travel a lot and always seek interesting places for dinner. This was one the top places we have found.

The food was amazing - we had the tasting menu and wine pairings and you cannot fault the quality, variety and value. We went late in the evening and did feel slightly rushed at times, but on the whole was a brilliant meal and would go again.

We've just been to The Flint House for my birthday lunch, and what a wonderful lunch it was. I'm wheat intolerant and often wary about eating out, especially in nicer restaurants. The waiter made adjustments to the chefs menu so we could still choose that and I didn't feel like I was missing out. My husband's favourite plate was the BBQ mackerel and mine was the slow cooked lamb shoulder. All of the plates were delicious though. Thank you to the waiters for making my birthday even more special.

Dinner in a modern bar and restaurant situated within the maze of the Brighton Lanes. Upstairs is the bar where you can have a pre-dinner drink. Downstairs is what we have come for Obvs. There's a counter-level bar that gives you a front-row view as plates upon small plates of dishes are prepped, made, and walked from the kitchen to the table. Their menu has quite a varied choice, from snacks and small plates to a five-course Chef’s menu. For 2 to share 50pp / 70pp with wine pairing. We couldn't decide what to have, so we went for the Chefs menu. Just to be awkward,we asked to change one of the dishes to a preferred alternative. After the server had a little discussion with the chef, he nodded. We didn't have the wine pairing as we both have different tastes. Instead of having a glass or a bottle, you can have a 375ml carafe. One white, one red, please. This also saves on having to catch the eye of your server to order another glass. This is a great way of dining out as you get to try different dishes off the menu that you probably wouldn't have ordered or would have missed. Speaking of which, the very first dish was a very pretty looking Sweet Potato Crisp, Courgette, Sage, Pomegranate followed by Bream Ceviche, Orange, Coriander, Jalapeño. Then comes a couple of tasty snacks,Sweetcorn Fritters & Ham and Gruyere croquettes. Next up is the dish we swapped to Roasted Cod,Thai Green Curry Sauce,Vermicelli Noodle, Thai Basil. That comes with a Radicchio, Anchovy, and Parmesan Salad accompaniment. The main dish was Slow Roast Lamb Shoulder, crushed peas, feta, mint,Satay Squash, picked chilli, Peanuts, Coriander with the most outrageous Confit Potato, Black Pepper Aioli. Dessert of Chocolate Parfait, Vanilla Poached Pear, Praline Crème Diplomat. Dark Chocolate and Brown Butter Fudge, Cocoa Nib. Service was very friendly, and the food was spot on. All dishes were served at pace from an open kitchen. Time flew by as we were mesmerised watching all the busy chefs prepare the dishes.

All around great restaurant in the Lanes in Brighton. Large menu with a variety of delicious dishes. I had the radicchio salad, bream ceviche, and pork schnitzel -- all were very well made, delicious, and I would order again. Definitely a strong recommendation for this place. You'll enjoy!

We visited the Flint house for a work dinner, very nice setting, the lighting, music, very cozy. We had the Chef’s Menu, which is a 5 course meal. Some of us had the wine pairing too. Everything was absolutely delicious, there was not a single dish that we didn’t love. I would highly recommend this menu, and specially with the wine pairing. It was such a great experience and we will remember it for a long time. The only thing to mention is that the booking was for a 2h30min slot, which was totally fine for us, however, as we had the 5 course menu this was very tight. We had to be moved 10 mins before our slot was over as another table was coming in and we still had to have desserts. That being said, we were moved to another table downstairs that was not booked, therefore we could stay as long as we wanted. I think a 3 hours slot for a 5 course meal would have been the ideal time. Some people in my party were a little bothered by this interruption, which is why I thought I’d mention this. Other than that, we had an excellent time and will definitely be coming back in the future!
