Wow, excellent sandwiches. Good selection of beverage (Stewart's). Bread has that excellent crust and chew. Great toppings and awesome pickles! Tuna was tasty and fresh.

FAIL!!!! GARBAGE PRODUCTS & POOR QUALITY!!! I wouldn't even feed this to my dog!!! I asked the person behind the counter if they had breaded chicken cutlet. They said yes. So I ordered a full chicken cutlet bacon ranch hero (similar to their special @ $10). I also purchased a small bag of chips and the total came to $23! I have no problem paying a bit extra for quality food ingredients. Herein lies my problem. I took one bite into the sandwich and realized that they lied to me and used frozen, processed chicken cutlet. Similar to a McDonald's chicken nugget. When you crack it open it looks like a sponge inside, not a piece of chicken. They had to put it in the microwave to thaw it out before they put it on my sandwich, (I did not know it was my sandwich they were microwaving together when they were doing it) not only was the price outrageous but the quality was absolute cr&p. I will never be going back to any of these sandwich shops.

Went there when I first moved here. I asked if they actually had PO Boys and got a blank stare back. When I asked again the lady said she had no idea what that was. When I explained the name of the business and what it was she said she didn’t care. I swore I’d never go back. If you don’t care about your food or understand where you work then I don’t care either. Response to the owner, a Po Boy is not a Louisiana seafood restaurant, it's a type of sandwich and being a sub shop named after them you would think you would know that. You basically proved my point. Here is the definition, A poor boy (also po boy) is a traditional sandwich from Louisiana. It almost always consists of meat, which is usually roast beef or fried seafood, often shrimp, crawfish, fish, oysters or crab. The meat is served on New Orleans French bread, known for its crisp crust and fluffy center. The photo below is of an oyster po boy (not made by this place) and as you can see, it's not a restaurant. Kind of looks like a sub right?

Just bought a tuna melt from there and it was HORRIBLE. It tasted like pure salt. Not sure how anyone could think that was edible.

We purchased 2 & 1/2 subs for our group of five. Three different subs and everyone was very pleased and we all enjoyed them. Very filling and tasty! We even had several pieces left over. I will definitely recommend Poor Boys Subs and although I only get to Toms River occasionally, I will make it a point to visit them again!

They do a good job. Everything tastes good. Place is clean. Can't wait to go back maybe I will give 5 stars then. Sub rolls are not as good as new york.

I had a 6 foot sandwich catered for an event and although I paid $125 for the sandwich, I have to say they did stuff it with meat. The bread was good not Brooklyn bread good but good. Still one of my favorite sandwich spots when I’m in the area.
