Can’t believe I forgot to review one of my hidden gems in Box Hill, if I could, I would give them ten stars where fives stars represent the top score. Trust me, no matter what dish you order, you won’t regret as they are all wonderfully prepared. The flavors are always magnificent and the ingredients are always fresh. God bless them, they survived the pandemic, otherwise I don’t know where to find a compatible and similar one. I would recommend always order normally dishes rather than a quick bite or bentos.

Ordered roast duck rice and soy sauce chicken rice. Duck and chicken were both very overcooked and the meat was dry. The service was mediocre and this lady (seems like the boss) kept picking on this new cashier staff because she was getting impatient with him. Didn't give me a good first impression and it might as well be the last impression.

Although Its not quite the same as 大家樂 in Hong Kong which is a fast food/cafe style food, this one in Box Hill has its own charm. We arrived quite late but the staff were happy to serve us and made us feel very welcome. Soup came straight away and it was great to see the traditional Cantonese soup being served with dinner at no additional cost. We ordered fish fragrant eggplant with chicken, drunken chicken claypot soup, xo scallops and salt and pepper tofu. The scallops and the chicken claypot soup were particular highlights but all the dishes were great. We will be coming back to try the bbq meats too!

Initial impressions: Friendly af service, great tasting roast meats, flavours are fairly authentic and clean tasting. Edit 3 months later: less than attentive service on subsequent visits, wait staff don't seem to care or notice who came in first. Flavours a touch off, probably will give it a miss unless things pick up a bit
