Great menu at this almost hidden restaurant, off the main street of Bishop. We read the menu on the window and decided to give it a try. The food was delicious and we'll prepared, service fine. The only downside is the lack of sound-proofing. There was a rather noisy table of 4 not particularly close to us where the loud voices and laughing became very distracting. I had the pecan crusted pork tenderloin--delicious! My husband enjoyed the salmon. Lots of yummy vegetables included plus a house salad.

Every course at Sage was excellent. When I looked at the menu, I was a bit concerned. Very old fashioned, the kind of food I might have seen in the '70s. But ignore that! Everything was prepared to very high standards. My wife had an excellent salmon and my pork tenderloin was superb. The homemade ice cream and a perfect creme brulée finished the meal perfectly. If you're in or near Bishop, you should go.

Lovely place with high quality food. By far the nicest place in Bishop for a dinner out. My salmon was fantastic!

Great restaurant, amazing atmosphere. They were very understaffed when we visited. Heather, our server was working exceedingly hard; she doubled as the hostess and the busboy but never missed a beat. The food was exceptional. And the desert was heavenly. Only one pet peeve for the owner / manager, please delete your $2 bread refill policy. It just seems petty, and cheapened the overall experience. I seriously doubt that for patrons who refuse the bread that they get a $2 credit on their bill. Truly, the only place were we've been charged for bread refill.

Ambience is a little flat, just very white with some dark purple splashes and some cool photographs. Bread was good, but not an ample amount or unique,; however a second basket is two dollars...that is offputting and a little lowbrow to me. Definitely an adequate wine list. Had the veggie ravioli...side vegetables of squash pureed and diced...perfect..ravioli were very good. Side salad was very nice. Not many options for vegetarians or vegans. Skipped desert, not too many options on that. Flavor profile was prefect on entrees. So total rave on food. Blah atmosphere and the 2 for additional bread was a negative. Also maybe use a cloth napkin in your bread basket and maybe a candle on the table. Wait staff was adequately attentive.atmosphere was the fail. .

We went to celebrate my husband's birthday. He has the lamb shank with the soup of the day. I had the trio of veggie raviolis with the house salad. The food was high quality and well made. The service was top notch. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu items and how they are prepared. We loved our meal so much we even had dessert. The vanilla creme brulee was outstanding.

The best filet steak I have eaten in a long time! I ordered it (filet mignon) rare and it was extremely tender. Too bad we're tourists otherwise this place would become a favorite.

Nice restaurant. The server knew the menu very well. She informed us what they were out of before we ordered which is good to know. Great service. All the servers are very nice and friendly. We ordered the jalapenos potato soup, sauteed mushrooms, braised lamb shank and clam pasta but they substitute with mussels. All of them were really good. Very recommend. Try this place if you pass by or stay over night in bishop.

The service was great. The food was delicious!! We came here for my father's birthday on a Thursday. It was pretty mellow night. Our waitress was very knowledgeable. The food was delightful, we had the rib eye special medium rare, Cooked to perfection. Also the scampi, which was rich in flavor and enough to share with two... Sage is an awesome hidden gem in bishop. I will recommend it to everyone, and will come back soon.

We ate here one night. White tablecloths, china, silverware with generous napkins and excellent service. My wife had medallions of pork tenderloin she still raves about. I had the buffalo meatloaf because I'm a guy but the meals were well presented, service was good and the price was just above fair. We will make a point of dinner at the Sage our next time in Bishop.
