The Wayward Kraken

Great place to cone and get your game on! The beer selection is great' the staff is helpful and there is lots of geekful fun to be had. The atmosphere is laid back and chill with game rooms, sitting rooms and a dining room. The food is lacking with low quality pub fare the norm. There is a lot if potential here and I would keep my eye on them to see what they do in the next year.

I am glad it has lived up to the hype. It is a comfortable, quaint place that aims for a demographic of role-players, board game enthusiasts, and all nerds alike. They have a nice selection of draft beers, Mississippi specific, and a cooler full of other selections, as well. If you enjoy playing Warhammer, Dungeons and Dragons and the like, this is the place to be to meet fellow gamers. I had The Hartfield burger, which was excellent, with seasoned fries and a couple of Jefferson Stouts from Chandeleur Island Brewing Company. All in all an excellent experience and I will be returning to check out their variety of weekly specials and events. The owner, L.B., is quite the gentleman and an avid gamer, as well. Thanks Wayward Kraken you have easily earned my 5 stars.

I really liked the theme and was surprised there weren't more nerds there. Maybe this would fare better in Tallahassee because I know there a lot of people who'd like a place with solid food, good beer selection, and TONS of board games. My burger was tasty and the woman who runs it, a pleasure to talk to.
