Morning Buns

Ok, so this place is maybe a best kept secret, or maybe not. We wanted some pastries for breakfast while visiting the Bethany Beach area for a baseball tournament. So we stumbled across them when visiting the Italian restaurant behind them the night before. Geez, people, get there at opening! They sell out quick!! Everything is homemade. So when it's gone they close back up to start preparing their next batch. All the pastries we ordered came in large amounts and of delicious quality. Really, get there early. You'll wait in line but it's worth it. Place is insane!

Sweets for the Sweet! This bake shoppe located close to Bethany Beach is so charming! Lovely staff! Employing all social distancing policies for safety but still operating efficiently. Expect a small wait outside because the inside space is small. But so worth the wait! The assortment of scones, pasties, sticky buns and more is beyond compare. I stop there every time I am in the area and always leave delighted!

A tiny bake shop that tries really hard and does pretty well. The muffins are their best effort. The croissants are huge, too big in fact because they are undercooked inside with large air gaps and uneven layers. The flavor is good but could stand for a little more fermentation to add flavor (IMHO). They use the same layered dough in some of their pastries and those also suffer the same fate. It would be nice to see some other yeast-raised buns from different doughs like brioche or other. The scones are ok as well but were a little too dense for me although moist. Get here early because they sell out or it’s a 30-minute wait. Their prices are really reasonable which makes this place standout in the crowd.
