This food is really good. BYOB. The duck was fantastic, the tiramisu was top tier, and the burrata was delicious. Best food I’ve had in months. 10/10

Like many great restaurants this place is very unassuming from the outside. The food was excellent! Staff was very polite and knowledgeable. Worth the 75 min drive from my house.

We have had multiple family celebrations here and the service is always hospitable, pleasant, and kind. The food speaks for itself: delicious and fresh and updated Italian classics.

This place should go out of business. The food is actually pretty good. The problem is that after sitting down at the table for dinner, we were offered a choice of water, which is common. Unless I misunderstood, the choices were tap, still, or sparkling. The four of us at the table requested tap water. A short period of time later a bottle of still water appeared on the table. We reminded the staff we had asked for tap water, but were told the restaurant does not serve tap water because of Covid. This despite the fact that no one in the place was wearing a mask--which was fine--and Covid cannot live in tap water. Were it not for the fact that we were dining with friends who recommended this place we would've walked out. This was also their first time dining here, and they were equally appalled. Aside from being ignorant and asinine, this is a petty, mean-spirited way to pad bills with a few more dollars. They would be better off instituting an upcharge for using a credit card, or just raising all the menu prices a dollar or two. I will trash this place to everyone I can possibly think of. They cannot go out of business fast enough.

Absolutely loved the food. The way that they prepare the calamari is exceptional. It's BYOB which keeps the prices reasonable. Make sure you have a reservation, especially on a popular night like Thursday, Friday or Saturday because the tables don't turn over much. People tend to have lingering dinners. The owners are friendly and spend time talking to the guests.

Anthony, the owner, came to our table and took great care of us. He really made it a comfortable environment for all of us to dine in. Pete and Andre were very personable and accommodating waiters. They listened to all of our orders perfectly and did exactly what we told them to do. We had the lobster raviolis and calamari as appetizers and each dish was great. The food was nice and hot and evenly cooked. The entrees were amazing as well. I highly recommend the tortellini if you decide to come. Everything about Strega, the food, service, and ambiance was phenomenal 5/5 will come back again!

If you happen to be in the Berkeley Heights area, Strega is a definite stop to make. It doesn't look like much from the outside, located in the middle of a strip mall but once you step in, you'll be glad you did. I stopped by with a large party and we were all treated like family and not 1 person left hungry or dissatisfied with their meal. I personally recommend the short ribs and the calamari to start. My only regret was they were out of the frozen cappuccino that looks delicious. Next time! Thanks to the wonderful staff for your hospitality to our large, loud group.

Had a fish dinner which would have upped my rating by taste, but it was overcooked and a bit dry. Staff friendly, bread and special butter yummy, salad very good and generous. BYOB. Would probably try one more time based on flavor and quality of fish.
