Mr. Burger

So today we decided to finally give Mr Burger a try since there are new owners. The place look very good. I love what they've done to the place. It looks great They've put tables in the front of the place for seating if you decide you would like to eat there. The menu is fairly big with lots of goodies to choose from. The staff was friendly and the order process was quick. We've seen the burgers on best bites so that's what we decided yo order. The both of us decided to order the two double meat hamburgers with cheese with a order of crinkle fries and a order of onion rings. Not often you find crinkle fries. Once you place ur order you receive a little buzzer that lights up when you're order is ready. That was pretty cool. Finally our order was ready once we approached the counter we were surprised at how heavy the bag was. It smelled heavenly. Once we arrived home we couldn't wait to tear into the bag. We were shocked at how big the burgers actually were. Biggest burger I've ever seen. They taste like homemade burger that you make at home and were seasoned to perfection. I could barely open my mouth to take a bite. This was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. I'll definitely be back. Best burger I've had in Beaumont this far. Amazing food. Surprising variety from American classics like hamburgers and cheeseburgers with fries to seafood platters. Owner is very welcoming and seems to always be there ready to greet and serve customers. His staff are amazingly polite and professional as well... Prices are very reasonable especially for what you get. An amazing example of a great self-made business here in Southeast Texas. 🙌 Oh! I should mention the wings are amazing also. Spicy Hawaiian is my favorite sauce from them. Be it breaded or naked. A taste that reminds of being at home with family and friends. If y'all are in SETX in Beaumont stop by Mr. Burger. Great place to pick-up lunch...

TLDR; Tasty fairly inexpensive. Three of us came here again for the first time since it had been sold off. We've seen far more people at it daily than we did before, so we were pretty eager to try it. We got 2 double cheeseburgers, a shrimp burger and a single order of the Fajita fries. It was easily more than enough for the 3 of us, and we quite enjoyed all of our food. The burgers were tasty and well seasoned and cooked in a smashed grill style that these types of burger diners are well known for. Everything from the bun to the fresh veggies was excellent on the burger, and they were well prepared. I thought the shrimp burger odd, but ot was tasty too, and it had 5 or maybe 6 crispy shrimp inside of it, and it tasted great with all the trimmings and tartar sauce inside. It didn't come with cheese, and I think it was probably better without it. The fajita fries were crinkle cut, hot and covered in a queso that wasn't too thick. It gave it kind of a nacho feeling without having thick cheese that didn't allow you to separate the fries. All in all, everything tasted excellent. They even have a big agua-fresca tub full of Kool-Aid, which they sell at 2 dollars for a 16 oz cup. My only complaint could be that the building and parking lot looks much like it did before the change in ownership, a little uninviting, though the inside is full of nicer and cleaner appliances. All in all, this place keept what was good about it before, and adds more dishes and flair that fit the down home location it has. I'm going to be happy to come back another day, possibly for the large plate of fajita fries, even though i'll definitely not be able to finish them.
