Gitan Bistro Cru

The setting was relaxing. Had great wines. Used a Groupon for tasting wine and cheese. Service was great. Went there a few minutes after they opened, which was great! Food was great. I had the Ful as an appetizer. They have some imported wines, one of them being the Le Grand Noir. It was AMAZING! And I was surprised being that I love sweet reds better. Good for after work wind down.

We have been here on two occasions and both times the food was remarkable. They have red wines that blow your mind for the price point and you can even take bottles home with you at a discount! We started with the cheese board which had an insanely good cheddar and buffalo mozzarella. Paired with the wines it was an exceptional start to the meal. I had the shrimp scampi which I honestly wanted to lick the plate clean while my date had a vegetable linguine type pasta dish. The decor is very nice and clean. Romantic and what you would expect for the price. The service was perfect. Yes we may have had to ask for another glass of wine, but that is so much nicer to just enjoy your company and ask when you want something than be interrupted every 5 minutes. A true hidden gem in Canton!

Great local wine bar with a laid back, European cafe atmosphere. Their wine happy hour and specials are always a good deal, and they have a good selection of bottles and glasses. On the food end, there is a decent selection of Mediterranean dishes, but they are mostly lighter fare. The staff is always very friendly and the owner is very nice and involved with the operation of her cafe. There is also outside seating which can be very pleasant on a nice day.
