Mezes were good. They are good sides for your main dish. However there were some problems with their main dishes, especially with the lamb and pulled beef in a tomato based water. Lamb shanks are one of the most delicious part of the lamb. We tried them but it lacks the taste. It was so plain, no spice and salt. Same for the pulled beef. Pulled beef was also incredible chewy. Other than that, the dessert variety may be enriched and rice puding may be served in single cups. Overall, the other main dishes were good, especially gyro was incredible and rice variety and taste were really good.

This authentic self-service open concept buffet is a rare treasure trove of mediterranean cuisine! This place is truly a gem for those looking to explore culturally. I do have to say the service is non-existent as intended. No one is picking up plates and your drinks are self serve. That said, the food experience more than satisfies a five star rating. I have to recommend the avocado hummus 5/5, baba ganoush 5/5, kibbeh savory and not dry 5/5, rose water 10/5, chicken thigh 5/5, baklava 5/5. As a value tip, you can get 1 lamb shank per person but you have to ask the hostess. It's dark lamb meat and fairly gamey, which I love, but I know it can be off-putting to others. Flavor 5/5 authentic robust flavors Service 2/5 Value 5/5 - much cheaper than Austin buffets Atmosphere 5/5 - authentic music and cuisine

Sammy was a great host and made it a special trip for our kids. It was a fairly clean buffet and the food was fresh. Arabic coffee available as well as traditional Mediterranean dishes. Some of the food was lacking flavor, but if you mix the many toppings with everything it makes a wonderful meal. I was a bit disappointed that my 2 and 3 year old were charged full price. Other than that I think pricing was fair. We will likely come back again.

My husband and I had trouble agreeing on where to go for lunch. We wanted to find a buffet, but most of the ones we came across were either high in carbohydrates or only had lettuce. Finally, we stumbled upon Dimassi's Mediterranean Buffet, and what a treat it was! The buffet had a great variety of options for both vegetarians and carnivores, including fish, soups, freshly baked bread, coffee, tea, sodas, delicious desserts, and fresh chopped fruit. We were also impressed by the warm and friendly service. We enjoyed the experience so much that we are already planning to return soon, this time with our whole family. If you're looking for a great buffet, we highly recommend Dimassi's on Research Blvd.

We liked the place, we’ll be coming back. Nice variety of meet and vegetables, drinks. And it’s not only Coca Cola yay! The only thing I didn’t like it is people who don’t look after their kids in common area and allow to grab some food with bare hands. But it is not the staff problem, it’s parents.

i love this place! the food is very good... carefully prepared and set out... very good atmosphere and prices - takeout is by weight! ??-- just had lunch to go.. simple veg-slad plate with small piece of fish and 2 small slivers lamb and 12oz soup $30!!! seems a bit outrageous!!!!

My favorite buffet place in Austin. So many great chicken dishes to choose from, and they always have lots of melons for dessert!
