Sonic Drive-in

Absolutely infuriating. Sat in a stall for over 30 minutes in the blazing heat trying to place an order. Finally have to sit on my hood and hollar at one of the car hops just for him to tell me "oh yeah that stall doesn't work" Cool whatever put an out of order sign up then!! Then rather then help me he tells just to move to a different stall, except that every other stall was full with it being lunch. Bottom line there's other sonics around so go to one of them before you go to this one. Your guaranteed a better experience literally anywhere else Update: when I finally got home with food they gave me the completely wrong order

Ordered large chili cheese tots on the app and drinks. Got to the Sonic about 5-10 minutes later, checked in and still had to wait 10 minutes! So much for ASAP choice on the app when choosing a pick-up time. Not only did it take 20 minutes total, I was given chili cheese fries when I had ordered chili cheese tots. I got it to go and didn't check it before I left. Somebody didn't read the printout very closely inside the establishment or they were more concerned with other things and not paying attention.

So many disappointing experiences here to count. Latest was last night. Food brought to car and carhop says here, I need to go back to make your ice creams, which would have been more appropriately said as hey I’m going go ahead and let you hold your food and let it get cold. So carhop gets back after a decent wait with the blasts dripping over the sides and just hands them to me and just says here. I had to ask her to bring me napkins and hold them outside my car window so I did not get it all over my car. No apology, no let me clean that up for you, just a blank uncaring face turning and walking away. Get home, no surprise the food ice cold... like the melting blast and food smashed in the bag like someone sat on it. Not sure if I will be back, but I hope at least the carhop has found other employment by that time.

New to TX my family had not been to Sonic before. Even with two sets of twins under ten on board, my sister & were able to satisfy all their tastes cheaply with the kids menu, and get food for ourselves for under $30, a rare thing. Pretty soon it became our favorite stomping ground. Always friendly service, never messed up our order. We also love being able to pull up to one of the ordering stations and get all our orders before requesting service, as well as being able to touch our card to the display to pay.
