Sonic Drive-in

We were driving in the area and decided to stop by to get something fast to eat. My husband and I enjoyed the food that we got. I got the footlong coney hot and onion rings. My husband got the super sonic bacon double cheeseburger and fries. The service was really fast from ordering to getting our food. Then, another worker came out and asked if we needed anything. We needed ketchup and he had it ready. He went by and asked other vehicles. Great service and great food.

Wanted to start by saying I don’t typically eat here & didn’t have very high expectations due to iffy local reviews & an abysmal interaction my husband had, mentioning he once waited over 10 minutes for a single drink only a few nights before. I pulled in around happy hour only seeing maybe 2-3 staff members inside, the parking lot was tidy & clean and staff was wearing masks , but unfortunately had to re-park twice due to broken stalls. I ordered a drink & small cheese stick, the gentleman taking my order was very affable & notably patient with me despite me changing my order a-few times, he even suggested I try the marinara sauce for the cheese sticks shortly aster telling him it would be my first time having them. The food was out the door in less than 2 minutes. I barely had time any to grab my card it was so fast 😂 unfortunately the-spot I parked in wasn’t allowing me to pay. The young man bringing out my food was strikingly kind & insured I got everything I ordered correctly. He quickly noticed I was having issues getting my card through, so I tried paying cash instead avoiding any back & forths, without hesitation the young man offered to go back inside to run my card despite the chilled weather insisting that it wasn’t any issue, The service was speedy & accurate. Most important the food tasted great. The cheese sticks were amazing and went down perfectly with the ocean wave slush. 10/10 would come again! Great service & friendly staff!!

My daughters and I stopped for a double sonic burger and a few half price drinks the other day and it gave me a nostalgic feeling! Not only were they kind when taking my order but the burger was juicy and picture perfect. We also got onion rings that were super hot and perfectly cooked. Our drinks were tasty and I even drove back to say that that was the best I’ve had since I was a kid. I hope they keep this up because a lot of the other sonic locations could learn from them. If you’re in the area between 12 and 6 I suggest stopping by this sonic! You won’t regret it!!

Sonic in general seems pretty "meh," at best. This was the only location within 10 miles that didn't immediately cancel taking my order after I pressed the Red Button. Even when I finally got to speak to a sonic employee we could barely hear eachother. Food is still good but the carhop stations need work.
