Grandy's

I cant lie. It's always cold in Grandys. You definitely always need a sweater or light jacket, but the food is always hot and ready. We dont have a Grandys close by, so I have to get out to the nearest ones every chance I can. I ordered the country fried steak, babe ordered the chicken fried steak. I love having the choice of brown and white gravy. I really hate we dont get 2 rolls anymore, but I love everything else. Great customer service the day I was there tok.

I went for lunch expecting a crowd but, including myself, there were 6 people who came in and out. The food was sub par and I can understand now why it's popularity has decreased. The booths are torn and stuffing is coming out, it was just bad. The corn looked to be leftover and had that old taste. The best part of my meal was the potatoes.I went in search for butter and was surprised it was kept behind the counter, after all it was only margarin.

Food is decent but according to the comments this location has struggled for a while. Grandy’s owner I see where you have apologized for the last at least 10 mo., but have failed to update the look. I would recommend a fresh look but with un happy workers that would wash. I would recommend community events but once they come inside and see this cracking paint they would walk back out. You need to work on both. I was here by my self for almost my entire lunch hour. That should say something about how your business is doing.

The service was friendly and good. The young lady even helped me with my tray to my place where I wanted to sit. The building is old and could use some work. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because when I went to grab the pepper shaker it was all sticky. I even tried one on another table and both the pepper and salt shaker were sticky as well. Not sure why they were sticky but grouse. Other than that it was quite and good food with nice employees there.
