From the original stall back to my campus days to the little spot in downtown Ann Arbor, Le Dog is another iconic spot that locals love! Freshly made soups each day, with lobster bisque (my personal fave) additionally offered on Thursdays and Fridays. Hot dog and polish sausage round out the menu!
Chicken tortilla is the family fave! Tried the salmon shrimp corn chowder today too ... light in flavor, not too salty. Zingerman's bread was great to soak up with the soup!

The lobster bisque was yum. Had actual lobster pieces but not loaded or anything like that. Like a clam chowder but more special. Came with pretty decently big piece of bread, and 16oz portion is pretty generous. Appreciated how it was packed thoughtfully (i.e. brown paper bag with napkin and spoon ready to go.)

After many years, I came back and had my favorite: lobster bisque. As fantastic as I remembered. This place is a must! Jules, the owner, was there and it was so nice to reminisce.

The Bolivian peanut soup is INCREDIBLE. Great prices (like $8 for a soup and big hunk of bread). Note that there isn't any seating.

You have not lived until you have tried the lobster bisque served on Thurs and Fri. All other soups are like no others… always an eclectic menu weekdays 11:30-2:30.

Great soup but zero online menu of soups on what days. What business doesn’t show their menu and prices? So if you have a soup you want you better hope your lucky that day? And the things you do find are way outdated. Lobster bisque says 8 dollars, it’s 12 but no updates and as I said you have no idea what they serve on what days. Very unprofessional and not modern. You go there with no clue about anything. Very popular place and good stuff but they need to get a website with menu which they can for free. No wonder they are only 3 hours. Lazy

Hidden inside a large building and only known to locals/lunch crowd. The friends and family working this little shop will serve you one of the best lunches in Ann arbor for under 10 bucks. It doesn't matter what soup is freshly prepared for that day, you will order it and be satisfied. Aside from the soup, who can deny a great hot dog or kielbasa topped with kraut.
