Yes, it's a McDonald's and you know what to expect with the food. The reason this particular McyD's is so awesome is the people who work here. EVERY TIME I stop by this location the employees are very friendly and the service is quick!

I was excited to hear about salads being back at McDonald's I just had to try it. Well very disappointed with their new items. Was small with not so fresh grilled chicken. All pre packaged with a high price. Definitely not worth it.

Now, I've been keeping this story to myself for some time, as to protect my identity. Yet I can no longer hold this in. It eats at my soul every day. So... here goes. I came here in 2020 with my best friend Todd Mitchell. He was one of those guys who always wore a baseball cap and an oversized hoodie. We came for a late night Frappe, but didn't know just what we were going to get. (sorry if my writing gets a little shaky, I haven't talked about Todd in a few years). So anyways... We go in and ask the vaguely European employee for two caramel frappes. He takes a step back like we said something offensive and reaches his arm down by his leg. At this point we knew what he was doing. Todd copied the workers movements with haste. It was a duel. I looked at the worker and then at Todd. Both had sweat dripping down their foreheads like a freshly groomed race horse. I saw Todd's fingers twitch, which seemed to spur a reaction in the European. He swiftly grabbed his side-arm and put 3 holes in places that they shouldn't be. Todd cried out in pain one last time, before disappearing into the ether. The European clicked open his holster and slid the weapon in. He then proceeded to make both Frappes with haste. I drank both. One for me. One for Todd.

I want to start off by saying I have never had an issue with staff here. But as previous comments said they ALWAYS get my order wrong. I would say it’s 50-50 maybe less you will get the order correct. Example, today they had my wait 10 minutes for a regular crispy chicken sandwich, nuggets and fries. Everything looked good from the outside, turns out they gave me the spicy chicken sandwich which I don’t particularly like. Unfortunately it was the closest McDonald’s at the time but normally I try to avoid this specific one.

I ordered a quarter pounder and the gal rang it up with cheese. I told her my daughter DID NOT want cheese. She said they had to put it in that way. I was confused. I said okay but no cheese and only mustard and lettuce. We got home and they put cheese on it. Normally we would not call but this has happened more times than once and we figured if we don’t say something it will continue to be an issue. So we called. Tony said to come in after he told my daughter to write his name on the receipt. My husband got there, Tony was gone and they asked my husband to go inside to explain. What a joke! I get that places are hurting for good help but seriously, find a better honesty system. We will remember to go to the McDonald’s on Randall road. My daughter worked at the one on Randall and Algonquin. Much better communication there!

I can't say anything about the food because they didn't even take my order. It says this McDonald's is open until 11 but when I went tonight, before 10:30, no one was answering. As I sat waiting in line I could hear the car in front of me trying to get someone to talk. That car waited a couple minutes, not sure how long they'd been there before I got behind them, then left. I waited another few minutes then drive to the window. There were people inside and I tried to get their attention with two short honks with no response, they didn't even acknowledge I was there, just ignored me. I know everyone is short staffed right now but if you're closing earlier, change the hours online! Or, if they decided to close early for whatever reason, TURN OFF THE OUTSIDE LIGHTS! When I left there were about 10 other cars behind me. Not the best way to keep customers coming back! You should talk to your staff so this sort of thing doesn't happen.

Not only was half my order missing. But when I called to inform them and to talk about how the women at the window was rude and didnt even acknowledge me. The manager said "yes I'm here by myself so I'm not paying attention. " It was not busy and I was not rushing. Completely unprofessional to ignore a customer and admit your not checking or paying attention. Fast service is nice but accuracy and a smile go a whole lot further!

I have tried to get an order correct from this particular McDonald's several times to no avail. The first time they closed early, the second time they were closed due to maintenance, and the third time I put in a mobile order, which is automatically paid immediately with two shakes and when I went through the drive through they told me the ice cream machine was broke.
The kid at the window asked if I wanted a refund and I said yes. I recieved a receipt that I paid electronically and never got reimbursed. When I called a couple of days later, I was told that they couldn't do it over the phone and would have to come in. I really don't have time to stop in and wait for a $8 refund.
I have changed and go to the McDonald's on 25 in Carpentersville.
