I got the OP cheesesteak and it looked amazing and I was super excited for it but it was pretty bland tasting. I loved the texture of the meat and the sandwich but it needed more seasoning for sure. The grilled onions and peppers really had no flavor as well. The crabby cheese fries were delicious however. I might try loaded fries next time instead.

I have had a handful of steaks around the Philly area, and getting CLOSE to a true Philly cheesesteak is not an easy feat. Nontheless, I always judge a cheesesteak based on Philly standards. I got my personal favorite style for takeout: a south Philly-style whiz wit with a side of small fries. The fries were fantastic! They were very crispy, yet hot, fresh, and soft on the inside. Somehow, they made the ride home that way! Well done Philly Steaks on the fries! The whiz wit wasn't bad. The meat was hot, kind of juicy, and they supplied enough whiz on the side for me to coat the meat with it. I enjoyed eating it, but there is a lot of room for improvement. First, while I understand Sarcone's bakery isn't going to be around the corner, the bread could me more than grocery store quality. If it was baked fresh every day by a local bakery, then it would be a step in the right direction. Second, (and something FAR easier they could do) the steak meat DESPERATELY needs more seasoning and sauce! I know I am eating a masterclass cheesesteak when I can smell it on my fingers hours after I eat it. The whiz wit I got at Philly Steaks barely left a mark at all! And if I am paying over $20 (including tip) for a 12" cheesesteak with a small order of fries, I expect it to take me back in time. It did not do that. It was just solid enough to satisfy me and to earn a generous 4 star rating thanks to those fries.

My son was surprised with an order I sent to his work because of the previous reviews I had seen. We have never eaten from here. He was totally surprised with the order and he loved his gift from us. Thank you

My friend and I came in for lunch on a Thursday afternoon, and as busy as they were, we didn't wait long at all. The food was good, and the portions are perfect. The sandwich I had was called the Duke, with a side of their green chile cheese fries. These fries were the best fries I've had in years.

What a hidden Gem! Very clean and orderly restaurant, the owner is very friendly and cares about the quality of his operation! The food was very fresh and very delicious! Also offers Hoagies. (Boars Head of course). For desert I had strawberry cheese cake and it was delicious as well.

Do yourself a favor and, if you're in Albuquerque, stop by Philly Steaks and try The Duke. Steak, onions, pepper jack, and green chile. It is an amazing twist on the traditional philly cheesesteak. Of course they also have incredible cheesesteaks, if you prefer the original, but The Duke is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had.

Wife and I took a trip to Philadelphia back in 2016 and had Geno's, since then we haven't found anything that can compare till today. We walked into Philly Steaks on Juan Tabo, and it smelled just like Philly and it tasted just like Philly. Good job guys keep up the great job. Definitely coming back.
