We visited The Rupee Room for my mum's birthday. We started off with veg hot n sour soup. A good way to start our dinner. We had bharwan aloo, chicken seekh kebab and murgh reshmi kebab for starters. The chicken seekh kebab was way too dry, it should have been juicy. Bharwan aloo was really good, looked even better. The murgh kebab was the best among the starters. But some pieces were soft and well cooked, the others chewy and hard. For main course, we had chicken takak, Punjabi balti chicken and paneer palak kofta curry, with butter naan and garlic naan. Loved all the curries, the flavours were amazing and super enjoyable. The only problem here again is the chicken pieces, some were perfectly cooked others undercooked or overcooked I couldn't make out as they were too hard. Finally, for desserts, we had gulab jamun. We wanted ice cream to have with the gulab jamun, but unfortunately they did not have ice cream. Overall, a good experience. An evening we enjoyed and had fun!

1. The ambience is barren and dull. 2. The staff is either very nervous/not very well trained/ both. 3. The food is below average. We ordered tomato soup which was too sweet. The papdi chaat was just weird. The punjabi balti chicken was again too sweet and so was the kadhai mix vegetable. The naans and tawa rotis were too chewy. 4. Not exactly value for money. The pricing is actually quite high. 5. My stomach still hurts after almost 18 hours of dining here. 6. They do not inform that they do not accept cards. So you find out the last min that payments are cash only. Good luck if you don’t believe in carrying cash around.

Yesterday was the first time when I visited them although I had already done with my lunch I thought of having #tea here. Their menu has good spread. They served us #Tea in paper cup which I didn’t like at all, as we were having it in the restaurant itself I was not expecting them to serve us like Road side tea shop. On taste it was strictly okay and not up to my expectations. Way they describe it at the start and what we received as end product was totally different. My take: visit if no other options available.

Rupee Room is one of the few Restaurants in Dubai which serves British Indian cuisine... it has the original taste of Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Madras along with Tadka Daal... weather you are looking at a quick bite for lunch or an easy dinner with family it has all the ingredients that need to tickle your taste buds... I have been there 3 times already and would certainly recommend you to try...

Rupee room is one of my favorite restaurants in Dubai. I have been visiting it since the time it was in Dubai Marina Walk and now it has moved to Dubai Internet City. I visited the one in InternetCity yesterday for dinner and the food was delicious and fresh and the indian bread was super soft and fresh. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. And also, they have reduced the menu price. I highly recommend The Rupee Room for proper Indian taste.

VERY AVERAGE FOOD, DECENT QUANTITY They have a minimum 80 AED spend for delivery. The Tangri kabab (6 pcs) and the rogan josh were decent. Butter checken was a bit sweet and chicken was not tender but thready. Sheekh kababs were too much masala and passe. Food is rather oily. Seems from many reviews may not be bad for dine in. Would order if i had an offer like through entertainer, else not worth it.

Disappointing food.. simply disappointing.. We got bhuna ghost and tikka masala.. along garlic naans.. Naan were too hard ; no garlic; Curries were tasteless bland boring unflavorful.. just - find a better chef.. We had entertainer 1+1 coupon - still felt bad value for money...!

Looking at the prices which they're charging for the food one would feel it's a "Michelin Star" restaurant! The food was average! The breads were worse than chewing a gum! We fancied an Indian/English style meal and after perusing 'The Entertainer' settled on here. It turned out that the restaurant was originally in The Marina but due to a fire was temporarily located here. The man on the phone was surprised we were coming as it operates as more of a takeaway presently and lunchtime venue for staff in the HP building. That said we arrived and although sat by ourselves, had a lovely meal and service was really nice. We will definitely use again probably as takeaway and look forward to visiting once established again as a main restaurant.

The Rupee Room is not how I remember it and I would not recommend ordering from them. We ordered a, as per their menu, 'mild creamy curry with almonds and cashews' and we received a spicy curry with fruit and no nuts in sight! When called to inform that we had been sent the wrong curry we were simply informed that 'this is the way we make it here'!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I was told that this place is a bit hit among a particular demographic who hail from the west of North Sea and I can see why. Flavourful and pricey that kind of gives you the impression that it must be good, and going with that flow of thought, you tend to like it. The kebabs and biryanis that come out of the kitchen are good for takeaway at best. And even better when you have that particular demographic mentioned above for company - they will make you feel good about the spend.

Complete disaster! Took 1.20min to deliver the wrong main dish (tried to eat it anyway and it was horrible), soggy nan bread and soft poppadoms. Also missing an item that I also requested. This place has gone from bad to worse and after 5 years I will not be ordering again. Avoid and try bricklane instead!

Just like most of the UK restaurants are run by Bangladeshi who have no idea about Indian cuisine, rupee room is on the similar lines of " we have no idea why we opened a Indian restaurant, but hey its money and there isn't another one around". I guess it works for people who haven't had Indian food a lot or who think Ravi in satwa is exotic and is Indian food. Pros-good location and that's about it. Cons- Everything Suggestion- change everything.

worst service ever !! the guy who is answering the phone is not professional at all and he dont have any ideas about their menu. he took more than 20 mn to take my order after i got the wrong one !! they have advertising for " late night delivery up to 1.30 am " but they didn't accept to take my order at 11.45 pm !! i order from this place 2 times , first was wrong and the second they refuse to deliver !! never again

Looks beautiful, in the background playing instrumental of old songs. The service is amazingly fast, the staff is friendly and professional. Reading the previous reviews written here I had second thoughts about it but I decided to try it out. Really, the food was amazing!!! Complimentary paper and 3 different types of chutneys. Recommended dishes- malai khofta...the best dish (veg) Starters- prawns with French fries On the whole everything was really good, but malai khofta was the best!! Verdict- recommended for any occasion.

Located in the Marina walk, this one is easy to miss if you really don't keep an eye on your surroundings! The restaurant looks very chic with plush chairs and comfortable ambiance... We ordered Tangri kebab(AED 50). Chicken Tikka masala( AED 56) , and Bhoona Gosht (AED56) and butter naan (AED14). They serve yummie chutneys and pappads while you wait for your food! :) The tangri kebab was tasty, but the portion size is REALLY less(3 drumsticks). The bhoona Gosht is finger licking good! But the Tikka masala deserves a big fat zero! We dint bother taking a second serving. A disaster that way too sweet for an indian curry!!!! I think they can certainly reduce their prices. Nawab located in JBR serves north indian food at a better price! MY RATING ON 5 Food :3.5 Price :3 Cleanliness :4.5 Ambiance :4 Would go back? : May be!

Went there for a lunch after a lot of thinking keeping all above reviews in consideration. Honestly, a good place. Decent & Calm. Food is amazing. I still remember the taste. Worst Indian food ever, i was shocked how bad it was. I truly believe someone who doesn't even India is country can cook better Indian food. Just one bite ruined my whole weekend. I kept thinking over and over again how can a restaurant be so bad surely they taste their own food before sending it out. Unless everyone working at the restaurant a has medical disorder where they cant taste the food there is no excuse for such poor quality.

I am not sure why I was generous giving 2 points to this place which has nothing special to offer. I went twice to this place to have their buffet and was extremely disheartened. Before I continue, I must tell you the real reason why I didn't like this place. Because I come from India, and this restaurant offers the so called 'International Indian' cuisine, which is mild, mellow and devoid of much spices that gives the real Indian food its identity. Much of this could be blamed on their Scottish lineage. Obviously when you have a local cuisine in an international market, you would need to adapt to their palates, and Rupee Room does that fairly well. So i presume the westeners would like this place more than the Asian counterparts would. Not writing anything about any dish of theirs, since there's nothing to write home about. Yes, if you are looking for 'Brit' styled Indian curries, baltis, chicken tikka masalas et al, you may visit this place.The decor was still worth complimenting. Being in The Walk, Marina, is already a plus for them, as you can go for a nice stroll after the meal.

Restaurant is next to Spinneys at Dubai Marina. Paid parking is available at nearby area for Dh 10 not sure about the restaurant offering any free parking. One can choose seating at ground level or upper level as well. The upper level is usually used for party etc. Been their for buffet dinner. A decent buffet was in offer that's why value for money. You have almost everything, good selection of Salads, soups, chats & main course/Desert as well. In case one has to choose from menu then this restaurant is over priced & not recommended at all. No way it justify the price because neither it is premium class restaurant nor located in any five star hotels then why this prices? Recently I noticed a new approach adopted by Curry & Noodles restaurant by introducing new menu with lesser prices ( Almost reduction of 30% - 50% from their previous menu prices without compromising quality & portion) to attract more & more people. I am 100% sure that they would have been successful in achieving the planned business target after this action & strongly believe rupee room to look into it & correct price to make it more affordable for all.
