When you take over 2 hours to deliver three items (a soup, samosas and some tangdi) and ur quoted delivery time is 40 minutes or so, you better hope that it's going to be some of the best you've eaten and that the food is still hot. Neither of these were the case, the soup had the most flavour of all the items, pity it was lukewarm bordering on cold. The samosas looked overcooked and the filling was as appealing as they were visually, however by far the worst was the chicken tangdi... the slightly warm drumsticks looked quite ok when we opened box, however the flavour seems to have been left in the kitchen, it was seriously like biting into a bit of steamed chicken, they were so bland and boring, its such a shame as they looked nicely chargrilled but tasted of nothing. The generic, copy and paste response they have to bad reviews will be ignored, there's just way too many other quality restaurants out there that have proved themselves, with on-time delivery and tasty food. I will not be chancing it again with these guys.

Hi I’m not sure whether I ordered wrongly and not sure which food is your specialty. Anyway I ordered a Frankie and kheema Pav. Frankie was not a Frankie and kheema pav was cold. You need to order yesterday for the food to arrive today! And to top after numerous tries and multiple rings someone answers and says “Sorry” lot of rush hence the delay. Order to leave in 3-4 mins. Delivery arrives post an hour after the call that was connected after 45 mins of placing the order. The delivery guy says he took 18 mins to reach. I wonder what time-management and commitment thereof! Except Chiken Tikka the rest food was not worth the wait at all! Highly NOT recommended! Never a second time ever...

Funkie Town Cafe is one of the most sought after place in Dubai especially for some lip-smacking North Indian & Parsi Food. We visited this restaurant for dinner. Ambience is small but very exquisite and beautiful , this place has a positive feel to it. I found this restaurant luxuriously warm & cozy. In all for starters we ordered the Mutton Cutlets, Kali Mirch Paneer, Ajwani fish tikka & Murgh kali mirch. Not only the starters were mouthwateringly delicious but special mention of the green chutney accompanying it, was just fantastic. Then came the paneer frankie and chicken tikka frankie. I cannot lay a finger on the quality of food, everything in terms of taste & flavors was spot on. For mains we ordered for the signature Mutton Keema pav, the consistency and the taste of the gravy was perfect, it was one of the best i tasted, the bun maska to have with the hara kheema was so unique. The drinks we tried were the Masala soda, Kokum cooker and the watermelon ginger. All were excellent. And not forgetting the Casata icecream and the Falooda, which are a must have dessert after the scrumptious meal. With the excellent service, 2 hours free parking and the fabulous food, this restaurant is definitely in my repeat list for future visit.

While it took around 75 minutes for the food to be delivered, the sad part was while we were calling the restaurant and nagging zomato to follow up on our order, we were notified that our order had been delivered on the app. This was frustrating since we had no idea where our food was. Coming to the actual food, my husband and i had ordered a portion of paneer burji and chole bature each. We were sure that the quantity would be more than enough, since the paneer burji was priced at 35 AED. We were shocked to find a mangy piece of bun cut into two served along with the paneer. The chole bature was okay, nothing exceptional. My poor husband ended up eating some bread from the fridge. All this after paying 61 AED for the meal. This is one restaurant we won't be ordering from again.

We had ordered for Sali Boti, chicken tandoori, paved bhaji and a rumali roti. We are a fan of Parsi cuisine and were quite excited to try Sali boti. It was a complete put off in the name of Sali boti. The authentic taste was nowhere even close to what we ate. It was sour and tasteless. Chicken tandoori was bland and white in color with water in the box we received. The only edible thing was the rumali roti. I will recommend everyone not to have food at this cafe.

Cafe Funkie town really surprised me with their service and food. I ordered the following items: 1. Butter Chicken: A staple item for indians and it was definitely very rich in taste and kept up to my expectations. The portion of chicken in the gravy was also quite generous. 2. Bhuna Gosht: This was a very flavour filled item with the perfect balance of spice and savour. 3. Paneer Butter Masala: I absolutely loved the paneer. It had a very authentic touch to it. I am not able to catch what it was but I am definitely going to order this one again. 4. Mutton Seekh Kebab: The kebab was one if the highlights as it was super tender and juicy. The flavour was quite different, one I have not tried before and I loved it. 5. Boti Kebab: This was without doubt my fav dish. I could eat this all day. The mutton was cooked so well. It had flavour pouring out of every bite. It is a MUST try item from their extensive menu. The restaurant seems extremely promising with its menu, flavour and delivery service. The packaging was very carefully done and there was no spillage at all. Moreover, the service was super fast. Definitely recommend.

My friend and I visited this branch last night for dinner. We ordered : paneer tikka Frankie, sali boti chicken, zafrani tea, khari biscuit, patrani machi, chilli garlic naan, masala soda and cheese chili toast. Personally I loved everything we ordered , I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the pantrani machi (white dory boneless fish). The service from Mahesh was spot on and he was very good wrt knowledge on the menu, plus all his recommendations were really good . I definitely recommend to give this place a shot

I love ur jlt outlet but today my delivery order was a total disappointment, the food was horrible! I ordered chicken sali boti there was no sali given and super oily. It tasted lik chicken curry and not salu boti!! Then i ordered a mutton combo it was for aed.53 totally not worth it! Also there should be 6 rotis but there were only 4. Absolutely pathetic and unprofessional approach by staff! Ordered veg box with jeera rice! First spoke to someone called shahbaz(058 180 3492 - not sure if he gave his real name) he said that he has confirmed with kitchen and jeera rice was send! Then when pics were sent on wats app for the number provided , feedback received that the same is not part of veg box ! Quite strange as I have ordered the same before been a regular customer and got the same ! Moreover if the same was not part of veg box why was the option still available on zomato?? After that spoke to one more very professional and polite staff! So polite that he refused to give out his name in spite of asking him several times, his feedback was “ why do u need my name , funkie town is big restaurant and u can just send ur complaint ! Food Matters and if the quality is great, one will always order again and again. The Gobi Mutter was Oily and very Sweet. The chilly cheese toast was OK but not great in terms of crispiness. A place with great food. Loved their starters mutton cutlet and tangdi kabab. The chutneys were too good. Prawns curry with dal and rice was comforting. One of my favorite parsi restaurants in town where we had some delicious meal. We used their app to order online where the delivery was on time as per scheduled. The quantity of each dishes were superb where my favorite was the mix grill platter which came with 4-5 varieties. Cafe Funkie Town in Business Bay is one of the best experiences of typical Mumbai style and Parsi style cuisines. Every dish handed out to customers is one of the best tasting and I can bet you will have a similar experience. I tried their starters with Chicken Grill Platter. The chicken pieces was very soft and succulent which was very nicely marinated. In Main course we had the Green Mutton Kheema with Bun Maska which no one should miss, typical Parsi restaurant style which we miss of Bombay. The Fish curry was out of this world, a south Indian style green coconut gravy curry not only perfected but improvised by their Chef. Had this with plain rice so as to enjoy the rich taste of the curry. I also tried their Parsi Style Salli Boti Chicken which is their fast selling and signature dish. Had this with their Parsi style Rotli.

This place never fails to impress us! My family and I visited this place and we ordered their specialties like Kheema pattice , Chicken Farcha, Paneer kali mirch, Roasted masala papad and Bhindy fry for the starters. For the main course, we chose Chicken Sali Boti, Mutton Dhansak (served with brown rice 1 serving), Bhuna Ghosht and Berry Pulao. For dessert we had the Parsi famous Lag Nu Custard and Cassata. Also, don't forget to try the Nimbu Pani! The food is absolutely phenomenal and reasonably priced. Since the cafe has limited space, it is recommended that you reserve a table prior to your visit. The menu also had a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. Our total bill was about AED 500/- for 7 super hungry adults for that amazing spread. The service is prompt and our table attendant so kind and helpful throughout. Definitely going back there, again and again!

I was surprised to find Parsi vegan options here, quite exciting. Picked an all vegan meal plus the crispy bhindi which was nice. Liked the masala khichdi and dal, rated the order and delivery 5* and was enjoying it until I got to the eggplant curry. There were quite a few pieces of chicken in the gravy for the eggplant, pic shows one. I'm mostly vegan, occasionally vegetarian and dont eat meat or fish. The manager Mahesh was apologetic when contacted and offered a free repeat order, which I appreciate but not comfortable accepting. Please, please take active steps to avoid cross-contamination in your kitchen if you offer vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. This happens with establishments too often and feels super gross.

Chicken Tikka Kali Mirch : Juicy tikkas were really good.They were melting in mouth, bursts of flavor, good quality with perfect quantity.It's worth trying. 3. Tangdi kebab: Being a punjabi i had best tangdi's in my life.They need to work on this dish a little more as it wasn't that juicy and wasn't well done. Paneer hariyali: The dish was tasting as it was supposed to taste. 14.) Veg dhansa: The gravy tasted like alright and was having a semi thick texture. 15.) Recently tried and ordered from here the first time and enjoyed the food so much! It led to me order from them within a few days again. Of course I had the vested motivation of trying things from their menu and figuring out what’s to become my favourites .First time around I ordered the patra ni macchi and a chicken Frankie. Frankie is a generous enough portion of like almost two half long rolls. The flavours were amazing! (Although their sauces seem to be on the milder side which I still enjoyed ) so if you want spicier perhaps mention so. The second time around ordered a Prawn Patia combo box along with Dhansak, Masala khichdi and chicken cutlet and some Kheema Pao. Oh how I relished ! the khichdi and the cutlet , the Dhansak and the prawns and Kheema were nice too but tad sweeter than I expected. All in all I love ! the food from here and they do deserve 5 stars. However I take away the one star for the disappointingly long wait. On both occasions my delivery was really late, first time around 45 mins which is ( understandable at lunch time ) but second time was a whole hours wait! My only feedback is to perhaps give a more realistic delivery time or work on their time schedule and delivery. Another tiny upset was my one missing Roti, 😢got just one instead of two mentioned on the menu. Saw that in another review. So hope they fix that either with the portion being offered or correct the quantity mentioned. Keep up the good work on the great flavours meanwhile!🤗

I have visited this restaurant only once and the service we recurved was excellent , the staff is very courteous, we tried their kheema pav , tangi kebab and baida roti , we liked all the 3 times but we liked the kheema the mossssttttt , I am very sure we will be visiting this place often for their yummiest kheema pav :)

A good parsi restaurant. Tried their Chicken Farcha which was a bit oily, but i guess thats how its supposed to be. Their butter chicken was also good but was prepared in Mumbai style, so the Delhiites would not find it mouth watering. Overall service was good, staff was great!! Value for money!! If you are ordering food, then their combos are amazing. I order lunch from them for twice a week and it never disappoints me..!!

Really yummy Parsi food. Their masala khichri and dhansak daal is delicious and I devoured it within minutes. The bhindi fry wasn’t great though, I think too much batter made it extremely hard and a bit difficult to eat more than a couple. The Aloo tiki was yummy as well. My main complain is around the amount of plastic that is used for delivery, please try to be more environmentally conscious.

For fantastic, wholesome and unadulterated food, you must head to Cafe Funkie Town! I am slowly making my way through the menu and nothing has disappointed me yet. The all day breakfast is fabulous and I don’t think I have eaten a better ham and cheese omelette anywhere. My love for bread and all things carb loaded means that the bun Maska is the only thing I regularly order. The service by Nitin and Mahesh is exceptional and their knowledge of the menu is excellent. Thank you for your stupendous service each time!

Going out with office colleagues for a nice good meal on Thursday to relax and have a good meal. But then this was one of the worst service in terms of food, hospitality and customer friendliness. We ordered a chicken tandoori and mutton lamb chops. We were told over and over again that it will take 30 mins for preperation as its made in their special way. We waited thinking this must be something different so let's try and inspite of that the food came was in a hossible shape. Undercooked, raw and it had blood inside since it was dripping in oil which sort of covered the blood before we could take a bite and after a single bite the blood inside the raw and undercooked meat rushes out in our hands. To our surprise the customer service was even worse they didn't bother to even acknowledge infact was asked to wait without any apology. Few moments later after the hotel personnel named Mr. Mahesh calls his manager saying that they're looking at a refund with no sorrow or an emotion that they served an uncooked and raw dish, the reply was "this is how we cook,Wait another 30 mins we will make again" with no sign of apology for serving a dish which had blood inside and completely raw. Having said that we have to go back to office and cannot wait for 30 mins even if you'll make the dish again, we were told that nothing can be done this is how we "cook" and its not blood. Another customer too having a biryani faced the same issue of food being undercooked but the cashier said last time you came you didn't find the food undercooked how can it be undercooked this time. I wouldn't suggest this place for its way of cooking if that's what they mean by serving undercooked and raw meat and the unfriendly staff which has no sign of apology or grief. Better to not be so funkie by having their raw food. A complete no go and a huge disappointment don't let the funkie wall hangings and dialogues funk you into eating here.

Fresh orange juice 🥤 Cuisine is very traditional Indian Mumbai style street food Presentation is simple and sweet With very huge quantity provided of each platter Quality is jus amazing freshly grilled items and many more varieties and wide menu options of the menu. Service was really gentle and kind by them The serving was on point time to time Effective and efficient at the same time. So ,I just saw this restaurant on zomato while browsing and i read reviews about their food ,which was worth reading so I thought of giving it a try!! so finally first time i ordered ginger tea =10/10 and jeera khari biscuit which was ok ok for me in my second order i ordered 1.keema pav with pan roast (their famous dish)=yes definitely it was very different than other keema but worth having it ,i loved that👍👍👍👍👍😍 2.cold coffee=which i am very sure will be good if you order with ice cream and sugar (but mine contains nothing because i didn't wanted that way),but the glass size can be better. 3.Chicken frankie=Again an amazing thing to try 4.Maska bun=good so overall ,funkie town has become my one of my favorite restaurants to order from. The place has a small and decent setup with walls adorning the pictures of personalities of the gone by eras. For starters we had the hara Bhara kebab and Chilli cheese manchurian toast. Hara Bhara kabab was delicious with very soft melt in the mouth kebabs. Chilli paneer manchurian toast has oodles of melted cheese and paneer cubes with green Chilli but it lacked the spicy manchurian kick to it. But tastewise it was good if it was just Chilli paneer toast!!! For mains we had dal Makhani, paneer masala, some assorted breads and from the Parsi menu we had their veg Dhansak and veg pattice gravy. Okay starting from North Indian delicacies, Dal Makhani was sweet to my tastebuds and was very okayish. Paneer gravy was good to taste and went along with the breads alongside. Dhansak gravy lacked flavours and the vegetables was undone. Rice served alongside was fine though. Veg Pattice gravy was the star of the evening for me, bang on flavours, authentic and tasted delicious. For desserts we had brownie Sunday and falooda. Both the desserts were delectable. Service was good though serving staff could put up a lil smiling and welcoming attitude. I have a very mix feelings for this review as I have liked some of the dishes and some of the dishes were not upto the mark so have a very divided opinion. I would definitely be going back to the place again to try more of their delicacies to have my firm verdict of this place( as I am contemplating between 3 and 4). Along with these Parsi varieties, we also tried the Indian dishes like Paneer Tikka Masala was delicious and paneer cubes were well marinated with gravy, it was going well with laccha parantha. Dal Makhani was little sweet for my tastebuds. Hara Bhara Kababs were just amazing and the Kebabs would melt in your mouth Like Butter! Cafe Funkie is a beautiful cafe in Bay avenue, super well lit and beautifully decorated. As soon as you step in, you’re just taken to the whole vibe India and the beautiful cafes there. I ordered the things I’ve had already: - Kebab platter: Donot expect spicy kebabs, coz parai food is about fragrance and mild flavours. - Berry pulao: I was SOO surprised at how flavourful this was. The ones Ive had is just fragrant, but this tasted almost like a biryani! - Patra ni machi- WOW. Thats all I have to say. This is THE BEST dish here. No caps. Now coming to the most important & amazing thing 'The Food' , we have started with the scrumptious Chicken tikka cheese toast which was an amazing starter toast bread on small tikka chunks with onion tomatoes chilli and on topped with loaded cheese over there. Along with these they served 3 different type of chutneys which was enhanced the taste of food.😋😋😋 Chicken cutlets:- it was mind blowing super licking delicious cutlets every spices were perfect in it and the taste was lajawab😋😋😋 crispy from outside but soft from inside... Chicken shehzwan lollipops:- first time i had tried this it was an amazing taste , quantity was perfect, chicken was perfectly cooked and tenderize and all the spices were perfectly from inside. Last but not the least i finished my lunch on my cold coffee which was mind blowing salted caramel cold coffee superb thick consistency and sweetness was perfect.... I had a great time there and I would definitely visit this place again and would definitely recommend it to my friends and family members in Dubai.

A homely ambiance that takes pride in the Parsi Community and I loved how pretty the place is with a nostalgia of Bollywood stars up on the walls . I tried their Hara Paneer tikka and it was cooked to the right perfection . This was followed by Veg Cutlet Gravy which is a Parsi dish and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND‼ . I also tried their Hakka noodles and Lasooni dal with Chilli Garlic Naan. All their food is prepared fresh and the portion is worth the money 💰 . Also tried their Paneer Schezwan Frankie and was very delicious and filling . . The meal cannot end without trying their Bun Maska and Chai. You have to order this no matter what ‼ . Also a tip is to dip the bun in chai and enjoy. . The staff were helpful and courteous too. I truly enjoyed my experience here and cant wait to COME BACK AGAIN ❤ . Ordered lunch through Zomato today, the food arrived later than expected along with an uninvited visitor. Found an insect of some sort while eat the dal. I spoke to the restaurant and informed them of this and they told me that Zomato will refund the order, waiting to hear back from Zomato on the refund

Café Funkie Town – I simply love this place because it truly brings the beauty of India & Mumbai with ambiance and delicious food. I visited the business bay branch, which is a small and cozy outlet with prompt service. The menu is extensive and covers Parsi cuisine, vegetarian, non-vegetarian & vegan options.

My visit to the Cafe Funkie Town had been so amazing and memorable. I had been to this place over the weekend and no doubt the food is fantastic. I've never tried Parsi food and I was wondering how it would be. To be honest, I'm in love with the Parsi specialities served at the Cafe Funkie Town. Thank You Parsi Community for such wonderful delicacies that you guys have got. This place, as the name says, has a FUNKIE INTERIOR. 💛Vibrant coloured walls ❤Photos of Legendary Bollywood Stars 💛Old pictures of Mumbai's famous landmarks ❤Funky frames having catchy quotes at the counter 💛The Vintage Style wall clock ❤The Parsi Logic cards on the wall 💛Even the handwashing entrance area had mirror doors and crafted walls inside Talking about the food this place serves scrumptious food with good serving. We ordered a mix of Parsi and Mumbai's special dishes along with desserts and drinks. PAV BHAJI - The soul food of Mumbai and this is also my favourite. It was served hot with butter melting on top. Along with soft toasted buttered pavs and the garnish of onions and lemons... yuuuummmm ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BUTTER CHICKEN- another favourite dish of mine that had butter melting on top. I know I'm not counting calories because this was another flavourful dish at cafe Funkie Town. We had it with Garlic naans. It was a mildly spiced and slightly sweet. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ MUTTON BERRY PULLAO- I must say this was a STAR DISH OF THE MEAL.. YES THE BEST ONE. I loved every morsel of this Pullao because it had soft and tender mutton. Though it's called a Pullao, it was more like a good Masalay wali Biryani. I loved the taste. It had dried berries, fried nuts and good Masala. Tasted Awsome.. THIS BERRY PULLAO IS A SPECIALITY AT THE PARSI WEDDINGS. I guess I should attend a wedding soon for this Pullao if I dont visit the restaurant⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ AJWAINI FISH TIKKA- had boneless pieces of fish, marinated and grilled to perfection. It had good flavours. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE FRAPPE was my daughter's favourite. This was a mix of milk, strawberry, cream and graham crackers. Served chilled , topped with whipped cream, gram cracker crumbs and strawberry. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ LAGAN NU CUSTARD - This is a special dessert at Parsi Weddings as the name says Lagan ( marriage). This was like an egg pudding with the crunch of almonds that is baked. It wasn't a very sweet dessert. And for me this was a perfect taste. It was something similar to creme caramel.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ROYAL FALOODA- This was my kid's and husband's favourite. It was perfectly made. Chunks of KULFI, vermicelli, syrups and all that a perfect FALOODA can have... ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you are a big time foodie , do visit them for sure and you will fall in love with the wide array of dishes to choose from.

'Delicious range of cuisines' We had heard that Cafe Funkie Town serves Chinese and Indian food in addition to Parsi specialities, and so we visited them at their Bay Avenue branch, for lunch on a weekday. There is ample seating and the ambience is wonderful with a touch of Mumbai and Parsi culture. The staff wear masks and gloves and safety precautions are taken. Here is a review of what we tasted: 1. Beverages: The nutella mocha milkshake and cotton candy milkshake were both creamy and delicious. 2. Starters: Fish tikka: It was authentic, moist and delicious. Chicken galafi cheekh kebabs: They were wholesome and tasty. Drums of heaven: They were like heaven! The plump drumsticks were moist and sumptuous. 3. Main course: Veg. diwani handi: It was a nutritious mixed veg. dish and went well with the chilli garlic naan. Chicken salli boti: This authentic Parsi dish was delicious and is a must try. Mutton berry pulao: The berries were evident in the pulao and the mutton was tender and delicious. Chicken hakka noodles: They were just perfect! 4. Dessert: Lagan nu custard was a perfect ending to this extravagant meal. The crunchy nuts and the moist pudding were a perfect combination. The complimentary lagan nu aachar was very tasty too.The portions are large and filling too, so we took home the leftovers - the packaging was very good. They also offer takeaway and home delivery services. The staff is polite and friendly. The ambience is good and the interiors are beautiful. Free parking is available at the mall for a limited period of time. I had heard a lot about Cafe Funkie Town. I am glad I visited it. This lovely restaurant serves North Indian & Parsi Food. It’s a cosy joint with good service and yummy food. For starters I ordered chicken lollipop, fish tikka and dry chicken chilli which was done to perfection with no compromise on taste. For main course we ordered Hakka noodles and their Parsi speciality Prawn Patiyo. We enjoyed our main course. For dessert we ordered a falooda and I would say it’s a must have. Free parking for two hours convenient location and good food makes it a perfect place to dine
