This place is located in Al seef facing the corniche. It’s a very pretty view with a touch of arab vintage and modern feels. <br/>We ordered in some hot cappucinos and an almond croissant. The coffee was tasty and served in a plastic cup. A small suggestion : coffee could be served in a glass cup. <br/>It’s a nice place to chill with friends here during evenings or just grab a coffee on the go.

Order Arabic coffee and cake!! Both were really good. Beautiful place on the seef. Overlooking the sea and Deira skyline next to the abra. It's a delight to watch the view and enjoy the coffee. It's recommended for meetings. Would go back just to feel relaxed again. Friendly staff!

1 star for serving in takeaway cups. I requested barista to serve in a cup & she said I need to buy one?? I saw cups on other tables not sure why they cannot serve when we are dining in.

This is a upcoming place in Al Seef where we can sit and socialize in evenings over a cup of Coffee and much more. Nice interiors and even place is available outside to enjoy the cold climate. Unfortunately not much people around this place to enjoy. Hope it improves.<br/><br/>Had Expresso which was very nicely done and decorated.<br/><br/>Staff is very friendly and quick.

If you are a coffee or a chai lover, then you are in for a delight. Serving freshly baked croissants and freshly brewed coffee is Kava & Chai.<br/><br/>This cosy cafe is located in Al Seef and was one of the first few cafes to open when Al Seef opened up to the public. While the indoor seating area may be small, the outdoor seating is lovely and it is facing the creek.<br/><br/>We tried the croissants and it was delicious. It was not too buttery but it was light and the pistachio flakes added a good crunch. While Kava & Chai serves a good deal of baked goods, they are actually quite popular for their coffee. The coffee is smooth, fresh and strong enough to give you a boost.<br/><br/>This is an ideal place to catch up over a coffee and to unwind.<br/>

Its not everyday that Food-Guide discretely visits cafe during day time to finish his work. But this day was the beginning of the week and he had the opportunity to sip some Kava & Chai Latte by having cakes and croissant along the beautiful mesmerizing view of the lake. I was a bit disappointed with the latte as it was very sweet and the cake was very hard. But anyways the ambience, location and atmosphere was really worth trying out

This place is a paradise for people like me who love tea& coffee. The Al Seef outlet is particularly inviting with its quaint outdoor seating by the Creek. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. And the best part it is very easy on the pocket.<br/>What interests me about them is the option of brew that they offer for almost all of their hot beverages. Eg. Cold brew/ Aeropress/ Siphon etc. We had ordered V 60 Pourover, a Kava &Chai latte. Both ticked the boxes of authentic and well made coffee. The food options, however, are not that great and have room for improvement.<br/>This might not be relevant for a food platform review, but it is only pertinent to that apart from tea&coffee this homegrown speciality brand is committed to sustainable development. An extra thumbs up for that.<br/>Overall I would highly recommend this place for coffee and tea lovers.

Not too much bad of a view and my best recommendation would be the forest tea, it's so fruity with sour cherries, cranberries and so much more! I loved their red velvet cake too, just make sure you ask them to warm it for around 30 seconds to feel the icing.

Can't wait to go back already! With seating indoors and outdoors and easy to find in Al Seef, it's perfect to catch up on work, catch up with friends or simply grab decadent cakes and a quick sip!

A recent trip to Dubai's Museum of Illusions brought us to Kava & Chai for breakfast. <br/><br/>The venue is located in the new Al Seef development from Meraas and aesthetically the cafe is very pleasing with plenty of outdoor seating overlooking the Dubai Creek.<br/><br/>We have to commend the staff who were very friendly and welcoming and the drinks were really nice, especially the signature Kava & Chai (a mixture of coffee and chai). Food portions are very generous and offer good value for money and while we thoroughly enjoyed the salads and the cakes (don't miss the red velvet). We unfortunately found both the sandwiches we tried (the grilled chicken and orange blossom chicken) to be a little bland and flavourless.<br/><br/>A good spot for hot beverages and cake, but the sandwiches require a little more work.

I'm not impressed by the signature drink but that's just my taste as I prefer more of a coffee taste than Karak chai flavour.<br/>Cozy decor and friendly staff with different types of coffee at an affordable price. I'll go again and try one of their black coffees.

Absolutely bad experience, the drinks were tasteless, just bitter water, no taste of coffee pr milk or whatever, they were almost closing but that is never an excuse for a place like Kava and Chai to make lousy drinks!

This is a great place to enjoy your chai by the creek. With an outdoor seating option as well, the weather makes it a perfect reason to visit them.<br/>We had their karak chai, fudge brownie and gooey caramel cookie. The karak is perfect for all the tea lovers. The gooey caramel however wasn't gooey enough. I could barely taste the caramel in it. Wish they added more caramel in it instead, which should ooze out after heating it.

I’m a coffee lover and I’m all up for trying new coffee varieties! If you’re in the same boat, then you’ve got to try Kava & Chai that has an Arab influenced coffee culture and stands unique in its very own way. I loved the Middle Eastern Cappuccino (enjoyed that strong flavor), and if you’re a fan of chai+coffee then you should try the Kava Special that’s made with cardamom and other spices. Also, I loved how Turkish coffee here is made in a sand pot - truly unique!<br/>Food: The Salads feel very light and organic. I tried the Lentil Salad (it has a very indian spin to it with the dressing tasting like sweet/meethi chutney) and the Chicken+Avo Salad. I wish I tried more of the sandwiches, but most of them got over by the time I went and that was 3pm on a Saturday. However, I liked the Cheese Sandwich that had some herbs.<br/>Desserts: I wish I had a chance to try the Red Velvet Cake but that unfortunately wasn’t available when I went. I settled for the Carrot Cake that felt tad bit too sweet but still good and moist. The Date Cookie was a yummy one in a clean and healthy way - not overly greasy or too heavy. <br/>I’m 100% going back here for the coffee because its completely different from all other coffee shops.<br/>

Kava and chai is cafe that specializes in tea/coffee variations that are amusingly good. The cafe is located in center of Al-seef where the menu makes perfect sense. Especially when the temperature drops and winters are coming around, it is the best idea to visit Kava and chai and indulge in some serious tea/coffee time along with scrumptious salads or desserts. They even have wide variety of smoothies, detox blends and lemonades, including some rare combinations I’m sure you have never heard before.

We recently visited a dreamy little haven, Kava & Chai. Kava & Chai as the name suggests is about tea and coffee of course but it is so much more. It is UAE’s home-grown specialty coffeehouse. We visited their second location at Al Seef, situated on the waterfront of Dubai Creek. The new location follows the opening of Kava & Chai’s first location earlier this year at the American University of Sharjah. Have you ever been to a place where you just want to hang around relax and seep in the vibes? Kava & Chai is one such place that really won our heart.<br/>Kava & Chai at Al Seef is a destination spurting at the heart of Arabic culture and tradition. It offers a sense of heritage and nostalgia, where visitors get to enjoy a cup of Kava & Chai’s signature tea or coffee and absolutely scrumptious, delightful and healthy meals, desserts and dishes, on the water’s edge with stunning views of Dubai Creek.<br/>As Mr. Marat the manager at Kava & Chai Al Seef explained, it aims to tell the story of coffee through flavor and community. Not many people know that the word coffee is derived from “Qahwat-al-bun”, meaning the wine of the bean. I could sit there the whole day and come back again to sit, sip and eat while chilling out and staring at the gorgeous views.

Located at the heart of the heritage hub that is Al Seef, is a place which coffee and tea lovers will surely enjoy—Kava & Chai. A specialty coffee shop serving up freshly brewed coffee and tea, they also offer some healthy blends and bites, and pastries and desserts. Al Seef brings out a traditional look and feel and Kava and Chai perfectly match this feel being the most loved drinks in the UAE.<br/><br/>I was here one afternoon and enjoyed the food. It is a nice cafe on this stretch and served sandwiches and salads prepared and ready to be taken away. It was a crazy hot afternoon. The parking is a bit far away which was the only bit of a stretch for us in summer.<br/><br/>We had a a Mint Kofta wrap, a Chicken Mozzarella sandwich and a Chicken Avocado Salad. I loved the chicken in the sandwich as it was perfectly tender and soft. The mint kofta wrap and the salad a good meals individually.<br/><br/>We had a Carrot Cake and this was the best part of the meal. It was beyond perfect and a must try if you love carrot cakes.

We are always going to Kava & chai whenever we go at al seef. Its a cafe wherein they are serving different good quality of hot and cold drinks as well as sandwiches and cookies. I love there matcha frappe, not too much sweet. The ambiance is cozy. I feel peace whenever I came here. The staffs are friendly and always smiling and greeting. They give us also free taste of some of their products. I enjoyed my drink.

We tried the Kava and Chai Latte and it was very tasty and nice. There is plenty of space inside and outside as well. However, the ambience is not very warm and inviting so I will not choose this as a place to hang out with friends. The staff is helpful and nice.

Kava & Chai is hugely popular in emirate of Sharjah. I have been to their university city branch and it’s a perfect grab and go outlet. They recently have opened up at Al Seef Dubai. A larger branch, gorgeous views of creek. I can totally vision myself visiting here more in winters. Enjoying a great cuppa along with some snacks. On my recent visit to this branch I was forced to sit inside because it was so humid in the afternoon. However once inside I was enjoying my delicious detox drink called green veggie blend. Kale, green apples and baby spinach have never tasted so good!

It turned out that we had an amazing day during EID AL ADHA. Because this review that we went for was not for the sake of it alone. It gave way for the opportunity for us to be mesmerized with the breathtaking traditional built of the buildings. Kava and Chai is locally owned by an emarati and this branch in Al Seef, Dubai Creek is the newest one which opened last October 2017.

This is one place you will love for many reasons. Maybe Coffee and Tea is your Mojo, or you are one of them romantic person who loves the water bodies and creek views with mid size yachts and wooden Dhow cruising., or some one who loves a good quiet time with a book at hand. Then Al Seef is your area and Kava & Chai is one of them placed. Traditional mud hut look from out, and wooden finishes adds to the aesthetics. They have outdoor seating as well. Once you step in, you are set into a different time loop. Simple finishes inside but you will see their modern apparatus making the finest coffee. Partly Coffee lab as well :) and oh, they have a bicycle used as a set piece inside as well.

A fantastic cafe located at Al Seef.<br/>The interiors are cute and cozy. Loved the music played and also the staff is very jolly and helpful.<br/>They have a variety of coffees, teas and smoothies. Typical cafe menu with salads, cakes and sandwiches.<br/>For salads I tried the chicken and avocado salad.. It was delicious, fresh and the salad dressing was tasty. For sandwich I tried the orange chicken sandwich, loved how it was not dry. Fresh and healthy!<br/>For drinks we tried a few.. Tried the spicy anise coffee and Mango mint tea.. The mango mint tea was amazing, so perfect for the summers! I would order it over and over! The spicy anise cold coffee was something different too..<br/>In hot drinks we tried their special Kava & Chai drink - mix of both Kava and Chai.. Unique taste..best of both elements.. A must try.<br/>I also tried the ginger calm tea.. Very relaxing.<br/>Ending with desserts ofcourse, we got the carrot cinnamon Twist cake and red Velvet oreo. One a light dessert and the latter a heavy indulgence.<br/>Didn't realize time passing by, a perfect spot to hangout with your friends or your partner. The outside view of the Al Seef corniche is also beautiful! Definitely becoming a regular there!<br/>

Kava and Chai is another great reason to hit this masterpiece of a development by Meraas along Al Seef road. Nestled in the Bastakiya side, Kava & Chai is a quaint little café which has an indoor and an outdoor seating area with views of the sparkling Dubai Creek. I went here for my evening cuppa and it’s a great spot to catch up with friends, have a coffee or a healthy meal or get some work done (free WiFi available).<br/><br/>The staff are super friendly, the ambience, warm and inviting and for the prices, gotta say they are pretty generous with their portions. They have quite an extensive selection of teas and coffees from Karak Chai to Matcha latte to Gahwa coffee but their signature Kava and Chai latte is a must try with its unique blend of Arabic coffee and tea together with some spices. I tried their Green Veggie Blend from their mini detox menu and it was alright, just a bit too much cucumber than I would have liked but considering this is not a juice bar, wouldn’t place too much importance on this.<br/><br/>If you are looking to grab a wrap or a salad, they get sold out by evening so might be worth coming in for breakfast, lunch or brunch however but their dessert selection will always be waiting for you (vegan options included). Tried the Red Velvet Oreo cake and it was Ahhmazing!! Def worth the cheat day calories! Would revisit this place the next time I am in the area or looking for a quiet place to work without any parking issues.

When people ask me if I am a coffee person or a tea person, it is difficult to give them an answer. I love both coffee and tea, my morning is incomplete without coffee and my evening is dull without a cup of tea. So when I heard that, there is a speciality coffee house that serves great coffee and freshly brewed tea, I immediately planned a visit.

I discovered this small coffee shop by chance and I would say it’s one hidden gem in al seef. I tried the star anise shake cold coffee which was mind blowing. The taste is so special with so many blended spices. A must try! I also ordered the carrot cake which was ok. Definitely recommend to visit 👌

Al Seef road holds some lovely memories for me, and now with the revamp, it has become a great place to hang out and experience the old world charm. <br/><br/>Last Friday, we visited @kavaandchai for breakfast and discovered the little delights they serve. <br/><br/>Boasting of chic modern interiors and an outside seating area, @kavaandchai opens its doors at 8am and is an early riser's delight. The staff is forthcoming, happy to fill you up with facts and anecdotes. The portion sizes are generous. Different types of coffee are brewed in-house using their unique equipments and that's what makes this place different from your regular coffee brands. Each coffee is given time to brew slowly and develop its own unique taste.<br/><br/>Must try items:<br/><br/>- the Kava & Chai latte: It is their signature beverage which has unique taste of arabic tea and coffee mixed with spices. Yum!<br/><br/>- the Mango Mint smoothie: a cold, sugar-gree refreshing drink made with fresh organic mango, mint and milk! What's not to love?<br/><br/>- the Star Anise shake: yumminess tastes best when you drink it cold!

Enjoy the nice coffee beside the most beautiful creek of Dubai within Al Seef area managed by Meraas 🇦🇪 They also served chai and croissants, good to visit on evening.

Amazing drinks and super friendly environment! Baristas greet you with a smile at this hidden gem! The Detox drinks are perfect and a great twist to the usual drink options out there.

- Food was really refreshing especially this hot weather, I liked most the creamy and rich flavored matcha latte. Had a great afternoon at Kavaa & Chai<br/>Great ambiance too with outside seating.<br/>Located at the Al Seef, with plenty of parking space so no difficulty<br/><br/>They have a wide variety of drinks - hot or cold. They are super amazing.<br/>The ambiance has a mix of both the historic & the new techniques of tea/coffee making which is perfectly showcased<br/><br/>We had:-<br/>1) Cauliflower & quinoa Salad - Excellent blend of quinoa with rocket & spinach leaves. It comes along with a great dip. If you are a veggie & looking to have a great salad then I definitely recommend this.<br/><br/>2) Veg Halloumi Sandwich - Very well made & super delicious with veggies. I totally loved this sandwich<br/><br/>3) Kavaa & Chai Latte - Have never tried this before ever. This is the signature coffee here at Kavaa & chai. It tastes super yummy.<br/><br/>4) Oriental Mango Smoothie - Super refreshing minty drink with mango and other herbs. Was so tangy and so cool<br/><br/>5) Vegan cake - Cherry on the cake was this vegan cake without sugar. It just tasted heavenly.<br/>

This place is fantastic. The employees are super friendly, the food is tasty, the coffee is great and the view is beautiful. If you're on the run and need a serious pick me up, this spot should be your go-to.

Had karak here. Its was really good. They have this amazing outdoor space. Loved tea here. Its a perfect place to come with friends and enjoy the tea.

The most cozy & beautiful place that serves the best coffee in town. Found this hidden gem at al seef. They seeve speciality coffee & also have a variety of tea blends to choose from. I simply loved my iced latter with no sugar & honey instead. The barrista ean was very kind & explained the origins of coffee while preparing out beverages. They have some great stuff like the nutella brownie & the almond croissant to accompany your coffee. Try their delicious cakes too. The hibiscus iced tea was super delicious. Absolutely loved the vibes & stuff they serve a must visit.

Nice cozy chic place with well done interiors nd good exterior...with a beautiful view of creek. Perfect place if one is in a mood for tea and coffee.<br/>Loved their famous KARAK CHAI. 👌<br/>Would visit soon to try more from their menu.<br/><br/>

Absolutely love my cup of the Arabic Gahwa! it is very well brewed and the staff are super friendly! It's a great weekly stress buster along with a peaceful view. The place also smells of fresh raw coffee which makes this entire experience quite blissful.

I went here after hearing praise for their Karak chai from my bro in law. The chai indeed hit the right notes that any tea lover would appreciate. I ended up having 2 cups which is quite unusual. Will definitely visit again to try some other stuff on their menu.

Love love love this place so much!<br/>I ordered a ‘Kava and Chai Latte’ which is their signature beverage. This drink is a blend of chai and coffee. I’d say my 21 bucks were totally worth it. Kava and Chai is faced towards the sea. What could be better than sipping a cup of Chai Latte amidst such a beautiful atmosphere?<br/>Totally recommended!

Ordered one cafe latte. The coffee was featureless and it was refreshing. The place has good ambience with a welcoming staff. The pricing is also moderate.

There is a coffee shop on every side street nowadays in Dubai, but, on a whim, I pop into Kava & Chai at Al Seef. Something about the thoughtful design of their shopfront inspired confidence to take a chance on an unknown café.<br/><br/>With a stunning view, great coffee, focus on quality and customer`s experience, they have got a few extra flourishes: single origin specialty coffee beans, gourmet baked goods, delectable food range and signature drinks with oriental touch. The range of equipment was as well from a "Coffee Shop Owner`s Bucket list". Moreover, I learned from a friendly member of staff that their packaging is completely biodegradable as they were made of plants. That was quite unusual for Coffee shops in the region.

Kava & Chai is a great local coffee house that brings back coffee and tea (chai) to its Arabic roots in a modern global fusion. This is the first branch, I think there's another one in AUS. The location in Seef is great, right on the water, and in a new and unique development in Emirati traditional style.<br/><br/>The coffees, drinks, and foods are all with an 'Arabic' or regional twist, infusing the traditional with the new. I like the salads for a quick lunch and as I only like coffee without any added ingredients (black espresso or Americano) it is easy to judge the coffee for what it is and it's good. The cakes are also yum but look for the traditional mini 'baraze'' cookie with sesame.

Until the summer heat kicks in, Kava & Chai’s most valuable asset is the fact that you can sit outside and enjoy its spectacular waterfront view of Dubai’s iconic creek. And although this quaint little tea and coffeehouse is nothing more than its namesake, that’s all you really need on a lazy Friday afternoon. That view and the intoxicating aroma of freshly brewed coffee.

I needed a place to grab a coffee and blog. This place is a little unknown with decent coffee and service. Plus the wifi is great and the view fantastic to boot.

Very good location for the cafe and a very good view of the creek topped up with friendly staff. I guess that is where the accolades stop.<br/><br/>The place was newly opened so maybe I am being hasty in my judgement. The order took a bit of time to be provided. The Karak was cooked from a pre mix powder, not cooked like Karak. The cake and the pastry were fine.<br/><br/>It is really the price which is the true outlier here. Major outlier.

If you want to enjoy the weather and sip a good cup of coffee which is a mixed with Chai (which is their menu special) this is the place to be. Slightly on the pricey side, but the ambience is just for the drizzly climate.

Stylishly decorated interior and exterior will surely leave the good impression to those who visit this place. You can enjoy a cup of coffee just in front of Dubai Creek. The way they serve and decorate the coffee and chai is just amazing.

We ordered karak tea which in my opinion was super pricey at AED 15 for a normal cup. Also ordered the nutella brownie which felt dry and not fresh. However their cappuccino frappe was really nice, as was the carrot cake. A one time visit perhaps for the novelty factor or if you have foreign guests over due to the location

Trying for first time...liked their KaVa n ChAi Latte. But Star Anise milkshake was not worth trying as did not have the taste...was more like cold coffee..Mannmonee

On a lovely evening after lunch at sul Fuime at seef , decided to have karak chai with my daughter enjoying the weather we ordered Karak chai which satisfied my craving as im very selective about my tea flavor. My daughter ordered an oreo red velvet cake, which was also really good. Totally recommend for lovely evenings.<br/>Imareebaahmed

We came across this cozy Café along Al Seef Dubai, and thought why not give this place a try, since we were in the mood to drink and considering how tired we were from all the walking, resting our feet was the way to go! <br/><br/>This Café has a concise menu and they offer scrumptious Bakery eats. If you're the experimental kind, you can also make your own coffee drip which looks so 'Chemistry Cool'. What we noticed is how different the exterior of the Café is to the interior, but all in a good way. Along with your Hot beverages they serve petite Biscuits that are so yumm. <br/><br/>We settled on:<br/><br/>- 'Matcha Frappe' : I ordered a cold version as I enjoy cold beverages even during winters, and it was good. I've never had Matcha(generally) before and the first impression wasn't bad at all. The whipped cream on the top made it a delight to sip as it was creamy. <br/><br/>- 'Cappuccino' : Your usual winter essentials that you simply don't mind going for. Good amounts of Coffee and Cream used and the delicate design on the top is appealing. <br/><br/>This Café has the 'modern-old' vibes as you can see once you enter and the best part is that you can zone-off whilst looking into the wintery Creeks of Dubai.

Kava & Chai is one of the few open (coffee) shops at the Al Seef complex. The place looked simple and quaint but the view of the Dubai Creek at an arm's length makes it a prime spot for dhow and people watching. That being said, the AED 20 tag on their signature Kava and Chai Latte must include the cost of the view, so don't be forced to squeeze yourself in the intimate dining area and do sit al fresco. The Kava and Chai Latte was nice when I started but lost the strength after about a fourth of the cup; I expected its taste to be much stronger. A little quirk: I wish they used a glass instead of a paper cup. The design was cute, though.

Nice interiors and exteriors. The coffee and tea looked good but the taste is just ok. Views are nice from this place. Service and food options are good too.

lovely place - for winters. good selection of tea and coffee. We had the orange infused iced drip coffee and the lemon ice tea, both were flavourful and made with fresh ingredients, cakes look good too. above average flavour and price but with lovely ambience and views.
