It is difficult to specify what it is exactly because the whole experience with this hotel was appalling. From charging us for a dinner we never ordered (because we decided not to eat at the hotel due to the poor service and overall quality) to the staff continuously pounding on my room door demanding I pay them for a couple of beers I had ordered from their poor pool bar and requested to be added to my room bill (the beers took 15 minutes to arrive and arrived warm and flat), to the completely inefficient and unqualified team of losers running this place...who don't give the slightest impression that they ever worked in a UAE hotel, ever. I can only hope that things have improved since my visit...

Best place to chill while having a hot coffee or few glasses of margarita or mojitos with some fries and mixed nuts especially when seating outside at their terrace overlooking the very nice architecture of Meydan hotel and horse race track ... my kinda escape place when feeling down or just want to sit back and relax 😉

Best place with great view to hang out in comfortable seats and Great service plus it is a family friendly.<br/>Shisha was the best I had in Dubai, try the water melon flavour it is a blessing, ask for Ahmed he will arrange it for you the way you like it<br/>They do have a kids playing area till 6 PM<br/>I will definitely be back again <br/>

Terrible terrible service. We came into the place and we had asked for a table for two. They responded with two garden chairs and a tiny side table. No one else was seated on anything other than couches. After complaining, the Manager immediately arranged a proper seating for us but we were completely ticked off with the other staff's poor customer service that we left immediately.<br/>

The hardest thing is finding this place otherwise its a nice lounge in a good hotel. I went to have high tea for two. Well the scones are little too dense but the other small sandwiches the tuna, egg beef and chicken was decadent and flavorful. The dessert the walnut cakes were nice the fruit cake was ok didn't fancy it too much, but didn't like the lemon meringue it was too sour and the chocolate cake is way too chocolaty for my taste. But loved the experience and the view

Maybe it was the wonderful weather, but evenings in Dubai should be spent at the terrace at the meydan hotel. I'm smitten. <br/>Normal coffee's, normal desserts, but ambience was fantastic. Not overly expensive, and fantastic service. It's a hidden gem, a very small crowd on both evenings that I was there.

Whenever someone mentions the words afternoon tea, the recommendations come flooding in for all the hotels down on the sea front. Not once have I received a recommendation to attend The Meydan Hotel for afternoon tea. Today we headed over to The Medyan Hotel, which trust me is a 20 minute drive from new Dubai not a trek into the desert as I have heard it described by others. The word Meydan translates into “meeting place”, today we met up there and enjoyed the delights of afternoon tea with some stunning views.<br/><br/>It was the last day of the Eid holidays and time to indulge ourselves with some sweetness. Craving a cream scone and jam, myself and a couple of friends along with two sugar hungry kids headed up to The Meydan Hotel to try their afternoon tea. I don’t have a particular sweet tooth but do occasionally enjoy an afternoon tea. Before settling ourselves down into the air-conditioned Millennium Lounge we took a little look outside at the amazing views of the race course and its mile long grandstand, absolutely fabulous views of the entire race course. Photographs taken, we were ready to order afternoon tea. The afternoon tea is for two and arrives on a beautiful round display shelf crammed with delicious mini sandwiches, tarts, creme brulee, and assorted cakes. If that isn’t enough there are two scones each with jam and cream, along with a choice of assorted teas or coffees.
