Went to this place for breakfast as I had heard a lot about them .. but we were disappointed .. we ordered the avacode toast, the bread was so hard and stale. When they changed, it was so salty. Second we ordered the French toast, it was only average .. it is a fav cafe of many but we went there for breakfast on my husband’s birthday from all the way to JLT. It was very disappointing!!! May be you should not visit them at around 9 am as we visited

We ordered the sweet potato fries and a mango passion fruit mock tail. We had specifically requested for no ice to be added to the mock tail and yet it was served filled with ice. When we mentioned this to the server, she was not even apologetic about it and only smiled. I thought the service was poor while the fries and the mocktail was okay.

By far one of the best burgers I have had . I am not usually a burger fan but they appeared to have changed their menu and I took a chance on this beauty. I had the Bronte Burger ,sweet potatoe fried with clean green juice . Total damage 100.80AED. I could have done with a bit more fried though .

Located close to the cinemas at the first floor they provided a nice selection of coffee, I went for the Long Black, a V60 and a Flat White, all impeccable presentation and time to deliver. The cake and pastry selection did not reach expectations. I have to go back and try again. Long black was average, the flat white was delivered with a good creamy top. The V60 took longer as expected,. but it covered the rest of the demands for coffee that day.

This place has a high quality hipsterish breakfast & lunch menu. I try to eat there whenever I go to MoE. However they removed some of the food that they had in their previous menu (bibimbap, also changed the recipe of the veal benedict) they are still good, but i’m missing the old ones :)

So I was actually very in love with the Jerk Chicken they served before and it was one of my favorite dishes. Plus the aioli sauce with the sweet potato fries is amazing. But recently I went back to have the same dish again but they used a new recipe that incorporates different flavors (I believe it was mango) and I honestly was not a big fan and preferred the old version more.

Great coffee place with a good variety of different coffees. Some coffee blends are quite new and unique. The food menu could improve a bit though. I feel there is not much variety in terms of food. The menu seems very limited. I ordered the chicken panko burger and it was good. It would be a good idea to add more options to choose from.

After the long awaited arrival of the new Vegan dishes ( 6 months) , I was sooooo disappointed with what was offered. I opted for the Black Bean burger, It was frankly disgusting, We waited 20 minutes and my burger was cold. We sent it back again and it came back and was a bit hotter. It fell apart, was dry and it was tasteless. The Kale leaves were very big and tough, the cook, had smeared a bit of advocado on the bun and that was it. It was truly the worst burger I had ever had. I didn't eat it and I informed the waitress and she said " oh" . No service recovery at all. Left the restaurant hungry. The place was empty, now I know why

These were some great evening working hours at Common Grounds!<br/>I really enjoyed my banana cake and cafe latte. I would have just preferred not having nuts in the cake. Wow! Positively surprised and impressed with the quality and taste of the food there. Went there for breakfast and had the avocado on sourdough with 2 runny poached to start with. The bread was delicious, and the ricotta was a great original touch to soften the flavor. Then followed-up with pancakes with bananas and spiced maple syrup which were some of the best I've had in Dubai. The pancakes were sooo fluffy! And to add to that, really friendly waiters/waitresses make you feel at home. Definitely recommended.

What a power packed restaurant!<br/><br/>Almost hidden from the hustle and bustle of the mall, Common Grounds is located in a small corner near the entrance of Sheraton Hotel. While you may think this will give the cafe a bit of seclusion, it is quite far from that. The restaurant is far too popular and packed during lunch hours to be a serene cafe.<br/><br/>We decided to stop by for lunch before going for a stroll in the mall. The ambience is definitely inviting. The decor is bright and modernistic with a trendy twist. It also has a lot of greenery around the cafe which gives it an open space vibe. In terms of spacing, the cafe is a bit small hence the seating arrangement seems a bit stuffy.<br/><br/>However, the food was an absolute delight. We tried the Acai Bowl and the classic Eggs Benedict. Although these dishes are popular everywhere and have limited variations in taste, These dishes at Common Grounds were absolutely full of flavour. The Acai Bowl consisted of bananas, strawberry, dragon fruit, cacao, dried raspberry and passion fruit. Every bite was a pop of freshness. The eggs benedict was cooked as requested (medium). The yolk mixed well with the warm and creamy Hollandaise sauce and it was scrumptious.<br/><br/>We also tried their fresh orange juice and cappuccino. As you guessed, the fresh orange juice was indeed fresh and rejuvenating. The cappuccino was also quite good. It was smooth and strong as well.<br/><br/>The service is quick and the servers were a mix of polite and curt. The pricing is fair and the portion size is ideal.<br/><br/>Overall a great place to visit.

If you have a thing for speciality coffee and healthy plate of food along with great service and affordable pocket pinch then this place is for you. Located in the Mall of Emirates, we really love their Pour over and Aeropress. The ambience is relaxed and casual. I remember ordering a Korean Bibimbap and Skewered lamb the last time I went. We came for breakfast and the food didn't disappoint us. Mushroom on a sourdough had a surprisingly nice and distinctive taste! Service was in sync with their prices so all good on this side.<br/>The whole nice experience was totally ruined by bad choice of ambient music. Through the whole time our ears were attacked by artists screaming from the very bottom of their lungs, at a full volume. We quickly finished the breakfast and sprinted away from the place.<br/>To sum up, get some earplugs and enjoy great breakfast at this venue.

I used to drive all the way from Bur Dubai to MOE for that one of a kind, un-replicable Mocha. <br/>Not anymore. <br/>Bubbles have replaced the silky foam, and dirty-socks-like liquid has taken the place of that unctuous smooth chocolaty barely sweet coffee. <br/>It is the end of an era. <br/>Common Grounds has fallen to the Ground (with no connotation of coffee) to become merely Common.

The Huntr thinks that this is Dubai foodie entrepreneur duo – Tom & Serg’s – best work. We love to visit this Mall of the Emirates cafe for a late, leisurely weekend breakfast. We also love that we can walk away with a takeaway sourdough loaf, and the coffee is next level good. This place gets busy and sometimes the service can be a bit slow, but nonetheless, it’s one of Dubai’s best homegrown cafes and therefore a no-brainer addition to this special guide.

Guys when you ask for bread this restaurant you have to pay its not free...! First time we had lunch this restaurant I ordered one soup they give with one sliced bread, then I ask one off staff for one more slices bread, after I ask bill then I sawed they’re charged me 7,62 drhms for just one slices bread, so bad and funny... it’s not about the price but the consumer should know the price before he gets charged! Warning: prawn tacos are unbelievably salty.

Good spot to take a bite while you are doing your things in the MOE. The menu has interesting choices and healthy also, that must be tried, but funny thing with the staff. First of all some of them don’t know the menu if u have any questions, I tried to order a simple juice that wasn’t in the menu and they could do it easily, but they didn’t want that’s very wrong to a place. In the end they did it after a talk with the management, but they told me next time to not order cause they will not do it for me again :) also wrong in my point of view. Probably was not a good day for them!

I am rarely disappointed by the food at any Bull & Roo establishment. Today was no exception. However, I wanted to point at some rather unusual irregularities in service. <br/>1) while our group of four were seated within minutes of arriving, we didn’t receive a menu until we asked for it twice - 10 minutes after we were seated<br/>2) the server (no inclination to name and shame) was back in less than 3 minutes to take our order, was visibly upset when we asked for a few minutes to decide, didn’t offer any assistance along the process<br/>3) when we ordered sparkling water, the server gave us three glasses for four people - no ice and lemon. My friend asked for ice and ‘lime’ (mistakenly) and the server curtly corrected him that it was ‘lemon, not lime’ that he was looking for. <br/><br/>Where’s the graciousness gone these days? And service with a smile? Never mind. She’s lost her tip already; and next time we will go over to Brunswick when we want this food.

I think most of Bull & Roo’s eateries need no introduction (e.g. Tom & Serg, the Sum of Us, etc...) so I’ll jump right into reviewing their food...<br/><br/>1) Greens and Grains Salad - with or without roast lamb (I always get it without goji berries because they are too hard to chew, and I sub the raw broccoli for kale - my most favourite dish at CG! The dressing is amazing!)<br/><br/>2) Sweet Potato Fries (I get this at all of Bull & Roo’s eateries...never lets me down mmmmm)<br/><br/>3) Gluten Free Brownie (I didn’t like it at first but after the second, third..fifth...it grew on me. I like it best warmed up)<br/><br/>4) Mekong Chicken Burger (don’t like the combination of flavours, not as interesting as it sounds, chicken was dry, hard pass)<br/><br/>5) Katsu Chicken Bowl (not a fan of the coconut sticky rice flavour pairing with the pickled carrot and chicken cutlet, and the chicken was dry again. Common Grounds was a refuge from the predictable chain-mall food that plagues MOE. Worse again, going out to eat in Dubai can be very hit and miss. I was left with the impression that you are either constantly being served try-hard dishes which are usually about OK or pleasantly surprising. Additionally, service can be obsequious as servers are probably afraid of losing their jobs. It is hard to find a place that just wants to serve food simply, classic dishes and just do them well. Something close to gastrocafe or good pub food. Common Grounds was as close to having an honest easy eating experience. And it is in a mall albeit you have to know it is there because it is tucked away next to a sport shop.<br/><br/>We used to come here very frequently especially for their prawn tacos, spicy chicken, pan-fried salmon with quinoa and the apple strudel with ice cream. The food here was simple and restrained but tasty. I enjoyed that I did not feel like I was eating a lot of bread, fat or something just turned thoughtlessly.<br/><br/>Things have changed recently with Common Grounds and by recently I mean over the last 6 months. The good is not cooked with the same attention to detail, the prawn tacos were soggy the last time I went, fish is cooked - I could feel the last bastion of MOE either falling victim to its success or suffering from a change of chef in the kitchen. <br/><br/>I would like Common Grounds to refocus on the attention to detail that it used to have as the dishes are just being turned out now with speed and not with excellence. It's a shame.<br/><br/>One thing has not changed: the service is still great, the servers are still personable and attentive without sucking up to you or ruthlessly trying to upsell which I really appreciate - thank you!

Yes ouch especially for such a small sized coffee) and the Acia Bowl (AED55). I was not impressed by the coffee it had a slightly bitter taste and not worth the AED24 I paid for it. The acia bowl was good. I do wish there were more dairy free options though. Of course they had the standard poached eggs on avo toast which I saw someone order and it looked nice. My friend had the hummus bowl which she also liked

The coffeeshop has the Aussie style, good vibes inside Mall of the Emirates, friendly barista. Another nice boutique cafe and belong to the specialty coffee in town, It's has nice atmosphere and huge place to seat.

I came here for a Friday breakfast, the place was packed but we didn’t have to wait too long for a table. The staff are friendly and very professional, the menu is rich with options and if you can’t find what you like they have a special weekend menu that changes every month. The service was quick, food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Drinks are also great. They offer great healthy food options too. It’s kid friendly and I highly recommend it.

The atmosphere is good and food is even better! Such a great experience of vegan and vegetarian dishes that’s definitely value for money and worth returning to! I’d recommend trying the Pan Fried Salmon- such a lovely combination of mango and salmon along with quinoa.

If you know tom n serg and sum of us then you cannot miss common grounds. Located in the new extension of mall of the emirates. They are offering vegan iftar so for all the vegan lovers. Check my pictures for the menu. The food was good. But i think they can enhance the taste more. The presentation is great. Their breakfast tacos is what I also go back to it’s delicious. What I don’t like is when you already spend quite a bit on the total bill and they tell you to pay for extra tea bag when they already charge AED20 for a cup of tea.... that’s just wrong! Loosing a customer Over The cost of tea bag ????? I find that very strange....

Common Grounds gets a solid 5 from me for two reasons, they are mentioned in the pictures. 📸✌🏽I have been smashing this spot at least twice a month in the last eight months or so thanks to a friend’s recommendation. A bit on the steeper side (for 2 prawn tacos in my opinion) at 62 dhs but clean, fresh, light and extremely delicious. (Consistency is 🔑 and the sauce is on point) Find most of their coffee alright but syphon stands out to be my new favorite.

For the coffee lovers, they definitely serve some great coffee here and the barista has some proper latte art skills!! The service is really good! After enjoying a great coffee, I went for a smoothie with berries, açaí and some other stuff which was also very good. The sweet was great, it was very pure in taste and a healthy alternative to cake (dark chocolate and pure coconut inside).

I have been to Common Grounds a few times, as I like that their food is generally fresh and leans towards healthy eating.<br/>This time I ordered poached eggs on sweet potato and beetroot hash brown. I was choosing to have the hollandaise sauce on the side as I am slightly fussy with the sauce. The dish was nice, but the sauce was a bit too thick and didn't have much flavor, so I was happy that it wasn't on top of otherwise a nice breakfast dish.<br/>I ordered a cup of tea, which was served in a glass rather than a pot, which I am not fond of, especially when the price of the tea was over 20 dhs.<br/>Overall the food and drinks are good, but I feel the prices of the hot drinks are too high, especially as they are generally small.

The ambiance is really nice and clean. Some of the staff are very friendly and helpful. I was glad to see vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. However I got quite disappointed with the “guacamole trolley”. The waiter could have taken some time to explain to us how it works and when he finished preparing our guacamole he left without leaving or offering us any nachos/toast or anything to have the guacamole with. My friend and I were staring at the bowl on our table wondering how we were supposed to eat that. We called a waiter and she replied “that’s what you are paying for”. We had to ask to have at least some bread which was expensive. The menu should specify better these details. In addition, I had a mushroom risotto and it was average. Not worth the price I paid for it.

Located in the Mall of the Emirates this place gives the feeling if a healthy organic outlet, serving freshly squeezed juices and drinks. The intetior design is nice but could be improved on many levels, specially the uncomfortable wooden chairs and benches. Food menu is minimalist. I tried the Quinoa green salad, it is delicious, but i think that the portion is small considering the size. No complementary bread. Waiters are friendly but on a rush. Prices are a bit high for such a place.

Very good food, lots of healthy options. Breakfast till 4pm! Some dishes with a vietnamese twist 😋 Big salads, very good sweet potato fries, fresh juices 100% natural, no added sugar. Interesting coffee options, very tasty. Yummy bowls. First time I tried it as the waiting time at Din Tai Fung was too long. Now I regularly head straight for Common Grounds, with a craving for one of their dishes 😛

This place SHINES for it's Acai Bowl. So yummy, so refreshing, so satisfying it's unreal. Another noteworthy discovery in the sides menu was that of Sweet Potato Fries. Full marks on taste and presentation.<br/><br/>Re mains, I'm yet to come across a dish I've thoroughly enjoyed. The Veg Rice Paper Rolls were good but somehow lacked the wow factor. The Wild Mushroom Risotto was average and low on seasoning.

This is my usual hangout when I’m at the mall for some down time. Their flat white is one of the best in town. They also do great sweet potato fries with aioli, sandwiches and salads as well as breakfast items. Laidback ambience, friendly staff and quality food with fresh ingredients is what draws me here.

So I ordered Jerk Chicken and it was amazing. Nice presentation, friendly service and ambience was great. Did not order coffee but friends ordered and they said coffee was delicate. I ordered salted caramel milkshake and it was good too. Will definetely come back to try other food!

Very nice place nice clean ambiance. We ordered the jerk chicken which was outstanding and the common Cuban reubens sandwich, which was mediocre at best. I think they should consider changing the bread for it and put chips instead of salad. But I would definetly recommend this place and I will be back again to try other dishes

OK-ish food but hideously overpriced for what you are getting!<br/><br/>I ate there for breakfast on a Friday. Ordered the buckwheat waffle. Just one small sad waffle with cream on top and bits of coconut ( chopped into tiny pieces with the hairy crust still on it so you can't even eat the coconut or bite into it as it's too hard and too small to get your teeth into - waste!). The waffle cost about 50 something dirhams. Ridiculous! <br/><br/>They don't have decaf coffee either. Letdown. <br/><br/>Decided to try the place for lunch one day. Ordered the burger. It was probably 90% bread bun, sauce, tomato and lettuce and only 10% burger. The patty was pathetically tiny. Again, waste of money. <br/><br/>I won't give this place a third try. It's too pretentious and overpriced. I leave with a dented wallet and an empty tummy.

I went at opening time so it was really quiet like I like my mornings. Staff are so friendly and welcoming; they all seemed in a good mood and smiling (the best type of service) I ordered a green tea which was more expensive than the latte I ordered later. Latte for 17DHS and their tea for 23DHS. <br/>For coffee addicts and non addicts: their latte is a blessing. <br/>

I've had the Acai bowl and Kashmiri Florentine over here. the beetroot in the latter was finely cooked served with organic eggs. Acai is something I was enlightened about by a Venezuelan who was apparently traveling along with me that day. Being an Indian, trying out something out of your culture, like Acai, a Brazilian dish, is an exciting experience and common grounds fulfilled it with satisfaction. I also had a tandoori salmon, an Indian finish!

Excellent place to try some gourmet coffee. I tried their long and black coffee which was strong and had a good fresh brew aroma to it. Will definitely come back to check out their other coffees.

Good presentation very good service but the content (food) lacks depth. Opted for Katsu chicken which promised to serve a Jap styled food but tasted a hotch potch. Sticky rice was a basmati rice. tangiest kimchi ever tried ruined the taste of the main dish. Coconut flavor was over powering ! I mean why would you not follow a simple Katsu style for example the way Wagamama serves ? The “giant” avocado based kale, green apple, honey infused drink tasted like extra shot of lemon ! Guys didn’t expect this today :(
