I visited Bussola a while ago for dinner. I was pleased with the warm décor and the great welcoming staff - kudos for that. The place is a real 5 stars when it comes to service and food quality. I also start with a burrata at an Italian place, through which I guestimate how good the remainder of the menu will be. Burrata was an absolute delight! I went ahead and tried the Il gran tagliere (cold cuts), the Filetto di manzo (great beef fillet, tender and melts as you would expect it), and end it with a perfectly done Tiramisu. The place is expensive, but pricing is fair for the high end service and food. Highly recommended for your fine dining!

Tried the Pizzeria, although I liked the dual dining style of pizzeria and fine but prior information of the same would've been nicer. Ordered the La Bussola Pizza and the Pollo Pizza, both of them were super delicious, great portions and pricing wasn't bad either. The starters we had were Bruschetta, which I didn't really like much since it just overloaded with tomatoes, the Bresola Salad was super nice and in good quantity. The Tiramisu was the dessert we had and it was the best Tiramisu I've ever had. I'm not a sweet tooth but I gobbled the whole cup in minutes. The service was good, the restaurant could use more lighting, I felt the Pizzeria was more dimly lit than the fine dining, but that was the only thing that needs to be looked into. Also loved the fact they have a local water option rather than forcing you to buy expensuve fancy water. Highly recommend this place.

We are staying in hotel for staycation over the weekend with my family We came to Bussola, kids ordered a pizza and penne paste Pasta was served with long hair on the top When i called the waiter to inform him about he acted very normally then i called him again to understand and his answer was shocking: “ So what sir it is just a hair on the pasta and this is normal”!!!!!!!! In the very basic restaurant or city in the world i would never ever expect such an answer Shame

This was my absolute favorite in Dubai for Pizza, I really never ate Pizza anywhere else for maybe 10 years. Sadly the place has taken a turn for the worse with greasy Pizza and mediocre service. I don't know why, but I'm obviously not the only one that noticed as all of a sudden there is plenty of tables available at the same time when I could never get in a few years back, so there is clearly something that messed up their structure. I will go back, but to be honest I will give it a few months and hope they will get back to their usual selves again. Good luck and I hope I will change my rating after the next visit

If you are looking for authentic Italian pizza then Bussola Pizzeria is definitely one of the places to begin Dubai. me and my husband went for a quite dinner and met with all our expectations. the pizzas dough is not very thick glowing you to experience the toppings all the way more. L'ARLECCHINA and LA CONTADINOTA are my favorites and if you are in the mood for a vegetarian pizza then LA SORRENTINA will staisfy your soul. Must mention the view. as you sit in the almost open roof restaurant over looking the capturing view of the Palm Atlantis breezy air will fill your heart and make the experience all the way more enhanced. Mr. Sanjay was taking care of us and was very humble and hospitable. People like him are an asset to the company. Would love to go there again in near future.

Great burrata salad. Good quality. The fried calamari was ok. Boys had margarita pizza- what else? 😐 The pizzas were Diavola and Andalucia. We quite liked the latter though the onions were a lot. Chose to eat just enough and take away for dinner and keep space for dessert. Whole family shared the chocolate fondant. One day someone will beat chili’s in my books. One day. Till then make mine a molten. We were sat in the pizzeria and the weather was great. Overall great Friday lunch with family.

First time visiting Bussola, wished we visited sooner but better late then never. This place is lovely, the restaurant looks beautiful the staff are so welcoming and their service is great. They have some nice starters, the seafood starter was too large but very tasty. We all ordered different mains so we could try each others and they were all delicious especially the chitarra pasta with cherry tomatoes. One of the dishes came with seafood and once we got into a prawn we noticed it wasn't cooked so we straight away gave it back this was the only disappointment, they did take this dish off the bill which was good. Other than that everything was fantastic, really enjoyed going here and we will be back soon. FYI - if you book a table upstairs they only serve pizzas and downstairs is pastas and meat dishes, we don't personally like the fact its like that as we would have loved to have tried the pizza and not everyone in my family like cheese so it would have been good to have the option to choose. And also on Zomato they only show the upstairs menu and not downstairs so make sure you go to Bussolas website to get the menu.

New pizza menu is a bit disappointing. Apparently they changed it two weeks ago. Not one pizza with olives anymore and my favorite, as well as an Italian classic, the Quatro Staggioni is gone. I think luigia is back to no1 for pizzas. Kids menu is still good especially the mushroom risotto.

Good location. Lovely staff. Accommodated and arranged for out of menu preferences e.g. they made fresh olive paste to have with starter bread when I inquired about it being available. Menu barely has any chicken options but otherwise a lot of other variety was available. Really enjoyed the chefs special slow cooked chicken and apple strudel. Quite expensive but worth it for a one off special occasion. Menu somewhat different from the one posted on zomato.

Very nice ambience but service is too slow and portions are very small for the price. However the seating is huge and there is an amazing open air area. Food is tasty otherwise. We went there for a team dinner and were 10 people. The wine was perfect but took a lot of time to be served. There was a lot of variety as I ordered some fried seafood platter of calamari, shrimps, fish, squid etc. And a vanilla truffle pasta. I must say that the truffle pasta was the highlight dish for me. Loved it but too expensive. P.S. they also serve pizza but you have to go to the first floor.

I think the pizza in Bussola pizzeria is one of the best pizzas in Dubai, I mean it is one of the closest to real Italian pizza. The reastuarant dishes are also good, especially the burrata! The location is wonderful, staff is ok. Value for money is also good.

Fantastic food, ambience, views and service! Very accommodating to allergies as they serve gluten free pasta and bread so I did not miss out on the bruschetta or even the olive oil and balsamic vinegar bit! The tuna carpaccio was so refreshing and had a mix of berries on top which added a nice kick to it. For the main course, I had gluten free penne with prawns and surprisingly enough it was not dry as most of the restaurants serve it. Didn’t get the chance to take a photo of everything as I was too hungry but here’s one of my pasta dish. I had lemon sorbet for dessert. The quantity is pretty good and filling. Totally worth the value. Hope this level of quality and service never get bad, Amen!

Great food, lovely pasta's. Starters are also nice and there is a wide choice of food. Staff is very helpful. We couldn't get our head around ordering a nice wine. The majority of the white wines under 500 dirham are very light wines, which means if you prefer to drink a more fatty chardonnay, you would have to spend 650 / 800 dirhams, which goes a bit against my will since the bottles of wine are valued at less than 10% of the price. Advice for the restaurant would be to add some more choices of 'affordable' wines.

I came here for a birthday dinner, the ambiance and decor is beautiful and it only had a few other diners which made the experience better, service was fast. I tried the Burrata which lacked a "pop" of sorts in terms of flavor and the Mushroom risotto was less than average, i would visit again to try the different dishes but the waiter ruined the whole surprise when he told my friend about the surprise birthday cake, which I've never seen happen at any other restaurants of the same quality.

If you want to get a truly Italian Pizza with authentic drinks, this place is wonderful. The Westin Hotel in Marina is brilliant. Located in the heart of the Marina, the ambience and vibe here is nothing short of mesmerising. This restaurant is perfect to take someone to impress. The service received was excellent. We felt welcomed from the off. The food was exceptional. I cannot tell you how delicious the food is here. Although it was pricey, I feel the price is justified. I certainly recommend this hotel and gem of a restaurant to anyone. Will for sure return in future.

Have you ever eaten Calamari Pizza;-) I had no idea but one exist (I have even found a picture to explain what I mean by that)!!! Ordering in Bussola seafood pizza my expectation was a variety of seafood, but never expected so much calamari and minuscule of other species - indeed calamari pizza, but should it cost you as full seafood one? My best experience there was/is burrata pizza. Otherwise, one may have a very good dinner or lunch.

Would not recommend, the food and the service simply does not live up to the price. Pizza is only served to the tables upstairs, so I had the choice of staying with my family downstairs or going upstairs to eat a pizza on my own! A soup starter was very good but the main course a garlic pasta with garlic sprinkled with garlic. I wouldn't recommend this place for a first date lol.

The venue of Bussola is quite nice, facing the pool of the hotel and the sea. I went to try the Italian aperitivo that many people recommend me since I lived few years in Milan and I can say this one in Bussola is just a bad replica of the real italian one. The food served is basically just stuffed breads and focaccias, there was one pasta like lasagna cut in cubes that was cold like a popsicle. I would not recommend it to any one. The only positive side is that the food is free and you pay only for your drink.

I was there for a late business lunch during weekday, so it was not very crowded and we enjoyed outside with a soft breeze and nice view. I ordered daily set lunch menu for the day which you can choose one starter and one main course (AED140). As starter I chose parmigiana de melanzane which is a dish of eggplant, cheese and tomato sauce baked looking like lasagna in shape. It tasted great and was already very filling like a main course. My main course was risotto pomodoro with goat cheese. The sauce and flavor was just perfect and the texture of risotto was perfectly italian aldente. Service was very professional as well.

Its nice setting and atmosphere. Food is above average in Dubai standards for Italian cousine. We started with Burrata, Bruschetta and Beef Carpaccio. I wasn’t a big fan of the Bruschetta , but Carpaccio was one of the best I had in Dubai. For mains, we ordered a paccheri with swordfish and a homemadeSpagetti bolognese. Both were Ok, but honestly nothing too special. Overall, i do recommend this place for an italian night out.

The winters is the best time to visit Bussola, I come here often for business lunch meetings but often sit indoors. It’s definitely an elegant Italian restaurant and cosy too. However, the terrace ambience and tease of the sun over the umbrellas is just an absolute delight in the winters overlooking the pool and sea afar that. We ordered the set business lunch for AED 130 per head which is good value for this place; I went seafood fare all the way with bread topped with goat cheese; heirloom tomatoes, smoked salmon and basil followed by grilled sea bream with veggies. Coming back for another lunch or more while the weather in Dubai rocks!

We tried Bussola Pizzeria, which only serves pizza, salads and appetizers. It is on the rooftop of Bussola, the Italian fine dining. A great option when the weather is good as it is only outside seating. It is kids friendly and they have a wide kids menu. Friendly staff, good service and fresh, delicious food. Recommended. We also tried Bussola, the Italian fine dining. Nice ambience, yummy food and prompt service. It has a superb outside terrace and great vibes.

Delicious food but it took at least 30 to 40 minutes to get our starters and 2 of them didn’t need cooking and one was a seafood salad! Ages to get ash trays (sorry) after asking two or three times, and we never even got the rest of the drinks we ordered... then when they said they will give us dessert on the house, we said we don’t want dessert, either our starters or the 2nd bottle of wine or at least a round of glasses of wine (only 3 of us) on the house was preferable. They just laughed our comments off and insisted on bringing us dessert we barely ate and said clearly we didn’t want - not to mention they would have brought something anyway because it was our friend’s 60th and they already arranged for that. So nothing really done to make up for terrible, slow service. They were apologetic yes but completely ignored our preferences, requests, etc., and smoke-and-mirrored us into thinking we were being compensated for the experience, actions which we clearly told them that we were not interested in. For the money (lots!), while we all agreed the food was great and accepted their apologies, it was totally not worth it unfortunately, and for our lot, pretty irritating as well as it marred a very special occasion. We were there Friday October 6, if anyone from the Westin wants to get in touch to discuss because I’m still pretty irate over it all.

We ordered caprese of buffalo mozarella cheese & tomatoes with balsamic glaze for the appertizer, gnocchi with chopped slowed cooked lamb and fettuccine with pork sausage, mushrooms and truffle for the main course and molten chocolate cake and apple struddle for the dessert. Okay let's start with the appertizer. The taste and presentation were good, nothing really special. The gnocci is not what we expected, the pasta looks like polenta cake and even the taste is similar with polenta cake, tbh this one is my least favorite one. The fettuccine is a must order. The aroma and the overall taste are really good! But the down side is the pasta itself. Some of them are cooked and some are a bit undercooked. Both desserts are really good. The molten chocolate cake comes with the pear sorbet which compliment the heavy taste from the cake. The apple struddle's filling is well cooked and has balance taste. Hands down to the manager who was very attentive and friendly last night.

Very good high end restaurant in Westen hotel. The food is served in beautiful way, waiters are attentive all tge time. It's pricy but it was business lunch :) You need to be careful some of food contains alcohol or pork so be sure to ask in case you can't have them :) I attached pictures.

Wonderful dishes. Service is excellent, they give you space and show up at the right times. On the latest visit I've tried: - Prosciutto di Parma: Huge serving, high-quality prosciutto - Risotto con Funghi: Delicious and well executed - Tortelli di Ricotta e Spinaci: The favourite of the night - absolutely fantastic. Flavourful and authentic. - Gnocchi Quattro Formaggi: Good dish; the gnocchi itself was perfect but the sauce a bit on the boring side. Compared to the other dishes it was bordering bland. - Tiramisu: Definitely not the best Tiramisu I've ever had, but good enough to finish off the night. Overall, it's a top notch Italian restaurant, with a wonderful selection of wines and dishes. It would be nice to have in place a 'seasonal' menu, with new dishes for a temporary period - after visiting 2-3x the menu starts to get a bit boring.

Famous for being the best pizzeria in Dubai, Bussola is loved by locals and visitors Strangely situated at the roof of a fine dining Italian restaurant also carrying its name the ground floor doesn't serve pizza and the top floor doesn't serve but pizza, so if you want a bit of both you'll need 2 reservations The pizzeria, unlike the fine dinning serves good food The pizza is really good and the antipasto and delicious Highly recommended when the weather is good

I would love to start with the view and ambience.... As u enter the restaurant ur eyes open up to see a crowd with elegance...waiters busy running...hearing to chit chats..a nice breeze...as u move in you see the high rise buildings...lighted...a nice view of the hotels lush green gardens... It was a date with my husband so we wanted a nice corner table for a view and to feel the romance,however it was busy day it so we waited to get a table...so we thought of sitting at the bar and having a cocktail...sipping and waiting but seems no luck..the waitress called..she did try but couldn't manage so we were sitting in the middle, we ordered a glass of wine and of course a pizza...while we waited we got a basket of bread to munch..the bread was freshly baked...the aroma made me more hungry..I thought i wld need to order something more...so here came the pizza...hot..crisp...baked to perfection...the first bite and made me forget the take away pizza of Domino's,pizzahut...😂😂of course I cannot compare the pizza with them..but this was the real name of pizza...i hav had pizzas from celini at grand hyatt Mumbai..but this was much better than what i had there..there was taste to every bite...i din feel like did i order something wrong! As I started eating i was soo full..the thought of ordering something else vanished!!😝 Two of us one pizza was enough..that's something... Much worth of its cost coz it's filling...it gives the ambience and the view!!

A great place for sunsetting and drinks after work. It has a very relaxing ambiance and good view. The cocktails and bar food are good. I didn't have a chance to try the restaurant side yet, but I heard it is very good Italian food.

Typical night out for a dinner . The place did not meet our expectations 100%. The portions were relative small so I was a bit sarcastic when I asked the waiter: did chef forget to add pasta? The service was fast and very polite but the atmosphere had nothing to do with Italy.

Bussola is regarded as one of the better Italian restaurants in Dubai; so on a rainy Saturday afternoon in Dubai we decided to give it a try, visiting for their lazy Saturday brunch, called ‘La Tavolata’. Bussola is to be found at the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi resort down by the Marina and J.B.R. The restaurant is situated away from the main building, in the gardens, by the swimming pool. It has a top deck which serves as a pizzeria, a large restaurant on the ground floor and a well-known terrace which was where we expected to be sat; however in the morning we were called by the restaurant and advised that this would be closed due to the weather – pretty nice of them to give us an ‘F.Y.I.’! Consequently we were sat inside – a shame as though the restaurant is nice, it’s nothing special. I wouldn’t have minded a few drops of rain in my antipasti to get some fresh air and breeze! La Tavolata is a great way to try Bussola. For AED 250 per head you get a selection of small Italian plates and unlimited house beverages. Both selections are pretty limited but what you get is of very good quality and crucially – it’s enough for what you need – I really prefer brunches like this where it’s quality over quantity. There is a decent red and white wine on the menu, the liquid hangover that is called Prosecco, Peroni and a few well-made cocktails – an Aperol Spritz, Hugo and a Negroni. We loved the food, and we are very picky when it comes to Italian bites. The brunch menu allows you to try a variety of dishes, including cold cuts of pork and cheese, smoked salmon and burrata bruschetta, grilled octopus, fried seafood, fresh seafood salad, sliced skirt steak and tuna tartare (I may have missed a few). Oh yes, and a very good selection of ice creams, fruits, and Tiramisu (of course!) for dessert. Some highlights included some of best calamari I have had in Dubai, the grilled octopus and the salmon. We were a little wary at first as the food didn’t seem a lot, but it is a perfect amount to get suitably full-up on, though I would recommend that Bussola include a bowl of pasta to share because, well, it’s BUSSOLA and we want to try their famous pasta! I found it very good value for five hundred dirhams all in; it’s a nice place to drop into on a Saturday afternoon if you’re in this part of town. Away from feeding our fat faces, service was on-point and very smooth, I was particularly impressed with the way the servers explained the food and were able to have a laugh with us – it didn’t feel as stuffy or as formulaic as a lot of similar places in town. As the rain stopped, we were able to take our drinks out on to the terrace to enjoy the views over the (very empty) pool area and beach at the Westin, before the heavens opened once more and we scuttled back home. We’ll definitely come back to try the full menu or pizzeria.

Wonderful for those special occasions ! The outside seating ambience is beautiful. The trees with lamps hanging gives a classy elegant feel and yet so earthy. The staff were good. The starter of caprese was very average. Not worth the price. The bread basket had an amazing tomato chutney served. The main course of veg whole meal spaghetti and better halfs sea food pasta was quite good. The dessert was excellent. Overall a good evening. And worth a one time visit for sure!

The terrace upstairs is just great! The view is amazing and relaxing. We went during sunset and really enjoyed it. The pizza I chose was really good. I had the basic four cheese pizza but added parma ham to it and it was perfect! The dough was not too thin and not too thick. However, the pepperoni pizza was not the best. Maybe because it was beef pepperoni and not pork...I'm not sure. Regardless, I enjoyed my visit.

Whenever I crave Pizza, Bussola is THE Pizza place. Starting with an amazing location overlooking the beach, coming to the fantastic ambiance, and last but not least the food. I will be forever in love with their delicious Buratta cheese plate, and they bring the perfect bread that goes so well with it. The pizza is great, the right thickness & crispiness. Guess the only disappointment I had there was the ice cream given it wasn’t special at all, and came to the table halfway melted but they changed it. If you fancy a good pizza, go to Bussola but mind it’s on the expensive end.

Muito bem recebidos, staff muito simpático e agradável, local algo reservado. Tudo com muito bom aspecto, serviço bem conduzido do início ao fim. Na cozinha e como especialidade não se destaca em nada, tudo muito simples, não se destaca nenhuma iguaria. Gostei de tudo, inclusive uma mista de marisco com polvo e dourada grelhada, mas não merece o valor que tem em destaque. Recomendo para grupo de amigos e para partilharem entre todos.

This restaurant should be rated based on the two parts as the terrace top seating area is a pizzeria and it's amazing really I love their pizza and the ground floor which is more of a serious dinner area really I liked their pasta but it was quite average for me I love Italian food but tat was just too basic . Came here for a friends birthday, and we all sat in the upstairs pizzeria. Let me just start off by saying the ambiance is lovely. It is so chill and relaxed, and the views of the Palm and the marina are great. Service is very attentive, however our orders did take quite some time to arrive. Seeing as most were pizza, don't know why that was so. The pizza was quite average, which was a disappointment as I've been hearing about this place forever. I believe it is on par with a lot of the new higher end pizza places that have opened, and to be frank I've had better pizza at a number of other fine dining Italian restaurants in Dubai. I don't find myself craving to come back for the pizza, but wouldn't mind stopping by here for the views and a casual dinner.

Very good pizza Italian Style. Thin and not to heavy or oily. Staff was Friendly. Pizza is between 80-100 dirham. Didn't like the fact that they didn't bring any appetizers like bread or focaccia while waiting for the pizza. Would expect that in a 5 star hotel when you pay 100 Aed for a pizza.

Just looooove this place! Especially for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. Delicious food, laid back atmosphere & friendly staff. Food usually arrives on time & I find the price reasonable for what you get but definitely go as a group as portions are quite big - i.e. pizzas are meant for sharing & the burrata can definitely be split across 4-5 ppl. Went to Bussola for lunch today with friends in from the UK after a long long while. Not sure whether they've had a recent refit in my absence but it seemed a bit more spruced up than on my last visit. The service was excellent and the pizza... Oh the pizza... it has to be the best in Dubai, doesn't it my carb-loving-friendlies? I shared a "Calabrese "(hot) and a "Bussola" (swaping out the breasola for parma ham). A few lost points on for some confusion at the time of booking (we ended up walking-in in the end) and forgetting the extra onion I requested on my Calabrese, but to be fair, so satisfied was I with the taste, I dint even check the bill to see if they'd charged me for those! Surely this place deserves "Dubai-Icon" status?

Italian food quality is very good.. they have 2 floor the uper is for pitza.
