Panera Bread

Panera is pricier than other establishments when you want a quick bite, but the price is worth it considering the quality of the food. The staff are always in a good mood when you visit, and are patient as you think about what you want. Seating is spacious, and the interior has a nice aesthetic. The only downsides are the food can take a bit to come out, and the open window of the kitchen area does allow you to hear any gossip the kitchen staff is talking about.

I came in to this York Panera earlier this morning to purchase a dozen bagels and 2 loaves of bread. As I walked through the front door I could see that there were no customers at the counter, there was an employee behind the counter looking at me, and another employee behind the counter sweeping the floor with a broom. As I approached the counter to place my order, the 1st employee turned around and walked away, and the second employee just stared down toward the floor sweeping away and completely ignoring me, even though I was only 5 feet away from her. So I figured that Panera is obviously flush with other people's money and they don't need my business, so I walked out, left the premises, and drove over to the nearby Giant grocery store to make my purchase for a whole heck of a lot less money that's for sure. Definitely will not return to any Panera in the future based upon the disrespect they showed me this morning. Goodbye Panera!

Shrewsbury Panera Bread is the perfect blend of the small town America sandwich shop blended with healthy and/or calorie rich food choices. Its menu offers choices for every diet. The food is yummy. The service is excellent. Their dining room is large enough so customers can enjoy a private conversation. And, Shrewsbury Panera Bread is very clean.

I go to Panera quite often and this week has been AWEFUL. Not only has the wait time been long but yesterday I ordered 2 whole strawberry poppyseed salads, one for yesterday and one for today, and they both looked like half salads. I couldn't go back because I had already wasted 20 minutes in line. Today I went back for a sandwich and this was the result. For the prices they charge this should be a NON ISSUE!! Very disappointing to say the least. Re-evaluating my lunch options if this continues into tomorrow.

I had been working there for five months. Verbally abused on a daily basis by Tammy Markel. Spoke to another former employee who said she was treated badly by Tammy Markel. Management won't do anything about it. I was hired full time and only got part time hours. Sent me home on various days. Wouldn't ask me if I wanted to go home. They would tell me. New General manager shows favortism towards certain employees and management. The assistant general manager sent me a fake message firing me and gave me no apparent reasons. The management and staff sucks!

I’m a Sip club member and I often visit different locations depending on where I’m traveling but today was the first time I stopped at Queen street, York, PA and by far I had the worst experience ever. Both the employee and the so called manager treated me like a crook and embarrassed me even though I showed them the email with a confirmation of my coffee refill order. They just told me that I should just leave and take it up with customer service because they don’t see any orders from me on their side. They don’t deserve even a one star!! . I’ve been to so many Panera locations in different states and I’ve always been pleased with their service especially the ones in Carlisle and Mechanicsburg Unfortunately because of this experience today I have canceled my sip club membership
