Popped as we hadn't reserved anywhere in york centre.the food was absolutely amazing hadn't the best fish and chips I have ever had.
Only downside was a large group of lads(football team) were loudly swearing all the time we were there

Always a treat to visit, lovely atmosphere, and lovely bar staff, especially Imogen who is always helpful and friendly and pours a lovely pint of Guinness, would recommend anyone to stop by.

Lovely experience at The Walnut Tree!
I’ve visited plenty of times and the atmosphere is superb! The bar staff are all friendly, especially the bartender Imogen who’s always smiley and very funny.
Plus the dogs at the pub are always a fun treat!

Was recommended this pub for an evening meal. It was walking distance from our hotel and we were very pleased with the choice.
It was Monday night and very quiet however, the food was well priced, hot and tasty. Good menu selection too.

We ate as a family. My daughter granddaughter and I. The roast dinner was tasty. Roast potatoes were hard but yorkshire and gravy was very nice. My daughter had pork belly burger which she enjoyed. A pleasant day!

What a fantastic pub. Loved my lunch in the beer garden with a crisp pint. Rebecca seems to be an excellent member of the bar staff I've never once had a bad drink poured! I also highly recommend the quiz nights they are great fun and only £2 entry.

Not been here before but came in for quiz night. I had a wonderful night out with the girl friends. Would definitely reccomend the chicken burger! The staff were very nice and accommodating for our large party size.

Lovely pub! I hadn't been in here before but I'd passed it lots of times and it finally took my fancy. They had great decor up for Halloween. I ordered a steak and my wife ordered a cod and chips, the fish was a very good size and the steak was cooked really well! I reckon they have the best peppercorn sauce in all of york
Service and atmosphere was really good 10/10.
