It’s a joke trying to order from this place. Had their food once before for lunch and the little Italy sandwich was delicious but the delivery took a long time. Tried to order about 4 times since then and 3 times that I called during the week before 3pm and I was told that their grill was closed because the cook has to leave. Keep in mind their site and google says they close at 4pm on weekends and 6pm on weekdays. After taking about 20 mins of figuring out what I wanted to order and about to spend over $30.00 I couldn’t order a thing because the grill was closed. I tried again today (Saturday) at 2:15pm and was put on hold to see if the grill was still open. Then I was told they could make my sandwich but they didn’t have the basil pesto that goes on the sandwich so I opted for a different sandwich but then I was told they didn’t have the croissant that goes on that sandwich so I said forget it. Lunch time in the normal world is between 11:30am and 3pm. I have to be at work at 4pm so I realize that I can’t ever order from this place when heading to work or during the hours that their business is supposed to be open. The food is good if they have it in stock and a person there to cook it, which seems to be never unless you schedule your belly to only eat lunch between 12pm and 1:30pm. This is not how you run a food business in NJ, too many other places to order from that have normal operating hours and food inventory stocked properly and a cook on staff during their business hours. Very disappointing!

Ordered a few of their bite size sandwich platters. They were not kidding about bite size! they don't square off the meat on their sandwiches, leaving only tiny slivers of meat and cheese on the bread. Not to mention they only put one piece of meat on the bread anyways, leaving you with barely nothing on the bread when it's not placed right. The trays are 49.95 a platter, so they are not cheap and the sandwiches should be done better.

Solid sandwich with a variety of planes upon which the meat can be served. Good amount of meat, not overloaded but also not a bread sandwich. Meats were sliced to perfection and the lettuce was leaf and not shredded. Decent choice of drinks and chips. No seating outside of good weather, in that there is no seating outdoors. Nice folks behind both counters. Decently priced.

A really GREAT deli. Pull off street to park in front. I used the on line menu and ordering option on my cell phone and it worked out great. Great staff here too though it did take 10 minutes more after my 11:40 request time. The foods were teriffic, cheese burgers, tuna melt with swiss and pastrami on rye, all served with trimmings to order plus politely included deli pickles. If you love deli flavors then this place is for you.

I was inquiring about a deli tray last minute with the knowledge that I was probably going to be impossible to place my order, and the woman on the phone was extremely rude for no reason as I was telling her that it was okay if they could not make the sandwiches for when I needed them. She was very impatient when all I was trying to do was get off the phone with her and had to tell her bluntly that I accepted the fact they couldn't make the sandwiches and I wanted to hang up so that I could inquire elsewhere, to which she responded sarcastically "good luck." Very unnecessarily rude when I was being very polite.

I went there for the first time this morning and the lady at the front desk was not very patient with me, when I was trying to make my order.I had to wait an extra long time even though many people that came after me got their food first. When it comes to customer service this place is still lacking a smiling face.

A really great old-world style pizza place that's been around about as long as Fresh Meadows itself. You can tell they haven't changed much in decades. Excellent pizza and garlic knots; my favorite is a chicken and tomato pie. The crust is perfect, the chicken is moist and delicious, and the tomatoes are fresh and generously cut. If you live in Fresh Meadows and order delivery they are very fast, a much more efficient operation than the local franchises that make you wait an hour for a pie!
