Captain's Inn Point Lookout

The sign out front tells no lies "come for the views and stay for the company" is as true a statement as there ever was! This place has breathtaking views, good food. The rooms are clean and modest. But Captain and Miss Rosie, Bobby and Shawna and the entire staff make the stay, be it for a quick beer or an extended vacation! This place is a true gem and it can't be beat. Photos don't do justice! Its a must visit.

The waitress was so friendly and attentive. She knew all the specials and was sure to keep drinks topped up. The food was good. We are from Ireland and my partner tried the meatloaf. He didnt like it but it had nothing to do with how they cooked it.. he just doesn’t like meatloaf. I had the chicken gouda and it was very tasty. For dessert I had the Reese Pie. It was delicious. The view while you eat is just amazing. You can see 5 states from this point.

We've been driving by this place for years going to and from Windham, but finally tried it and we will be back! Delicious food and it was so hard to decide what to get, everything on the menu looked good. We were there on a quiet night, which helped, but we appreciated their friendliness to a large party bringing in multiple toddlers (who ended with a dance party). Our server Bobbie was attentive and was quick to offer to us ordering food for the kids before everyone else. It then came out quickly, which was so helpful. Thanks for the warm welcome!

This place is Incredible!! As much as I'd love to keep this gem to myself, I feel it's only right to share. I live for nature and gorgeous views. Panoramic view from your picture window is priceless for me! I am picky. I saw a negative review and became a little skeptical of the dining, but the convenience and view were enough for me to give it a shot. It was worth it! We had a variety, and everything was very good and fresh. Service was great too:) What more could you want!!
