We drive 40 miles to enjoy Sakura's (delicacies). The only place we visit in that mall. Their food is delicious, fresh and inexpensive. Service is wonderful! We usually order take out then sit comfortably with a snack and relax while we wait. (Although we order several different items it never takes very long.) I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

This is my "go to" for authentic Japanese food in Vermont. It is owned, operated, and food is cooked by a Japanese family. Watch Japanese TV while you wait. Totemo oishii desu!

I am sorry to say that our Sushi and Sashimi Lunch today was very disappointing. The fish was tired and old. There was an off smell to one of the sushi pieces. The pickled ginger was tough and dry. We had frozen mochi for dessert - also disappointing, covered in freezer burn. Sad, the whole experience was sad.

Came in for a quick meal in the evening. Was turning around and told they were closed because "it's too cold outside". Makes no sense since I was already in the restaurant. Will not return also the host up front was very rude

Always consistent with quality fresh made sushi and other delights from their menu. Good miso soup and many menu options for those who are not sushi lovers. Can be very busy so plan ahead if u want take out, but worth the wait. Great service, eat in or take out and always very friendly.

Absolutely amazing fresh food !!!! Not just sushi options. There are other options that are just as good !! The portions aren't big but they aren't small either. I love the genuine food ingredients they use. Also they have Milk tea.....if you've never tried that...you must go if you're a tea drinker ! It's a cold drink and it's absolutely amazing ! And only 2 dollars a can ! Yum !!!! Also thier Japanese brand drink for kids has sugar cane instead of high fructose syrup! Super cool ! 😎

The food is amazing! My friend got her food before me and I was kind of hangry. I love when food comes out together. But honestly there are worst things then seeing someone eat delicious food in front of you while you wait.

After living in Japan for three years, I have longed for real Japanese food. Hibachi garbage wasn't cutting it. This place is authentic Japanese food and great service. Arigatou gozaimasu!

Sushido has excellent & inexpensive sushi. We found Sushido years ago when we'd just moved to the area. We've only had sushi and tempura here, but both are excellent. The fish is always wonderful quality, yet the prices are very low. The tempura is great; the flavor of the coating is consistent and adds crunch without overpowering the veg or shrimp. Since this is a tiny place, seating is limited and when they're busy, waits can be longer (small kitchen, small staff). It's homey, not date-night elegant or formal...but then you aren't paying a premium for ambience. I will also mention we've ordered take-out, even larger quantities for parties, and never had a problem or been disappointed.

BEST weekday sushi place. Have been coming here for years. Great for weekday take away, or a quick bite while shopping on the weekends. Best prices for good sushi you will find anywhere else in town. Haven't had a single item off this menu I didn't really enjoy. Definitely a no frills place but you can really start to appreciate that when you see your bill. Portions are on the smaller side so order more than you think you'll be able to eat!

Best Japanese Food (and affordable!). Can't say enough about this place! The food, both sushi and kitchen items, is fantastic! I love the mom and pop feel, where your order at the counter and bus your own tables (and more often than not NHK will be on the TV). Favorite kitchen items: pork curry, tempura udon, yakisoba. Favorite sushi items: echigo roll, double punch roll (or salmon double punch), great spider roll. There is also a small grocery store in the restaurant where you can pick up dry goods as well.

Not happy. Not pleased. I was in the area on business and love Japanese food so I thought I would try. I tried to call in my order ahead for pickup but could not get thru. So I figured I would just go there and place the order to go. I ordered Yakisoba and spicy tuna roll. I waited about 40 minutes for my order and the boy working the counter only apologized slightly after 30 minutes. When I got the order and got back to my hotel I had something other than what I ordered. I had a couple of tempura vegetables and a tub of udon noodles. After such a long wait and wrong order I did not want to go back. I called and let them know about the mistake, he did apologize but did not really try to correct it.

Great food for low price, service very quick. U can see the kitchen from where you're eating - so you know it's clean. Not great interior design but I don't really care for that. Big plus for fresh flowers on each table. Plus u can buy goodies from Japan (like dry seaweed) on a little stand here. Absolute yes and full recommendation

The best place around. This is a no-frills restaurant that serves homestyle Japanese food and is DELICIOUS. I have had many items on their menu and loved every one. They use good quality ingredients and flavors are correct and what I would find if I were back in Japan. If a restaurant has natto on the menu, they know what they are doing when it comes to Japanese food.

Japanese owners, great price, fresh fish!. Great budget sushi! The owner, who also owned the former Sakura in downtown Burlington,( which sadly closed after more than 20 years) keeps this going, and it is cafeteria style, not much for atmosphere or a fancy date, but great fresh Japanese food. <br/>The Okinawa roll with mango is great, and the spicy tuna roll has big chopped pieces, not ground inferior tuna with crunch to hide the taste which is what you get at other so called "Japanese" restaurants. Having a Japanese owner and some Japanese staff is rare. Still my favorite for sushi cravings on the run, although closed on Sunday. Brings me back to Japan every time, they even have Japanese television station on while you are dining.

It is cheap fast sushi made by Japanese people who are not trying to be upscale. The great spider roll is delicious! We ordered Okinawa and echido and really liked both. The mango and avocado compliment the tuna nicely.

A storefront where you order at the counter. The rolls are fairly priced, the tempura was crisp but still oily, the portions small. Miso soup must be ordered separately for most dishes. A rush in, eat, leave sort of place. If you want a dining experience with generous portions and fuller menu not to mention comfortable seating I suggest going elsewhere.
