Hungry As A Wolf

Awesome experience all around. Our "wolf pack" had a fantastic time. The good was also really good. Our only issue was housekeeping knocking at 10, when we paid to do a late check out. They also came in at 1, while I was on the toilet( and do not disturb sign on the door). So, communication between the front desk and cleaning crew is imperative!

GWL is an annual tradition. We still went this year and the park is still amazing. Staff seems to be doing what they can to keep guests safe. My primary complaint (hence 4 vs 5 stars this time) is inadequate seating in the water park and lack of tables anywhere in the resort l, which made dining with 4 small kids challenging. I understand the reasoning but there should be enough seats for paying guests to put towels/belongings. We still had a great time.

We stayed here in the first week in Nov 2020 and there was almost NO enforcement of safety regarding the virus. (I was convinced it would be safe, I instantly regret coming.) There were signs about wearing masks and there were spots on the floor to encourage safe distance, but many people ignored these and no one said anything. There was construction ongoing even in the room right next to us. It was like being in a hotel DURING renovation. Many of the attractions were closed due to health, which is good but also removes much of the fun of being here. There was very little effort to protect people and ensure they have a good time. It was clear they just opened their doors to make some money. We used to love this place, but we will most likely not return for a long time.

Came for 2 nights. The resort was very clean and comfortable and I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about the actual resort and amenities. We loved Magi Quest, the water park and all the activities. We bought the wolf pass and it was worth it. The downside with much of anywhere these days is having to be around and deal with other people. Kids running wild everywhere with no adult supervision and no manners. Doors slamming from 8pm to 1130 pm every 10 seconds is horrible. People these days just don’t care about anyone but themselves.

We have been to Great Wolf over 10 times now. We usually go at least once a year since my daughter was 2. We went for my daughter's birthday overnight Friday. With covid, all the things we loved are no longer available. The prices on everything have increased substantially, and it was just not comfortable. In the pool, you can no longer sit with your family, unless you purchase the cabana. Our kids always love to do magiquest. We always enjoyed being able to sit in a central location and watch the kids go floor to floor and not worry. All seating has been taken away. After spending over 600 on just one night of fun, I regret to say we will not be returning.

We went for my daughter's birthday. This was our first time here, ever. Everyone was wearing a mask and the check in people were very helpful. The email stated to arrive at 4 PM to check in. We arrived at 4:10 PM. Our room was not ready. We didn't get a room until 5:30 PM. We were already so tired that we did a couple magic quest games, ate dinner and went to bed. The all you can eat buffet was very little. Not a lot of picky kid friendly options. The lines were also crazy long as people would bring 6 kids to wait in line with them. By the time we waited and got back to the table it had already passed 30 minutes. Kids were not hungry at that point. The pool was great. Although you have to get there early, 9 AM, to save a seat because it gets crowded very fast. To save money, we brought our own food and just ate back in the room. The arcade was a lot of fun! And they had plenty of staff walking around to make sure things were being cleaned. They even had staff walking around with boxes of masks if they saw people without them. People kept their distance which was also nice. The rooms were spacious and the kids loved the bunk beds. Although my husband and I found some blood stains on the sheets of our bed. We brought this to management attention and nothing was done about it. We might think about coming back IF we bring our own sheets and blankets. 2 stars because of the room not being ready at time of check in AND the dirty sheets.

We’ve been to great Wolf many times and usually always enjoy. This time was much different. The room above us had absolutely no respect for being on an upper floor. They made so much noise throughout the duration of our stay. Banging, stomping, running, dropping things, etc as late as 2am and beginning as early again as 7am. It was brought to the attention of the front desk who said “security is patrolling that area”. Needless to say it was certainly never addressed. The waterpark was fun, but get there early. Seating is limited and you’ll be left standing the entire day and have to pay more money to rent a locker for your belongings. Safety measures seemed appropriate. I’ll definitely think twice before returning to Great Wolf again. **EDIT-got home and a few hours later received an email from the resort for our stay. Was charged $45 PLUS TAX for pool towels. Our party brought our own towels. This is pure confirmation that we will no longer return to Great Wolf after many years of enjoying. Camelback in the Poconos from now on!
