Select provided an absolutely fantastic buffet for a small 18th party at short notice last weekend. Every one really enjoyed the food and the selection, my sister in particular who guarded the vegan platter which was full of plant based food and she had to fight off the non vegans all afternoon. My budget was £100 and it was well worth it. I'm sure Select will be busy with orders from some of the guests who were all really impressed with the quality and presentation. Thank you James for your patience and your fantastic service.

Been using another local cafe for a while now. Called in today as my regular cafe had closed early. Ordered a salt n pepper chicken rice bowl with salad. Food was amazing.
But what really stood out was the staff. There were two men in the cafe who had finished eating, but had stayed just to converse with the staff. The girls working there seemed to know every customer by name and the owner was outside sweeping the street. Not outside his cafe but further down the road.
This is a proper community cafe with old fashioned values and food as good as any I've tasted. My new local haunt. Looking forward to trying the rest of their menu

This place was recomended by a family member i dont do many reviews but food was top notch the pulled pork & chips was on point, bacon & sausage barm was very nice & other food that was had was spot on, staff was really nice to that was on very chatty and welcoming. after comin back to the area after 16 years away well worth it! its on my doorstep so more visits will be had…..only downside is widnes eats are cheeky charging for collecting!!

in a world of maccies and tesco sandwiches its becoming a rare thing for a proper good old cafe, especially one who take pride in their food and value their customers week in week out for years upon years. id have quit my local job longtime ago if wasn't for their Omelette in a Bin Lid, its the size of dinner plate. huge choice on the menu and they have never once ripped me for being vegetarian :)

Had my 1st breakfast from select sandwiches this morning.
Food was very good,only thing letting it down was the fact that it was all in 1 tray and had been upside down during delivery,tomato juice had leaked into bag and the hash brown,black pudding was soggy.
I accept that this is not in control of Select and next time will endeavour to eat in.

Popped in today for a quick lunch ! Opted for the ham salad barm with homemade coleslaw, and chips … spot on, lovely and fresh. Partner had crispy salt n pepper chicken wrap, equally as good! Staff lovely and friendly, we will be back 👍🏻

Had breakfast and was impressed with flavor and portion. Was delicious! Even my fussy mother wants to return :) fair prices and cheaper than most around this area, staff was chatty and friendly and the menu easily readable. I will return!

I am a near daily customer at Select, as I eat from here most lunchtimes in work. The portions are very generous and food always tastes amazing. My faves are Jacket potatoes or the salt and pepper crispy chicken wrap! Love this place.

Passed in today after shopping, had to review the place because I only came in for a coffee while the kids ate, ended up eating and having a cheesecake to finish the meal off which was absolutely delicious, finished the meal perfectly. the kids were made up with their orders and can’t wait to go back again. The staff there made a real effort to make the place friendly and relaxed. Will be using again!
